Hello all. Just moved over from the Beeb forums. Got into Alias a few months ago and was so upset by the end of season 2. :unsure: Have read the episode guides to season 3 and think may just pick up again at season 4. What would you recommend?

I thought season 3 started out really well and then kinda died on its feet towards the end, but to miss it out completely might not be the best idea :)

Watch until the one Ricky Gervais stars, but don’t actually watch it. :huh:

I was just so happy when Vaughn and Sydney got together - and then so have him married!!! I though if I skipped the season I'd miss the misery!!! Are they all miserable in season 3?

Firefly DVD's only £19.99 in HMV I noticed. I bought them full price which was annoying. Thanks for the warm welcome!!! :)

Even though Season 3 wasn`t as good as the previous seasons, I thought it was still a lot better than some of the other things on TV at the same time. Although, the final episode just wasn`t up to the usual final episode standard and was pretty disappointing ... Or was that just me ?!

Hi Janey and welcome :D I'd say if you've got the money and the time then definitely watch season 3. I missed season 2 (couldn't get Five at the time) so got back into season 3 with the help of episode guides for season 2 and it was worth it. It's still way better than a lot of stuff out there :D

Alias S3 sucks, but don't skip it because you'll miss out on stuff that's important for S4...and there are some fairly good episodes. Just, like, fast-forward all the scenes with a certain character......

I think Will's only in one episode of season 3 and they dont look like they've brought him back yet in season 4.

I'd heard all sorts of duff reports about S3 but I have to say I'm really enjoying it. I like the way ALL the tables have been turned on Sydney completely. Though I am missing Irina Derenko, she was a great character.

Will someone buy Vaughn a razor? That can't be CIA regulation stubble!

Lets put it this way... if you miss out season 3 you will get very confused about season 4... unless of course you have read transcripts/recaps of every episode.

S3 does have some positives (and if you are watching on dvd, as Margot said, you can ffwd thru certain people..) especially lots of Sark and Weiss screen time....and also you'll find a relationship developing between father and daughter which is really sweet :thumbsup:

You wont find me Vaughn bashing - I'm a big fan!! Very yummy.

I was disappointed by the end of season 3, but enjoyed most of it :thumbsup:

Ok - after this big debate I will watch season three - but not until I can also buy season 4 and immediatly move onto happier episodes. I will fast forward any bits where Vaughn is married. :thumbsup:

While I was extremely disappointed with season 3 of Alias I would definitely watch it because there is bound to be story lines and events which will come up again in season 4 or later if another series is commissioned.

On the subject of Vaughn bashing somebody please by the man some laxatives. :p

I've read the transcripts for S3 and watched the video clips over at Alias-Media and I have to say that was depressing. From the videos I have to say that I'm not a fan of DA's hair, grow it out again ;). Hopefully S4 will be happier.

DA's hair was my favourite thing about season 3 :lol: ;)

Janey - watch it if you can, it's not all bad. Imo it starts out badly and ends badly, but there's some pretty good stuff in the middle. There is loads of Sark screentime... I found that to be a definite plus of the season. :D
