Synopsis

When a group of loggers in the Washington State National Forest disappear in the same way that another group disappeared 50 years ago, Mulder and Scully go along to investigate and find themselves trapped in a cabin surrounded by flesh eating insects that only attack at night.

A contender with Squeeze and possibly Ice as the best standalone of the first season. IMO, this one wins it. A fantastic episode, that creates the perfect tone and atmosphere to play out it's story. Originally conceived as a bottle show where they take Mulder and Scully out into the woods, this comes across as a terrific story.

The performances from all concerned are above the average for the season, Mulder and Scully themselves, get plenty to do, and there's even a nice ecological message in there for you :lol:
