Title: Reading Emails
Description: enquiry
Timebubble - October 8, 2004 12:08 PM (GMT)
Quit a number of you have been kind enough to send me messages by using my personal email address. I wasn't quite expecting this, but there's no problem with you doing so.
1. Thank you to all those who took to the time to contact me.
2. How the *!*!*!*! do I get to see them?! It keeps telling me there's an error! Any advice gratefully received.
Good wishes, GS. (Timebubble)

When you receive an email from a board member to your email address through the cult board, you should just be able to read it the same as all other emails...the error message you are getting could possibly be your email service provider? Although Rob would probably be the best to answer your question :)

Thanks LoobiLou for your advice. I may well have to speak to someone else here.
Don't think it's my provider as I can open other emails ok. The email subject title from the Cult TV Boards is along the lines of, "You have a message and can read it by linking to this..."
I click on the link and it say there is an error becouse, "There is no such message."
Very strange.
People have been so friendly on this forum. I'd hate anyone to think I wasn't bothering to reply. So, until I get sorted out, pass it round: Timebubble isn't ignoring anyone, honest.
Many thanks and good wishes to all. GS.

Hey timebubble :)
Maybe other posters have sent you a personal message which you should be able to view by entering your inbox on this website. Whenever I get one of those I get sent an email saying the following:
Apologies if this is the wrong thing :)

I've checked the email logs and no emails have been sent to your address from the board. What Nick said is right, it's just an email notification to say that you've got a new pm. To switch of the pm email notifications just go to "My Controls" --> "Email Settings" and uncheck the box next to "Send a confirmation email when I receive a new personal message" :)
Sorry for the late reply ;)
