Politics  But that aside, it was still very enjoyable. Baltar was great as usual, and now owning a position of such power can only make his private conversations more noticeable. I'm now wandering who killed that man? Was it a Cylon or just one of Zarek's henchmen?
Big revelations on the Caprica front, I can see the Boomerbot being destroyed saving Helo, or something like that :tear:
This story has resonances for those of us who remember the turbulent 60s and 70s. Zarek perfectly exemplifies the slick 60s radical promising more freedom but planning less. I did cringe, tho, at the "good" guys and their dirty tricks -- eg, Apollo refusing to allow a radio at public establishment to play something he doesn't want to hear.
It was rather obvious from the moment Gaius seconded the motion to nominate a Vice President where that story was going. Callis made the entire journey a joyride.
It's easy to overlook the obvious. Why wasn't a succession of power already established? And, it doesn't necessarily entail a Vice President. And why would Zarek have an assassin already on board even before the vote? (Nothing more obvious than "You're the new Vice President" -- bang! -- "You're the new President").
BTW, it was nice to see something happen in that story on Caprica. Up to now, watching Grace Park was the only thing that kept that interesting.
