It looks like the Special Edition DVDs aren't stopping at the Original Series movies. The Generations SE will apparently see a Region 1 release towards the backend of this year, with a Region release a month or two after that.

Should be some pretty good extras to go on the disc(s) I would have thought, the skydiving scene should now be restored in some capacity.

surely they will take this chance to put back that scene if no other!!!

It's a cool scene, I'm sure it'll be included as one of the deleted scenes.
