S3 starts tonight/tomorrow morning at 12:20am - 1:05am

Am I the only one watching at a channel five pace? Oh well

I've just seen ep 10 Remnants. Aw, you gotta love Will  I loved his reaction when he saw Syd for the first time and later on his accent was brilliant! I can't believe a bigger deal wasn't made about Syd and Will sleeping together, up until the end of the ep neither of them really acknowledged it! BTW, why are they so worried about Will being discovered under witness protection? I mean, Sark seemed to find him easily enough

Finally, Lindsay's gone, I couldn't stand him! Loved it when Jack punched him, so un-Jack-like and no Lauren this ep

janey1003 - March 8, 2005 11:19 AM (GMT)
What kind of time is 12:20am - 1:05am!!! Its as bad as what they did with Nikita!! (OK - not that it matches Alias). I'm safely tucked up in bed by then on a w**k night!!!

Ghostmachine - March 8, 2005 09:25 PM (GMT)
Hey, at least it's ON!! For a while there it looked like us terrestrials weren't going to see S3. And me and my DVD recorder are mighty pleased we can.

Ghostmachine - March 16, 2005 01:01 AM (GMT)
I have to admit my jaw was hanging open at the shock revelation of the shooter in last night's episode. Always knew that girl was trouble!

I'm glad she's evil, now my hate for her's justified!

Laura - March 21, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
Where are Five up to now? I'm gonna try and catch it tonight. Of course this means squinting at the TV and trying to make out anything past the fuzzyness

TV Crazy - March 21, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
Five have just shown the ep where Syd finds out what happened to her in the past 2 years, i think its called Full Disclosure.

Ems :)

smellyphagor - March 28, 2005 11:41 AM (GMT)
One in the morning? Groan.

Ghostmachine - May 10, 2005 09:25 PM (GMT)
S3 got a lot of bad vibes from the fanbase in the States, and I can't for the life of imagine why. I'm lovin' it! Tonight's episode where Lauren was wavering as she was about to kill her father contained another of those Alias moments that leave me with the jaw just hanging off my face.

"I am my thoughts" - May 10, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
What time is Alias on Five? I hadn't realised it was on?

Ghostmachine - May 10, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Usually half 12 on a Monday night. (Or technically that should be Tuesday night, I suppose.)

Crappy time, but it's better than nothing.

"I am my thoughts" - May 10, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
Thanks. Though I might aswell wait for the dvd now <_<

Yeah, you might aswell, it's being released at the end of May.

smellyphagor - May 12, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Anyone know how many episodes are left on C5? I'm going on holiday at the start of June and I'm wondering what to record while I'm away.

little pixie - May 13, 2005 10:20 AM (GMT)
` Unveiled ` is on the 17th May - that`s ep. 17 out of 22. :)

smellyphagor - May 13, 2005 07:28 PM (GMT)
Ta. looks like I'm going to have to find room for it then.

endgame - June 14, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
Did anyone catch the finale on five last night? I thought it was ok, nowhere near as good as the S1 and S2 finales. I wonder what was on those papers that Sydney found. Tut tut Jack, what have you done now?!

Almost forgot, how many times has Vaughn been in hospital this season? Judging by the miraculous recovery he made last night it looks like he's been at faux Francie's magic Rimbaldi juice

I wondered that myself - I think it was three.

I`m surprised that the hospital didn`t name a ward after him. :whistling: Or at least provide him with a set of his very own jim-jams, with little guns on. :ph43r:

Laura - June 14, 2005 07:41 PM (GMT)
I missed the first five minutes because I was too engrossed in my book but have to agree that it wasn't as good as previous finales. To me it didn't feel like a finale, it didn't have the tension that I expect from them :ermm:

endgame - June 14, 2005 08:04 PM (GMT)
I know what you mean, it didn't seem like a finale. I thought it would have at least ended on a cliffhanger with Sloane and Nadia finding the sphere of life or something, but then again I guess it had to end on Sydney finding those papers. Not too sure about Nadia, she seemed too forgiving of Sloane. Was quite intrigued by what Lauren said though about it being no coincidence that Syd and Nadia were both agents and "we're both pawns in the same game", too bad she got shot and fell down that big hole  . Oh, and I thought the fight between Syd and Lauren was pretty tame compared to Syd -v- faux Francie in the S2 finale - that one was brutal.

re Vaughn - would it not be dangerous to fly with a collapsed lung?

