Title: Ra (spoiler?)

Matthew Matic - February 2, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
I'm new here so apologies if this has all been covered before. I've read on TV Tome that the next epsiode features Ra. I was under the impression that he was dead, does anyone know how he managed to survive a nuclear explosion and where he's been all this time?

Crichton Kicks - February 2, 2005 07:28 PM (GMT)
He didn't ;)

Oh Ra died alright

Spoilers below

But I've heard rumblings about the two part finale being..

An alternate reality time travel story to end them all

I've also seen screen shots of Jack and Daniel on a planet that looks suspiciously like Abidos........

You didn't read that here, right? :ph43r:

Moebius (1) - Very impressed (so far) - SG1 never seems to fail in delivering an interesting, engaging & watchable season finale, although it was a bit obvious they couldn’t get Jaye Davidson to reprise his role as Ra :)

Matthew - you're obviously an Anderson fan - should I admit that I can remember Fireball XL5 from first time around ?

Just watched Mobius(1) found it very enjoyable. :)

this is part one of the season finale which means season 8 is 2 episodes short

i feel ripped off, with the exception of season one all seasons have been 22 episodes long. i wonder what that will mean for the DVD boxsets. if the new one is a different size it won't look right on my shelf! :tear:

Well, to be fair, they had advertised S8 as being 20 episodes long from the start :)

However S8 will be the shortest - S1 did have 22 hours worth of episodes :)

Also the S8 set won't look that out of place - it'll nicely bookend the box sets since the S1 set only had 5 discs too :)

Although it's a moot point to me, since I'll be buying the individual sets as they come out (got £150 worth of pre-orders for SG-1 and Atlantis at Play! :)

And the good thing about the individual releases is that they'll fit nicely onto 5 sets now, rather than having six, the last of which only has 2 episodes but still the same price

Out of interest, am I the only person who looks at the title to this thread and thinks:

Ra, Ra Rasputin, Russia's greatest love machine?

No?

I'll get me coat...

I am now too, and I thank you. I think I'll put that song on while I write this. :phones:

I too enjoyed Moebius (1), at first I thought that it was going to turn into the kind of two-parter where they all get captured and have to escape. That kind of episode has been done so many times, over all sci-fi, I'm begining to get a bit bored of them now. Instead it turned out to be very different from what I expected to be quite an original episode.

jamiearmour - February 18, 2005 10:13 AM (GMT)
I enjoyed Moebius too  And I can't wait for the next part. Only downside is, once I've seen it, there'll be no more SG1 for months :tear: I'm not sure I can live with that idea :toomuchtv:

Of course there will be Enterprise :fear:

:lmao:

SkiBore - February 22, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
Moebius (2) – I’m a little disappointed with the sudden(ish) ending - I need to re-watch it I think – and of course if they now don’t have to go back in time who’s going to steal the ZPM and make the tape they found – Oh right, that was the other SG-1 that came from the other timeline, so how did their tape get into “our” timeline again ? Never mind, I think I need to re-watch it.

SkiBore - February 23, 2005 08:48 AM (GMT)
And . . . they should now have two puddle jumpers – the one that was captured by the Serpent Guards (and couldn’t be destroyed because timeline 2 SG-1 wouldn’t have been able to go back and set things straight) and the original one that now hasn’t been used to go back in time. :whistling:

those fiendish time bandits made the world a fishier place :shifty:
