Have to admit, I love this episode.

With the story continuing after the XF have been officially shut, we see Mulder being worn down by the rigours of more mundane FBI w**k. Scully also appears to be settling in to a more mainstream arm of the agency. In fact Mulder and Scully's relationship appeared to be a little strained, especially with him blanking her in the corridor.

Fortunately, it was all a show :thumbsup:

The episode sees Mulder heading off to Puerto Rico with Scully not far behind. Mulder would appear to have another backer amongst the higher echelons as well.

The XF remain shut by the end of the episode, but nice to see CSM put in his place. Skinner proving that he's no one's lackey :)

All in all, an understated season opener, surprising given the subject matter of this episode, but a decent opener nonetheless IMO.
