Title: Episode 4.05
Description: Welcome to Liberty Village

Psycho Jack - January 28, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
Quite an odd, yet interesting episode.

Apparently I totally missed Drew Goddard’s move to Alias . . . . :whistling: anywho, the script was pretty good. Not quite like the olden days of Buffy though.

Not too sure whether they’ll be enough for Greg and Nadia to do this season if they’re getting sidelined already, but I remain optimistic. Quite interested in this ‘sentinel’ thing. I smell an arc! :shifty:

Good nod to the Santa Barbra thing too.

Overall nothing much more to say apart from a good solid stand-alone.

Likewise, I thought it was an interesting if unspectacular episode. :D

Looking forward to more of Drew's contributions, assuming he has some in the pipeline....

From what Ive heard, the concept of this episode sounds pretty good, cept I wont get to see it for a couple o weeks so I have no idea why people think its a bit odd lol  :wox:

Duke_Leto - February 9, 2005 04:37 PM (GMT)
another enjoyable episode as usual. i would like to see the russian town/training camp in america, that would be fun :)

A little late but finally found some time for Alias

I really enjoyed it, not bad for Drew's first ep.

Kinda bizarre idea, but I love that kind of thing, so

It just goes to show car salespeople are evil

mmh the Sentinel piqued my interest too. Okay so no Irina, but maybe a couple of appearances by Isabella Rossellini wouldn't be that unrealistic ;)

I really liked the idea, but thought it could have been carried on for longer. I was beginning to think they might stay in Liberty Village for a few episodes and it would end up being quite a significant season arcy type thing. But I guess not. It was all wrapped up too quickly, it looked like they were building up to something bigger, but then they left.

The sentinel idea sounds quite good, and it was good to re-bring up all the Jack/Irina stuff - Marshall going on about how sweet Jack was and stuff! And aww to the picture of Marshall's kid stuck to the computer screen right at the corner of the shot.

Vaugn's proposal story was quite sweet, but did it remind anyone else of that episode of Friends where Ross & Rachel had to pretend to be married and when asked how he proposed Ross told the story of how he was going to do it? It was loads like that. Am I the only one that can't really see Sydney and Vaughn as a couple? I don't know why, but they just really don't w**k for me. I think it might be Vaughn's acting  :whistling:

I want more Weiss! But don't really want to see much of Nadia, to be honest, and it looks like from now on you won't be able to have one without the other!

I really liked this episode. The idea of a village where people are trained in the ways of American suburbia was creepy :fear:. And I like the idea of an Irina-based arc, what are Jack and Sloane up to <_<
Syd and Vaughn were good in this episode, and people needed to comment on how different they are to S2. Is part of this due to JG and MV breaking up before this was filmed? That's gotta be a bit awkward.
And Weiss and Nadia  but they need more to do.

Even more creepily, it actually was true during the Cold War. :fear:

Fantastic episode!!

Such good fun!

It really reminded of a book by Dean Koontz - The House if Thunder :D

Did really enjoy this episode. But they could of played on the Liberty Village thing for longer, thought at first it was going to be a two parter. Got wrapped up very quickly. I like Syd and Vaughn together and his story about how he proposed was very sweet.

Great fun

Strange coincidence that both 24 and Alias have had EMP plots in the past couple of weeks

A good, enjoyable episode imo.

I really liked the idea of the fake American suburb in Russia but I did feel they could of done more with and that the actual aim of getting access to the stock exchange was a little lame and disappointing.

I liked all the Syd and Vaughn stuff ( I still think they make a good couple ) plus the reference to Santa Barbara and I like Jack and Sloane having something on the go re. the Sentinal / Irina.

Decent start for Drew Goddard and I did wonder whether with Alias starting later this year if this episode was a little comment on Desperate Housewifes as they might of been writing this as the DH phenomenon began.

I can't really add much more, enjoyed the episode very much and loved the ongoing boring/cold joke :lmao: I liked the ending as well, very upbeat, funny, spontaneous and romantic

Welsh Ethan - April 27, 2005 03:08 PM (GMT)
very much reminded me of the TXF ep arcadia and also the alternate dimension that gunn was held in s5 angel

i liked it, esp the way that they kept being told they wer cold towards each other and the look on syd's face when vaughn began his story in the car dealership
