T'Pol will reportedly become involved in the search for a coveted religious relic in the final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise's Vulcan arc.

TrekToday sources today revealed the first plot details for "Kir'Shara", which is currently scheduled to air on Friday, December 3. The episode continues the story from "Awakening", in which T'Pol and Archer are captured by a Vulcan rebel group known as the Syrrannites and Archer receives a vision from Surak telling him that he is the only one who can stop the impending civil war (story).

The title of the episode refers to the Kir'Shara, a sacred Vulcan artifact from Surak's time recovered by the Syrrannites. T'Pol, whose mother T'Les is a member of the Syrrannite faction, becomes further embroiled in the civil war when she is captured by a group of soldiers sent by the Vulcan government. They demand T'Pol reveal the location of the Kir'Shara, but will she betray her mother's people?

"Kir'Shara" will reportedly feature appearances by two regular Enterprise guest actors. Gary Graham is set to reprise the role of Ambassador Soval, which he first played back in the pilot episode, "Broken Bow". He is also scheduled to appear in the first two Vulcan arc episodes, "The Forge" and "Awakening". Jeffrey Combs will also appear as the Andorian commander Shran, last seen in the season-three finale, "Zero Hour".

Finally got around to watching this.

A great ending to a wonderful arc and trilogy - one obviously written for the fans and as a fan I truely enjoyed it.

Well acted and directed throughout with a great storyline and for a change part 3 was equally as good as the rest.

Cannot wait for the season to continue after christmas.

Is it confirmed as after Christmas now?

I thought I read somewhere that 'Daedalus' was now going to be broadcast on the 17th...

And I will be catching up with this season (now I've got up to 4x08) - there have just been lots of things I'd rather watch first :)

I've saved the Vulcan trilogy for Christmas.

Trektoday have Daedalus airing on the 14th January.

I've always found the Vulcan thread to be one of the show's more compelling features, so you never know. However, we'll see ;)

So did you enjoy this or not?

A mixture of good and bad here.

On the one hand, I quite liked the Andorian element of the story, it's just a shame they had to keep on going back to the deadly dull Archer/Kir'Shara story.

However, one thing really annoyed me.

The mind-meld disease was supposed to be an analogy ot AIDS (which was why Fusion was broadcast during an AIDS awareness week). Suddenly, as it's become too difficult to resolve, it's all revealed as a government conspiracy. While this could make sense in the Trek universe, in the real world it seems a kick in the teeth to dismiss it as something you'd expect to see in an episode of The X-Files.

Also, it's a shame to see them hit a few Big Reset Buttons - suddenly T'Pol's not got the mind-meld disease, and now she's not married. I can understand the need to fix the mind-meld thing, given the proliferation of melding in future Trek, but was there any need to 'free up' T'Pol? (especially given what happens in the next episode)....

However, on the flip side, it was nice to see them try to resolve the Vulcans in Enterprise with the Vulcans in future Trek. Sadly it all seems a bit quick 'Oh, we've found the Kir'Shara - let's all be logical and friendly now...'
