Title: Third X-Men In Works

Hugh Jackman, who will likely reprise the role of Wolverine in a proposed third X-Men movie, confirmed to SCI FI Wire that the sequel is in the works, but that the story has yet to be locked down. "I know they're in discussions about it," Jackman said in an interview while promoting his next movie, Van Helsing. "They're trying to work out schedules and things like that."
The last film in the Marvel Comics-based franchise, X2, ended with the death of Jean Grey and the hint of the comics' Dark Phoenix storyline, in which Grey transforms into a powerful and evil mutant. Will the third X-Men movie pick up that thread? "There's no script yet, so I'm not sure," Jackman said in reply.

Me too! And the way the second one finished with the shape of Phoenix under the water - they have to follow that up!!

I know, I came out of that film saying that they had totally set it up for Dark Phoenix to be in the next film. And the people I went with said "who's the Dark Phoenix?" Philistines!!!!

I think it's pretty obvious, at least it should be (to the writers) that they'll go down the Dark Phoenix saga route.
However, beyond that, isn't it about time we had a glimpse of the Sentinels ?? I know they were originally planned for X2, and the drawings for them look amazing, could we finally see them in X3 ??

I agree, I also hope they continue expanding on the Wolverine angle he has always been my favorite charachter. B)
