Title: Alias Season 4
Crichton Kicks - May 18, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
Aint It Cool News is reporting that there won't be any new episodes of Alias in 2004.
Expanding upon this The Futon Critic is summising that ABC may then allow the show an uninterupted run when it returns in midseason.
JJA's new show Lost will debut in the Autumn.
willowroolz - May 19, 2004 03:37 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure I understand this. It's coming back mid-season? Does that mean a reduced number of episodes in season 4 or will it be the full 22?
Crichton Kicks - May 19, 2004 03:45 PM (GMT)
They haven't mentioned the possibility of it being a reduced season. More likely is that it will still be the full 22, only no pre emptions this year.
Jae - May 19, 2004 06:58 PM (GMT)
As I understand it, the new seasons of Alias usual begin in September and finish in June. This means that often they have long gaps between each episode, so what they're doing now is starting the season in January and airing episodes week by week without any gaps.
Psycho Jack - May 20, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
Fraid not Jae.
I posted this on the other board too . . . but here it is again for you anyway:
Alias on Zap2It
TV Yank - June 5, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)

Ive been reading through what the Oracles have been saying, and that is that there will be 22 hours worth of Alias in 20 episodes, the premiere and the finale each being two hours long.
melian - August 10, 2004 03:45 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the update Kate :D
Flamingo - August 10, 2004 04:03 PM (GMT)

It is indeed.. but i've just signed up to Sd-1 and the OPR, so its kind of having a bad influence! Ive got to stop signing up for things!!!!!!!!!!
Margot C - August 10, 2004 07:50 PM (GMT)
I've been so good about spoilers so far. I've been so tempted by the Oracles threads but I havent even clicked once! Go me! Now just gotta keep this up until January...ohh, it's gonna be a long 5 months.
Kate, if you've joined SD-1, come post in the UK threads! They're very slow-moving and a small community, but everyone's really nice. That board is so huge that it's nice to have a little thread where we won't get spoiled.
Margot
Flamingo - August 11, 2004 06:31 AM (GMT)
The Oracles rock. I didnt think they would have anything yet cos I assumed filming hadnt started, but they had..
Will check out that thread Margot, though may take me a while to find it, Im hopeless!

Nick - December 20, 2004 02:20 PM (GMT)
I saw a trailer for this last week and it looked very exciting, although everyone in it seemed to be snogging everyone else.
It's a good thing I don't know who anyone is coz then I really could spoil it for you. :ermm: :)
Flamingo - December 20, 2004 02:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Ive just been reading a whole load of rants over the promo showing half the season's plotlines or something..
Its amazing that I havent read any spoilers for this for months... :)
Psycho Jack - January 5, 2005 11:37 AM (GMT)
Wow! I just realised, the new episode will air tonight in the US. That means downloads will be up very soon . . . .
I'm officially excited now. B)
EDIT - Is there enough of us to warrant a sub-forum, or should we just get threads with spoiler warnings going?

Michelle - January 5, 2005 01:39 PM (GMT)
And I'm back in the Alias mood from watching the start of S3 yesterday. I could end up getting quite confused though if I continue watching 2 seasons concurrently.

83% and 40 mins, but I'm gonna have to go to bed by the time it's finished. :tear:
Well, I may be able to sneak a look at the first 5 mins, but I definitely can't watch the whole hour and a half tonight. :( And neither can I tomorrow, cos I'm going straight out in Leicester with my colleagues. It, and Lost (which I'll start straight away when this is done) will have to wait til Saturday at some point. :(
Michelle - January 7, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
Hmph, it slowed right down, and its still 35 mins away (92%).
Persephone - January 7, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
Finished downloading but won't play back properly. The picture keeps juddering. Too tired now, have to look tomorrow for another codec pack :(
Psycho Jack - January 7, 2005 01:30 AM (GMT)
Lisa, I also had a codec problem. I just got a green screen with audio. I think my issue is MP9 was trying to look for the codecs but I wasn’t online . . . meah, I’ll get something for it tomorrow. I ended up watching Van Helsing instead.
It is casual Friday, so I might actually just watch Alias at uni tomorrow. It worked fine there. :innocent:
Michelle - January 7, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
Works for me! Just watched the teaser. Y'know, one of those nice 20 minute long teasers.
Good so far. They've changed the music and titles (not drastically though)! :o Must go to bed now and leave the rest til Saturday. :(

On the point of codecs and players, check out the BS player (type BS player into a google search and go to the first result - towards the bottom of the page in one of the news items you can d/l version 1.0). As long as you have XVid installed, the player should be fine for playback. It's better than the DivX Player.
Flamingo - January 7, 2005 06:02 PM (GMT)
Finally saw it this afternoon

I've already got BSplayer, I downloaded the Xvid codec works a treat now. Will watch as soon as the kids go to bed
