Title: ER

What do you think of S10?

IMO, S9 was showing signs of going downhill but S10 has brought it back up again.

I'm loving the Susan/Chuck storyline.

melian - April 27, 2004 11:39 AM (GMT)
I also love the whole Carter/Kem thing, and I like the new nurse, Sam, and her kid. The only bad thing has been RIP Romano!!

willowroolz - April 27, 2004 11:48 AM (GMT)
Romano was my favourite character. He made me laugh, he was so obnoxious. I was in denial after the helicopter fell on him. I'm over it now.

HollyHop - April 27, 2004 01:18 PM (GMT)
Its getting better. The first few Chicago based episodes were over shadowed a bit by the Congo episodes which where brilliant.

I'm really liking Abby as a med student again. She is a much better character now than she was before.

Carter and Kem is good. I wasn't so sure about her at first but I like her now.

Sam is a good addition although we could do with a bit less of her son. The weirdness was funny for a while now its just getting a bit much.

I'm hoping for an ER wedding sometime in the future. Chuck and Susan really need to get married and have a happily ever after. There has to be at least one that we get to see.

Comedy moment of the series has to be Romano's death. Did they really have to drop a helicopter on him?

This season has restored my faith in ER (despite the congo eps) as i didn't like season 9 at all...
And could we please have a relaionship that works?! Isn't Chuck just the cutest thing? Awwwwwwww :)

I know!! Him and Susan have GOT to stay together. I mean the writers could let one couple stay happily together for a while, can't they?

I hope so. Its been quite depressing recently relationship wise so they need to give someone a happy ending.

No Susan in this weeks ep :( , I wanna see how big her bump is now!

HollyHop - April 30, 2004 10:51 PM (GMT)
Well not that big in real life as she had her baby a few weeks ago!

melian - May 17, 2004 02:41 PM (GMT)
Last weeks episode was so sad, with Sandy dying and her family taking Weavers child. Poor woman, she lost the two most important people in her life on the same day!!

Flamingo - May 24, 2004 01:07 PM (GMT)
Am so glad Abby was nice enough to be there for her! And wasnt it funny how Abby dealt with the psych patients in the latest epi?

melian - May 24, 2004 01:53 PM (GMT)
I guess she has had a lot of practice :D

Jae - May 27, 2004 05:55 PM (GMT)
How sad were last night's double bills? :( I knew what was going to happen but it still came as a shock.

Kudz - May 27, 2004 06:32 PM (GMT)
I know! Poor Carter!!!

(and Kem)

melian - May 28, 2004 10:06 AM (GMT)
I don't know what it is about Carter, but every time he started to cry my heart just broke for him. None of the other characters really effect me that way.

Psycho Jack - May 28, 2004 02:58 PM (GMT)
Blinding episodes, with the latter standing out even more. Really really touching moments with Carter and Kem, they done well!

Rachel wasn’t needed in Midnight. So much happened, they didn’t really need to bring her back in this episode. It is good keeping the continuity, but she could’ve been used better in another episode.

Poor Carter. He’s been working in the ER for 10 years now and has never been consistently happy . . . from the transition to ER from surgery, Lucy, drug problems, Abbey and now this. The man deserves a break.

melian - June 1, 2004 10:00 AM (GMT)
Do you think Carter and Kem will stay together or will she go back home, never to be seen again? Or will he go with her?

Kudz - June 1, 2004 06:29 PM (GMT)
Carter better not go with her!!!

LoobiLou - June 2, 2004 11:12 AM (GMT)
I think i heard that Noah Wyle wasn't signed to do any more seasons?
Chances are if this is true that he'll go with her :)

melian - June 2, 2004 01:27 PM (GMT)
Nooooooooooooooo.............

They cannot possibly do ER without Carter. He is the heart of the program!!

Flamingo - June 3, 2004 08:18 PM (GMT)
He is the best!!! He does innovating procedure that save ppls lives. He cant go :(

Psycho Jack - June 4, 2004 07:59 PM (GMT)
They’ve got the hand of this cliff-hanger thing haven’t they?! :o :D

As far as I know NW is still on board . . . more

Jae - January 7, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
ER's on again. Thurdays 9pm on E4 and Mondays 10pm on Ch4.

Ghostmachine - April 1, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Officially announced today that Noah Wyle will be hanging up his stethoscope.... kinda. He'll be making appearances in 4 of the episodes in Season 12 and then again in Season 13.

Yep, sorta sad but the fact that he's gonna pop up from time to time is good :D

Anyone see Monday night's episode with Cynthia Nixon playing a stroke victim? Really well done (the episode was mainly filmed from her character's point of view) and I think it's amazing to see a show that's been on for so long still trying to do something different.

Brilliant episode  When she said Thank you to Luka at the end I had a tear in my eye. :tear: Nice to have a happy ending.

Flamingo - April 21, 2005 09:18 AM (GMT)
That was the best episode I have seen for ages. Makes you really think about how you communicate with your patients as well. very very good. :tear:

prophecy girl - April 21, 2005 09:27 AM (GMT)
it was a fantastic and innovative episode

Ghostmachine - April 21, 2005 08:08 PM (GMT)
Not bad for a show that's in its 11th year.

Ghostmachine - April 25, 2005 11:38 PM (GMT)
And another cracking episode tonight, set partly with Gallant in Iraq. Season 11 is shaping up to be one of the best, methinks.

Yay-For-Me - June 2, 2005 10:17 PM (GMT)
Watched the season finale tonight :tear: very sad and shocking.

Ghostmachine - June 6, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
And so it's the end of another season of ER. Who'd have thought this one would keep going for 11 years? But I think this last season has been excellent. There was a great one focussing on Ray Liotta as a dying patient, filmed in real time. Another great one with Cynthia Nixon as a stroke victim. And some good stuff out in Iraq too. They're really stretching themselves.

So...it's going to be interesting to see how the show holds up without Carter. I know there's lots of rabids posting on US messageboards that they'll never watch ER ever again cause he's not in it, which is an interesting angle to take regarding an ensemble show. Creatively, I don't think the show will suffer any without his presence (and that rather annoying Kem girlfriend of his), but it's going to be interesting to see how it fares ratings-wise. Hope it does well. It deserves to, it's still one of the best shows on TV.

Sparkle Motion - June 7, 2005 07:45 AM (GMT)
I was slightly disappointed in the finale. Why wasn't Susan or Weaver in it? Susan was there when Carter started so I thought they might have had a moment together and Abby used to go out with him (& he proposed to her) yet there wasn't anything more than a 'see ya'

Very scary stuff when the floor fell through :fear:

I was disappointed as well that they seemed to have forgotton that Carter and Abbey went out with each other for a couple of years and were incredibly close, they just said goodbye to each other as if they were no closer than the other 1st years Neela and Ray. And the one person who did get emotional was Luka and they never liked each other till pretty recently.

I did laugh at the end when Carter repeated Dr Greene's line ' you set the tone ' to Morris !

Ghostmachine - June 7, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
Morris is such a jerk. Really hope he's not going to be a major player next season.
