| Fans determined to see a fifth season of Star Trek: Enterprise on a network other than UPN will express interest to Paramount via advertising and rallies on both coasts of the US. EnterpriseFans.com, a joint project of SaveEnterprise.com and The Enterprise Project, has raised the funds to publish a full-page ad in tomorrow's Los Angeles Times, which the organizers determined would be larger and more visible than the originally planned ad in USA Today. The ad may be viewed in PDF format here. A fan at the newspaper made it possible for a full-page ad to be purchased. In addition to providing forms for fans to mail in to request an additional season of Enterprise, the ad announces a rally in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios. The rally, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on February 25th. The Enterprise Project has also announced plans to picket at CBS and at Viacom headquarters in New York to express support for additional seasons of Enterprise. On Monday, February 21, Trek fans are invited to begin Presidents' Day at 8:00 a.m. gathering in front of CBS during its morning news broadcast hours. Then, at noon, fans will congregate at Viacom headquarters on Broadway to campaign for either first-run syndication or cable broadcasting for Enterprise. At 3:00 p.m. the lobbying will move to the headquarters of the SciFi Channel to show support for SciFi picking up the series. |

| LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Through Monday (Feb. 21) morning, a group of dedicated "Star Trek: Enterprise" fans called TrekUnited had raised $34,290 toward convincing UPN, Paramount and Viacom that the soon-to-be-cancelled sci-fi drama deserves another season. That's a sign of good faith, but probably not enough to get the attention of a multi-billion dollar corporation. However, TrekUnited has bigger goals. They want to single-handedly put up $32 million to fund the show's fifth season. The group previously purchased a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, Feb. 15 arguing in favor of keeping the "Star Trek" franchise on the air -- on Sci Fi Channel if not on UPN -- for at least another year. Fans of the show have been asked to use their Times ad as a protest sign when the group marches on Paramount Studios on Friday, Feb. 25. "This will have to be a major showing and could mean the difference between the death of 'Star Trek' and 'Enterprise,'" the group's website argues. "Please, please rally all of the support that you can. Car pool, fly, drive or whatever it takes to get to this event. Let's show the Executives that we don't want to see 'Star Trek' die and we want to see new adventures in the future." Oh and fans planning to attend the event may not want to dress up as their favorite "Star Trek" characters. People willing to donate $10,000 of their hard-earned money (mostly refundable if they don't reach their goals or Paramount shuns their overtures) for a low-rated series don't look desperate but, apparently, those same people in costumes do. "Although we think that coming in dress would be great, we also think this would stereotype us all as 'Hardcore' Trekkers and would hurt more than help," the group begs. "Please wear your daily wear." For the season, "Star Trek: Enterprise" is averaging 2.87 million viewers for UPN, putting its ratings in the league of the already-cancelled "Grounded for Life" on The WB and UPN comedies "Eve" and "All of Us" which, due to vastly lower production costs, have a far better chance of renewal. The movement's main website, SaveEnterprise.com takes solace in some statistically iffy sources. The site's "News" section includes one link to a story about botched Nielsen ratings for the 2004-05 season (a story that makes no mention of "Enterprise") and to a poll on a MSN story about the "Enterprise" compilation that suggests that of 46,000 respondents, 81 percent favor the return of "Enterprise" (results followed immediately by the phrase "Not a scientifically valid survey). |

Sci-fi fans Rally Together For 'Enterprise ' Image: Star Trek Enterprise Crew When the news that 'Star Trek: Enterprise' had been unceremoniously cancelled by UPN broke on the internet, discerning sci-fi fans around the globe immediately put aside their differences and united together in a common cause. Within minutes of the news breaking chat rooms were buzzing, petitions were running and websites were er... humming. "We have to do everything in our power to make sure 'Enterpise' stays cancelled," said a spokesperson for the campagin. "It's had reprieves before - and Bjo Trimble has already threatened to write a strongly worded letter - but if we all pull together we can keep this dog down". The group calling themselves P.H.E.W. (Please Help Enterprise Wither-And-Die) have already paid for a full-page ad in 'Variety' which simply reads: 'Well Done UPN! Give Yourselves A Big Slap on the Back!' while crates of champagne, chocolate and caviar have been shipped to UPN executives and their family and friends. "Just keep the answer phone messages obsequious. If we're not careful the sci-fi channel might pick it up and drop 'Battlestar Galactica'; it's just the sort of crazy thing they'd do. We have to keep the pressure on. And once we sink this bitch we can use the momentum to bring down Kev Trek as well". Davids Caruso and Duchovny have called Tachyon TV to let us know that Scott Bakula is taking the news as well as can be expected, and we can exclusively reveal that Porthos has already found w**k in an episode of 'Joey'. |
