Title: The Avengers.

Has anyone but me been keeping up with events in this book lately? It's f***in' amazing what a new writer can do for a series. Brian Michael Bendis, Marvels current Wunderkind, has crafted a story that flawlessly took the biggest team in the marvel universe to pieces and scattered more than a few of them to the wind. It could just have been a shoddily done publicity stunt, kind of, "Oh lets kill a few characters, that'll get the readership back up." But it wasn't. Bendis crafted it in such a way that no-one knew who was behind the whole thing until the big reveal. A masterpiece, and deserving of mention (If only 'cos they killed Thor!)

He died well, heroically. As a Norse God should. There he stood, with the remains of Asgard burning behind him, with his Brother Loki's head in his hand and Mjolnir in the other, facing down Fenris and "They who sit above in shadow It was to be Ragnarok, until Thor sacrificed himself for everything. (Course he also sacrificed Loki, but who cares about that  )

Yay, got all 6 issues on ebay for $23, translated to £12.13 by ebay's exchange rate. Should be here within the week. God, I could make some profit on them :D As I said, they've sold out everywhere over here and I've seen issue 85 (The final issue) selling for £10 on its own (rubbing hands with ferengi like glee)

I have a bid in for the final issue - if I win it will be my last purchase from ebay before I get rid of it.
