Synopsis

Mulder and Scully receive information from Deep Throat about a UFO that was shot down over Iraq and has been secretly transported to the US. However, Deep Throat then intentionally misleads the agents to prevent them from discovering the truth.

After a lengthy absense, a return to the UFO/Alien genre. And what a cracking return, this episode is simply classic XF. Mulder being sent on a wild goosechase, the until now rock steady trust in Deep Throat manipulated to continue the charade that bit longer, and a great finale to the episode itself. We learn more not only about Alien affairs on Earth, but also of the Government's apparent policy regarding them. There's also a little more background on Deep Throat himself, and an evolving of his relationship with both Mulder and Scully.
