If that's the pricing plan then I doubt I'll be getting them for a long time. I like Enterprise, but not that much.

Outtakes and deleted scenes will be highlights of the upcoming Star Trek: Enterprise DVDs when they are released in box sets later this year, according to one unofficial source.

The Digital Bits is reporting from an insider that the multi-disc collections of Enterprise episodes will feature rare unaired footage. The original series "blooper reel", a collection of outtakes and jokes on the part of the cast, were a highlight of Star Trek conventions for many years, but it was extremely rare to find outtakes from the later series before the release of the DVD sets.

The first set of Enterprise DVDs, currently scheduled to be released in May, will also reportedly include "Enterprise Secrets", which are probably similar to the "Red Shirt Diaries" Easter Eggs on the Original Series DVDs.

It is expected that Paramount will present Enterprise in anamorphic widescreen and with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. The series is produced in a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and the DVDs are expected to feature anamorphic widescreen presentation like those for Alias and The West Wing.

£85? Methinks someone is taking the pi$$

Crichton Kicks - January 15, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
I don't honestly think I'd pay half that price Tony. When you've got shows like The XF being released at £25 a season, Paramount can shove it.

£85????

Not even for S3!!!!

Paramount home entertainment need to get their collective arses in gear. They're pricing themselves right out of the market.

This is one of the things that annoys me when they state that d/l hurts their sales. Try pricing them better and see what happens. Idiots.

I've got all the episodes on d/l, so I won't be upgrading for that ridiculous price.

On current pricing, one season of Enterprise, or three seasons of SG1 ?? Hmmm.

Or 3 seasons of B5 and a tenner left over (at WHSmith prices) The math does not favour Paramount.

Just put it down to the Paramount 'milk the Fans for Every Penny They've Got' campaign.

Where the sun doesn't shine

By the time I've got my arse into gear and bought DS9 at less than half that price then the price may have come down to a realistic level :ermm:

I waited for the DS9 sets to come down as well. Eventually ended up snapping them all up at £44.99 each, which is about £40 savings per set.

I think £45 is pretty much about the most I'd pay for a season of Trek. Well, TOS/TNG or DS9 anyway
