Title: Am I The Only One?

Aud - February 25, 2005 01:09 AM (GMT)
Ok Connor. I love him.

I love Angel as a dad I love the complex relationship the Cordy thing is icky but I love him Connor is amazing! I love the fight scenes with both Connor and Angel - they are so well done.

The scene where Angel and Connor are singing Jasmine to the tune of Mandy is one of the best ever!

I actually feel sorry for him in Home and almost all of season 4 especially when he yells at Angel 'Do not say you are sorry - it doesn't change anything!'

Am I totally alone on this one?

p.s - gotta say he is kinda hot from time to time!

I kinda liked Connor, never had a problem with him. I mean, when you're brought up in that way, must be a bit hard to find the land of milk and cookies

"I am my thoughts" - February 25, 2005 09:44 AM (GMT)
Sorry. I was virtually celebrating when everyone completely forgot him in Home. :guitar:

He was just so whiny. And he had stupid hair. I never took to the character.

I have a similar stance on Connor. His behaviour may have seemed stupid/annoying most of the time, but none of it was ever his fault. He had a tough time and I really felt for him most of the time. Grew up in hell, was used by Holtz as a final revenge against Angel, sunk his dad to the bottom of the ocean, was manipulated by pretty much everyone who needed something and was constantly confused. I think considering everything he went through, he turned out pretty well!

And the final scene in Home was absolutely hearbreaking :tear:

Entirely Pointy - February 25, 2005 02:26 PM (GMT)
no he looked like a 12 year old chior boy with soap issues

he was better in series 5 , he acted a lot more mature and i like the way he handled the finding out angel was his real dad, the old conner would have thrown a spiv :weird:

Laura - February 25, 2005 04:10 PM (GMT)
I never took to Connor <_<
And Connor and Cordy :x

Maria - February 25, 2005 04:34 PM (GMT)
I really can't take to Connor. OK I feel sorry for him from time to time but he is too whiney and don't even get me started on him and Cordie

obnoxious brat - February 25, 2005 04:38 PM (GMT)
I never really warmed to him, but I didn't particularly dislike him either.
Connor and Cordy was ick though.
He certainly wasn't annoying like Dawn though!

Krazy - February 25, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
I didn't hate Connor as he had troubled past. I did feel sorry for him in the episode Home and was glad when he got the happy ending.Him and Cordelia i agree it wasn't right :fear:

prophecy girl - February 25, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
connor: whinning superboy, never happy ... i am not ever sure that if he had dusted his father, he would have been happy ... he would have find someone else to blame about what happen to him.

ok people used him again and again (holtz, cordie, jasmine,...) but that's not a reason ... if for once he was using his brain in place of follow his heart ... nothing would have happen. imo

Childhood Trauma - February 26, 2005 11:00 AM (GMT)
I really disliked Connor.

He was the Angel version of Dawn, but a little older. He was sooo whiny and he always complained about stuff.

And his hair was weird.

The Cordy/Connor things was icky but the Connor/Angel Jasmine song was really funny.

star_fury - February 26, 2005 02:39 PM (GMT)
I never really hated Connor and I suppose there were times when I liked him. :whistling: Generally his character was a wasted opportunity.

prophecy girl - February 26, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
baby connor was kinda cute  but after a while watching angel (and cordie) going gaga about him was too much :toomuchtv: ... thank to holtz he went away but teen connor was not an improvement.

Childhood Trauma - February 26, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
I know what you mean about them around baby Connor. I mean they were always making googly eyes at him. It got annoying after a while.

I'm not saying that they ignoring him but he's not the centre of the universe.

wish me monsters - February 26, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
i really didnt like conor, he was annoying. when he talked and talked non stop i just tuned out. one good thing he did do was kill jasmine.

however i do agree it was very very sad at the end of home.

love emma :)

Childhood Trauma - February 27, 2005 10:07 AM (GMT)
I said earlier that I don't like him, but that could be because he wasn't really given a chance to w**k with the group. I mean Angel didn't let Connor w**k with him and they made him out to be the bad guy, but then again he was eg; dumping his father in the ocean, sleeping with the person his father loved, trying to kill all of the gang.

I did not care for Connor at all. I just got really annoyed with the "angry teenager"

InsaneInTheBasement - February 28, 2005 02:15 PM (GMT)
Someone should put Connor and Dawn in room together and let them wrestle it out - there could be oil of some kind involved - but large heavy weapons would be better. :whistling:

Did anyone else just go to a scary visual place?

Anyway the part with the weapons is good. I can see Connor throwing some stars at Dawn, who dodges some but the others cut off some of her fingers and then Dawn picks up a sword and Connor and axe, they throw them at each other and their heads roll on the floor in unison.

Someone should put them in a room together- lock it, and go far away.... unless the oil was boiling nicely, that is. In my (overused) opinion- two temporary characters that should never have been made permanent: Darla's pregnancy good, Angel as a goopy dad, also good. Conner lost it when he came back talking... as for Dawnie, how much less screeching if Buffy had died failing to save her in series 5... Maybe they were put in as a misguided attempt to give younger teens handy rolemodels- in which case, the network should probably have talked to some sensible teens about characters who were doomed to need a good slapping.

Darris - March 5, 2005 02:50 AM (GMT)
I didn't mind Connor.

What i did mind was Cordy doing the do with him. It was just so wrong. Even worse than Cordy kissing the Beast. Why they had to go down that road is beyond me.

TV Crazy - March 27, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
I liked Connor as the cute little baby, didn't like him during S4, but then liked him again in S5. The Cordy/Connor thing was one of the most distgusting things ever and Cordy kissing the Beast also a bit :weird:.

Ems :)

I didn't really like Connor, he was really annoying.

And Condelia/Cornor = :x

Older and Far Away - March 27, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
I thought Connor was awful. Truly a terrible teen. And, sorry, don't give me all that about his rotten upbringing. Some people apparently manage to turn out quite decent despite the way they were brought up.

And, yes, let's get Connor and Dawn together. Forget the oil, just the heavy weapons. With luck, they'll annihilate each other.

Hmm.

Unfortunately the other scenario is that they'll get it together. Two anguished teens against they world. And, oh God, they might breed. Doesn't bear thinking about. We all know what happened last time Connor had a hand (or something!) in anything like that .........

I know i was brought up in a hell dimention were i was often tied up in front of very large beasts that wanted to eat me or worse, and left to defend my self, my parents were killers and i never new what chocolate was but hey i turned out all right ;)

Having just watched S3 and only a bit of S4, I can say I quite like the character at the moment. Really livened up the end of the season for me. For some reason I find him very cute as well...this worries me  . However, what I've seen of him in season 4, doesn't look great...he loses his cuteness somewhat as well iirc.

Yay-For-Me - March 31, 2005 06:58 PM (GMT)
Loved Connor as a baby, really cute and made me quite broody(not a good thing!). In seaon four he was really annoying. Being with Cordelia was :x.

Oh yes :fear:

You have way too vivid an imagination there

Can you imagine the Beeb showing that scene :toomuchtv:
