I do have her current album though. I like it in a "laugh at all the songs" way. It's a fun album ;)

Surprised it took you that long after joining to post that Steven :)
Krazy - January 31, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
I'm not a big fan of her or anything but i think she's okay as far as singers go. :whistling:

You're entitled to your opinion but I think I'd have to disagree with you. I just don't like her music at all... (or her covers :p)
Morrish - February 2, 2005 03:34 PM (GMT)
Usually I don't like people doing covers, but Avril has never released a cover as a single or as an album track, so I think it's OK>
New single out soon...He Wasn't.
Phillip Culley - February 2, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
My mother always told me that if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all :)
Although to be fair I'd expect the same comments about the music I listen to :)
Michelle - February 2, 2005 11:33 PM (GMT)
I like most of her music, though I prefer her first album to her second.
Morrish - February 2, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I prefer the second album, it's much more mature and there is no bad song on it.
Although Complicated and Sk8er Boi just ROCK!

This song makes me laugh so much. It's great :D ;)

Why does it make you laugh?
Krazy - February 8, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
The first album is definatley better, my sister actually likes Avril's music and has both albums, grrr how annoying. I think i'd like Avril better if she sticks with her type of music instead of trying to be rock, sorry morrish.

For someone who likes Avril Lavigne you don't seem to have a very good picture of her for your Avatar. IMHO it makes her look a bit like a pig.
obnoxious brat - February 9, 2005 03:15 PM (GMT)
Ooooh... ! :jerry:
(Or maybe I'm just hoping for some conflict :innocent: )
I have to say I like her top in that picture, I think I have one like it. :o
Morrish - February 23, 2005 08:40 AM (GMT)
She looks great!
Shes on TOTP Saturday on...erm...Saturday.

I wouldn't go as far as that, but I'm pretty fond of Avril too. Don't worry if people mock you for it Tin. When it comes to music, none of us are that different. We all wear a uniform.

I have no real opinion about her music- it is not really aimed at me- but does anyone else think that she looks like the young SMG? (As we are on the culttvboards) Its all in the vaguely wonky nose. (not that a vaguely wonky nose is a bad thing. Quite the oppposite.)
Morrish - March 11, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
I don't think she looks anything like SMG. I love Avril's nose though.
Morrish - April 10, 2005 03:37 PM (GMT)
She charted at #23 with He Wasn't. Hmm.
Krazy - April 10, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
SMG and Avril do kind of have the same shaped nose :shifty:
He Wasn't is proberly the worst song recorded by Avril, no wonder it charted at 23. :whistling:

I think so too . Last night someone told one of my friends they looked like Avril Lavigne and she burst into tears! :o
Not really a fan of her music , but each to their own :)
Morrish - April 11, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
Burst into tears? But she's beautiful!
"I am my thoughts" - April 29, 2005 10:22 AM (GMT)
She was number 90 something in FHM's 100 most sexiest women recently

Just got back from Avril and it was amazing! Last time I saw her (actually last twice) she was awesome, but today, she ROCKED. Before she would sing well and stuff, but the actual performances were a bit lacking in movement or whatever, but today she was flinging herself around the stage, awcknowlging the audience a lot more, talking more, played drums, did a brilliant cover of American Idiot by Green Day, really really got into the mood, and she even said the f word! TWICE! How rude.
I think it was probably the atmosphere, she commented on how cool the stage is, and at Hammersmith Apollo, the audience is so much closer to the stage than the other places I saw her at, she could actually touch the outsreteched hands of fans and shes only tiny! Sadly, I wasn't at the front this time, although it was through choice, I decided to hang out by the bar at the back, and it was awesome, cos before I have been at the front and at the middle, so was good to get another perspective. The only annoying thing was near the end some twats got drunk and one shouted stuff like "get your tits out", which is stupid cos she doesnt really have any.
But yeah, she was fudgeing amazing. The support were fairly rubbishty, and I couldnt even remember the name of them,
(just looked it up - The Glitterati) but Avril was just amazing. I can't even believe the amount of expectation I had for Star Wars and Avril this week, but they both managed to excel my extremelty high expectations, which I am so happy about. George Lucas and Avril Lavigne get a big big thumbs up from me today.
I got two new tee shirts as well, refrained from getting the ridiculosuly girly one that says "he wasn't...i was" on the back, shame cos it had Avril slamming on her guitar on the front.

Avril's voice sounds like a fog horn when she sings live at a concert or whatever. :fear: :ph43r:
Steve is it?Anyway you're ears aren't damaged now are they?
