Brannon Braga, the co-creator and executive producer of Star Trek: Enterprise and a member of the Star Trek writing staff since Star Trek: The Next Generation, is an executive producer of a pilot for a new series for UPN's fellow Viacom network CBS.

The Futon Critic has a listing of shows in development, including new series for UPN that might replace Star Trek: Enterprise and the CBS listing for Threshold, which is described as a drama concerning "a female government contingency analyst who leads a team of scientists and military personnel to respond to the threat of a mysterious alien lifeform."

Charles S. Dutton has been cast in the pilot, which is being produced by Paramount Network Television and lists four other executive producers. By coincidence, Braga wrote an episode of Star Trek: Voyager that was also called "Threshold" and concerned the evolution of humans into mysterious amphibious lifeforms.

The Futon Critic mentions two other UPN pilots in development, Friends in the A.M., a series about the three female hosts of a morning talk show, and 20 Things To Do Before You're 30, a British comedy about a group of friends who make lists of plans and set out to achieve them. Yahoo! has additional information on these pilots.

UPN will also produce a drama called Triangle starring Crossing Jordan's Ivan Sergei as a young doctor who moves to the Caribbean when his wife disappears on their honeymoon there, according to Yahoo!.

Zap2It has additional articles on UPN's fall plans. One mentions that the network has greenlit an Aaron Spelling show called Crazy about what a female psychiatrist who learns from her patients. Another article at Zap2It describes R U the Girl with T-Boz & Chilli, in which the surviving members of the R&B group TLC will look for a female partner in open auditions captured on film. Tryouts will take place in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, Atlanta and Miami, with the eight-episode series likely to air later this year.

Well maybe when that pile of cack gets cancelled as well, we can expunge the little toad from Hollywood and make sure he never works there again

Well, I've gotta agree about it being good it keeps him away from Trek... IMHO Trek needs a bit of a breather (the term "bit" is used lightly), and if Berman and Braga can keep themselves busy with other stuff, I feel it could do the franchise some good. :)
