Another goodie. Was surprised to see the end of the Narn/Centauri war so soon, but I suppose the biggie is yet to come. I'm fully expecting the Shadows to come out and take on them all. :fear:

I felt really sorry for G'kar. :( Londo looked quite distraught when he was in the ship looking at the Narn homeworld's destruction, but when he was back in the council meeting, he was rather a b@stard. <_<

Good to see whatshisname from the planet below them, again. I don't fully understand what part that will have to play in the war, but I'm guessing it will be fairly important.

Those two scenes are extremely powerful. The first, Londo watching on as Narn's surface is devastated is played superbly by Peter Jurasik. The look on his face conveys a wealth of emotion.

The scene towards the end with Londo and G'Kar in the council chambers is even better, and again, represents some of Jurasik and Katsulas' best w**k on the show, especially up until this point.

Fasten your seatbelt

Indeed, you've had the taster - now for the main course!

Great suff with superb performances by PJ and AK. The switches as Londo goes from bon vivant to hard nosed diplomat, while G'Kar goes from proud warrior to beaten citizen are excellent.

The scene where Londo brings the Centauri demands to the Council is incredibly powerful, culminating in when he shouts "NOW!!!" at Sheridan :o

The sad, slumped figure of G'Kar in that scene is heartbreaking. There's some excellent direction there, too, with Londo in the background as G'Kar says his piece.

"No dictator... no invader... can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."

:tear:

So Sheridan finally learns about the Rangers :) and she just has to go and make one of his speeches, doesn't he?

Best of all, though, Londo standing at the viewport of the Centauri vessel as the mass drivers pummel the Narn homeworld. Not only is it a superb effects sequence, but also the expression on Londo's face speaks volumes.

One of my favourite episodes, pivotal and brilliant from start to finish

Even with John Schuck's usual overacting
