Ever have one of those days when you turn on the television and all your friends and family are on one of those investigative programs, talking about their strange experiences with aliens and conspiracies and galactic intrigues? No? John Crichton has.
I remember being slightly disappointed the first time I saw this episode, mainly because I was expecting a full on action/adventure type episode as John and Co. stormed the Scarran mother ship or whatever looking for Aeryn. What we actually get here is nothing of the sort, and without these preconceptions this is a bizarre but interesting episode :D
John seems distraught over losing Aeryn, hiding in his room and watching an Earth programme that Moya picked up a couple of days ago on the TV Aeryn gave him for Christmas. “Alien Visitations” is a detailed look at Moya’s crew from the point of view of numerous ‘experts’ and intercut with unseen footage taken by John’s nephew, Bobby. Some of the people doing the analyzing were pro-alien, but most seemed either terrified or repelled. Rygel probably summed it up best when he said, “It’s a backward planet full of superstitious xenophobic morons.”
John remembers hearing the name “Katratzi” before, but does not know where. Nobody else has heard of it and all searches are coming up empty. Finally, whilst watching Sikozu on the show, he remembers. It was the word being shouted by Sikozu/Stark back in ‘Unreal Reality’. Within seconds he knows what to do. He makes a deal with Scorpy to trade the one thing he has left that’s of value: wormholes for Aeryn :o :fear:
What I'm not sure about is just exactly how John thinks Scorpy has set him up, and what
