I was watching/listening to the commentary track from this episode which I thought had a couple of nice touches on my region 2 DVDs.

Firstly before starting the commentary there was a little video introduction by the commentators of the commentary featuring J J Abrams, Jennifer Garner, Jack bender (the director of the episode - I think that was his name?), Michael Vartan, agent Weiss( sorry I forgotten his name), and lastly, not in person but "live" from New York Victor Garber.

The next thing I liked about the commentary track was while Jennifer Garner & co was mentioning a certain part of a certain action scene (not wanting to spoil anyone) they then introduced a deleted scene showing what she had described actually happening branched into the episode!


Unfortunately I thought this was a wasted opportunity having six cast and crew members on one Commentary track. I think they would have done better to have two separate tracks with three members apiece, that way not only would you have two audio commentaries but you would be able to hear more from everyone rather than a lot of people being quiet while a couple talk in the main.

To be honest it wasn't the best audio commentary with a lot of congratulatory patting on the back of each other and not enough stories and facts to keep things more interesting. It was funny in places especially the comments that seemed to poke fun at Michael Vartan and his lack of facial expressions! It would definitely be interesting to hear if they continue ribbing him on a season 3 commentary track because his acting range is shown to be left wanting even more during season 3, IMO. He definitely wasn't hired for his acting ability. :rolleyes:

Same here! What with Michael Vartan, David Anders and Victor Garber :ph43r: who cares about the plot.

I agree it wasn't necessary for so many of the cast and crew to do the same commentary alot of the time people were talking over others and a lot was missed out. It would have been great if it had been split but then again, I wouldn't want to watch the ep twice just to hear the extra commentary. (Ok, I would watch it twice but many wouldn't).

I found it annoying in phase one when Sydney and co. shoot the workers of SD-6., even if they were unaware that it wasn't the CIA. They were just people like marshall and Dixon...wasn't it a little unfair? Foul play is never suggested on the show for that. :no:

Plus, I always wanted to know where the plane crashed. It was only a few minutes away from London after all, and when Syd bailed out she was over a populated area :o :lol:
