Reports are that if Serenity does well at the box office, there could be a futher 2 movies, so yay!

Although there is a clause, no Firefly series for five years, don't you just hate the small print :(

Well, some Firefly is better than no Firefly at all! The thing that would concern me is that, if it's a box office flop, we'd end up with no more movies and no series either. I also wonder if Joss Whedon will be pressured into changing the movie to meet the studio's requirements.

I think the clause should only be effective, if the movie is a hit, at least that's what I'd hope.

I should think Joss will get full control over the movie, he has got a good rep with movies.

To be honest if Firefly becomes that popular and does that well, I'll be more than happy, series or not. We'd still have another couple of movies to look forward to as well as a potential series return at some point in the future.

Lets just hope the movie maintains the standard of characterisation set by the series as opposed to abandoning it in favour of spectacle.

I rewatched "Safe" a couple of nights back. Favourite quote:

Jayne (mimicking Simon): Dear Diary, today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Today, we were kidnapped by hill people, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever.

First come first served! :P

"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."

Or how about

"Sir, I think you have a problem with your brain being missing"

or even this,

"Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... this land.' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.' 'Hahaha. Mine is an evil laugh."

That bit makes me giggle everytime I see it!!!

Or

Jayne: "Ten percent of nothin' is...let me do the math here...nothin' into nothin'...carry the nothin'..."

Zoe: "Planet's coming up a mite fast."
Wash: "That's just cause I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all."
Mal: "Well, that happens, let me know."

Kaylee: "These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I-- how 'bout that!"
Mal: "Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable."
Kaylee: "Yes, sir, Captain Tight Pants."

Bandit: "And I think maybe you're gonna give me a little one-on-one time with the missus."
(Husband) Jayne: "Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature."
(Wife) Mal: "How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people?"
(Husband) Jayne: "If I could make you purtier, I would."
(Wife) Mal: "You are not the man I met a year ago."

Jayne: (wearing mum-made hat) "How's it sit? Pretty cunning,
don'tchya think?"
Kaylee: "I think it's the sweetest hat ever."
Book: "Makes a statement."
Jayne: "Yeah, yeah!"
Wash: "A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything."
Jayne: "Damn straight."

Or even.........

Inara: What did I tell you about barging into my shuttle?
Mal: That it was manly and impulsive?
Inara: Yes, exactly, only the exact phrase I used was "don't".

Book: If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of Hell, a level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

River: No power in the 'verse can stop me.

There are just so many wonderful quotes!!!!