You'd think so but this is TV  .

endgame - June 14, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
LOL! Yeah, I suppose it's no less believable than the MI:2 style masks sported by Lauren and Sydney or the "voice modulator" Syd had :ponder:

Ghostmachine - June 14, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
Dumb but fun. That's Alias all over. I agree, I was expecting some kickass fight between Syd and Lauren - after all, we've been waiting ALL season for that one - but it was good to see the blonde bitch cop it in the end!

Loved the opening, but I do think topping the S2 finale (especially it's closing moments) would be well nigh impossible. JG was looking mega-hot though.

So now comes the biggest mystery of all. When oh when will five put us out of our misery and give us S4?

Anyone know if they have the rights ?

nadia being as sneaky as sloane (oh i temper the information .... :ponder: is that even possible?)

ok so what did sydney find out now?

/can't they finish a season without cliffanger :ponder:

grrrarrrgh - June 15, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
I'm guessing if C5 do have the rights to S4 it will be some time before they air it - I think S4 just started airing on Sky.

The cliffhangers were not to bad for the first 2 Seasons, as I knew I had 2 and 3 to watch straight after, but not i'm sitting in a void waiting to see how long it takes before I can feast my eyes on it!!!

Bravo just showed episode 11, so it`s the halfway mark now. :)

smellyphagor - June 16, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
Jesus. Was that the finale? I feel like I have just wasted about 16 hours of my life deciding Alias is rubbish.

Love the masks! :(

Forgive me if I am missing something, but didn't Sydny find out she was an experiment ages ago?

I feel like such a fule for sticking with this program.

I really really had no idea that was the last in the series till I came on here

When on my hols I should have taped Soul Deep instead.

willowroolz - June 16, 2005 07:57 AM (GMT)
Only 16 hours? Try watching seasons 1 & 2, then. One poor season does not a bad series make ;)

Flamingo - June 16, 2005 08:14 AM (GMT)
And then there is season 4... where JJ redeems himself.

I wouldnt call Alias a waste of time If I hadnt seen s1 and 2 as per Steve mentioned above. ;)

little pixie - June 16, 2005 12:11 PM (GMT)
What Kate said. ;)

endgame - June 16, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
I'll fourth that - seasons 1 and 2 were flawless IMO. I think the problem with season 3 was that it didn't live up to expectations set by the first 2 seasons. I don't think season 3 was all that bad actually, just different. I like that it was set 2 years after the end of season 2 and that the viewers were in the same boat as Sydney trying to figure out what had happened to her, adjusting to Vaughn being married and accepting that Arvin Sloane was now a humanitarian (especially given that in seasons 1&2 everyone made such a deal of Sloane being very bad man).

One thing that bothers me was the explanation given in "Full Disclosure" for Syd's missing 2 years, I thought it was too simple and I hope they come back to it next season. I also think that they could have revealed Lauren as a baddie sooner. I actually really liked evil Lauren, and I liked the set up of good Vaughn and Sydney -v- bad Lauren and Sark (who actually had more chemistry than S&V IMO). As for the S3 finale, it lacked the :o OMG factor of the previous two finales, but I thought it set up future conflicts for season 4 very nicely.

Sorry to rant on, but that's my opinion of season 3 in a nutshell! :)

smellyphagor - June 16, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
I have seen s1 and 2. I dunno, I can't decide what I think of Alias. I still don't care about any of the characters (which is a problem after 3 series), but it does do action well.

But last night went from stupid (isn't the mask thing going to make future episodes a little difficult?) to underwhelming.

But i guess if c5 show s4 I'll be there.

Or maybe i have finally learnt my lesson.

(BTW the strenght of my reaction last night was partly down to the cold drinks I had taken earlier that evening.)
