Title: Enterprise Cancellation - Good Or Bad

Matthew Matic - February 2, 2005 09:42 PM (GMT)
I've never used a messageboard like this one before, I've only ever experienced the BBC ones. So now I created a poll, just because I can. I hope you'll all excuse me for my first few days playing with things!

I can't decide. It's bad cos there will be no new trek next year :tear: But good cos they're finally giving B&B their marching orders

If they had only gotten rid of those two, then there might have been hope for the show.

Good.

Dislike it as you will, but it will finally put an end to Berman's tyrannical stranglehold over the franchise. And Boy Wonder will be on his way with him.

If for nothing else, that's a good news day.

:bag: Good

Best thing far as I'm concerned

Bad :fear:

Despite its flaws-it made good viewing.

I realised that I should have put a 'don't know' option in when I went to vote myself and realized that I didn't know!

You can go back and edit the post to put one in... :)

Good thing.

Season 4 so far has been on the whole very poor. Berman and everyone knew that Season 4 was Enterprise's last chance; the one chance they had to make something maazing out of Enterprise. They instead gave us a crap cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, leading into a story which turned a lot of people off. They then fell back on gimmicks (like Spiner/Soong) to keep the Trekkies happy, and took a big step backwards from the fairly successful arc-based Season 3.

With 'friends' like Berman and Braga, who needs enemies...

I think you will all know which way I voted!!!

BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!!!

yes it means we will finally got rid of those pair of T*****s but season 3 and 4 have been excellent and the actors etc do not deserve to be cancellled like this.

I only hope we dont have to wait as long as we did between TOS and NEXT GEN before the next series appears - if another one ever does and that is my BIGGEST fear!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you havent enjoyed this season Philip but in a way I have enjoyed it even more than the 3rd!!! I have found the stories to be interesting and the acting etc to be excellent.

Lol, Matthew!

I'd have gone down the don't know route, purely and simply cos I haven't yet seen season 4. Despite the negativity here, I'm still looking forward to it.

I voted 'good'. I really, really enjoyed season 3 and was hoping the gruesome twosome, and Manny Coto would learn from what they'd done right a year ago. Instead, the general consensus seems to be the show's gone backwards. I get the impression that the show's biggest supporter's feel that way too. If B, B and C couldn't build upon season 3, then they deserve to have the show cancelled from under them, however upsetting it is for the fans.

More comments on the proper closure thread, soon as I get the chance!

Take care,

Andrew (HM) :upside:

That's as good a reason to do something as I can think of.

Personally I'm going for 'good'. Enterprise had some good points but compared to how good it could have been it needed putting out of its misery.
