Title: Episode 4x06
Description: Nocturne

Psycho Jack - February 11, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Sydney the Vampire Slayer . . . nice a ring to it, aye? Drew Goddard has clearly been busy. :D

Eerie and atmospheric. That’s probably two very good words to describe this. Nevertheless, it was oddly entertaining but a bit anti-climactic. The Dixon/Sloane square off was probably the best part of the episode.

So that's six in and not an arc in site. Something has to kick off next week, right? Ah well. I have to say, whilst this season has grabbed me, I'm still enjoying it.

Oh also, the girl who killed herself at the start was in Line of Fire last season. How quick people go from season regulars to bit part-ers… :whistling:

Quite a creepy ep, but it reminded me soo much of the concept of Normal Again. Still, that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's fun seeing evil Syd just as much as it was seeing evil Buffy.

Loved the scene between Dixon & Sloane. Go Dixon!

Like you say, Moe, it would be nice to see an arc of some sort soon, unless they're really going down the Angel S5 route, and we don't see one til ep 15/16.

And just as an aside, can one of the mods possibly change the title of this forum to "Alias Season 4 (US Pace)"? It's kinda difficult to pick out in the active topics list otherwise. Cheers. :)

24hr soldiers a very common theme in scifi shows. i liked this new angle, instead of seeing some mad sleep deprived soldiers we got to see a mad sleep deprived syd :)

B) Dixon has allways been cool B)

Just finished watching this.

Very creepy beginning :fear:

LOL @ Sydney the Vampire Slayer

Very clever use of the plot though, to show Syd's fears manifesting through the use of sleep deprived hallucinations. Very telling, and themes no doubt, that will be revisited throughout the series.

Also so glad that Sloane finally said 'it' to Dixon. How could he w**k for Sloane for so many years, without ever guessing he was w**king for the other side. And yeah Go Dixon indeed, for saying to Sloane what I'm sure, we've all been dying for someone to say.

Creepy episode, and very good. Like Michelle said, it reminded me loads of Normal Again. And wasn't it more Sydney the Vampire , than Sydney the vampire slayer?!

Loved Dixon being all cool. I'm so glad normal Dixon is back. He went a bit non-Dixony in season 3.

I agree about the lack of arc being a bit annoying, with the other seasons stuff has been brought in really early. The whole covenant thing of season 3 almost happened immediately, iirc. But overall, a good episode.

Spiders :fear:. And Vaughn gets rid of the creepy one crawling along the bed .
Go Dixon, Go Dixon . And how creepy did Sloane look watching him go?
Poor Syd. And again they have a character express their feelings in an indirect way, like Father Vaughn in Ice. Is this gonna be a recurring theme or are they going to be able to talk to each other honestly again?
And Weiss and Nadia seem to be a proper couple. "Are you staying over?". But again, they need something to do

ETA: why did Syd's motorola phone ring with the nokia ringtone ?

willowroolz - May 2, 2005 03:46 PM (GMT)
Hmmm, not sure about this one. I'll certainly never have a cup of tea again without thinking there's a spider in the mug :fear:

Best part, as Moe said, was Dixon's face off with Sloane :)

Oh, and Jennifer Garner playing ice hockey. Two of my favourite things. I think I died and went to heaven :innocent:

I`m hoping that they`ll express their feelings through the use of glove puppets next ... :)

Whoo-hoo for Dixon !

Loving the series so far .

Another decent episode. I don't know if its just me but in the last few weeks the show's had a real The X-Files -ish feel to it ( you know the good stand alone X-Files episodes not the crappy arc ones ).

I really liked that the drug played on Syd's fears and it was nice to see a Syd vs Vaughn fight don't know if we've seen one before.

A big Yay for Dixon  personally I can't get past the fact that any of them would trust or w**k for Sloane but it was nice to hear Dixon actually voice what I'm sure alot of people really feel about Sloane.

This episode was fantastic  Spiders in the cup, horrible :fear: When Dixon told Sloane what the thought of him I was cheering him on. :yahoo:

I agree with Willowroolz but slightly different..... Michael Vartan  and Ice Hockey, two of my favourite things.

I agree, wholeheartedly, with the Michael Vartan/ice hockey assessment

Much the same as the rest of you, it was an OK episode, nothing much to write about. I liked Weiss and Nadia's conversation.........

Syd: Oh, are you.................?
Weiss: What? Staying? No.....(looks at Nadia)....unless I am!
Nadia: No!

:lmao:

I think they should just have a episode with them all playing Ice Hockey and I could mop MV's brow (or anywhere else he wants mopping) when they have finished :lmao:
