Anyone seen this ??
Saw it myself last night on the recommendation of work colleagues. Not bad, not brilliant, but a truly creepy ending :(

I've always liked the idea of this movie but I think it could have been done better. It's kinda creepy the first time you see it but when you know what to expect it doesn't get you in the same way. I got my copy of Blair Witch from the bargain bin in Woolies for 50p (just thought I'd add that).

^^ I picked mine up for £5.99 in WHSmith.
I think it's a classic movie to have for when you have friends around. Scare the bejesus out of them for the trip home ;)

Not long after I first saw it, my neighbours cat got into my house, decided to fight with my cat in the middle of my room and it sounded like the screaming you hear in the film when they're in the woods. It scared the hell out of me!

^^ LOL
I did make extra sure that all the doors were locked last night I must admit. I didn't mind most of the film, it was just the ending which creeped me out.

It creeped the hell out of me too. Especially the end where they're facing the wall, and you just know why. Apparently it was filmed in a way to scare the hell out of the cast too. They were never given a script, just notes with a few directions on, they slept out there and the crew would put the stick things on them in the middle of the night, I think they all ended up in therapy after!
The second one is easier to watch, not scary at all, and very little plot, I wouldn't really recommend it.

I think it's a movie that's really a one-trick-pony. I read the synopsis for the second one and it didn't sound half as good.
Agree completely about the ending. As soon as Heather rounds the last corner into the room and you see the guy standing against the wall your mind races back to the throwaway line at the beginning and you click in as to what's happening a split second before the <thud>, creepy as hell. I can quite easily see why it seriously freaked so many people out. One of the girls at work who recommended it said that she couldn't sleep with any doors open in the house for the next few weeks after seeing the movie.
I tend to prefer the more psychological movies as aposed to the schlok horror ones. They're always infinitely more terrifying to me.

I went to the pics to see this and was left feeling extremely sick from all the dodgy camera work  Although the film itself is ok the sequel is beyond crap <_< But i have to agree, the ending with them facing the wall sends a shiver down my spine...

^^ I didn't really find anything else in the movie that disturbing. The night-time attacks, the frantic dash, none of it was that bad. This probably made the ending much more effective IMO. In what had been a moderately creepy movie, we get an ending that creeps me out right now just thinking about it.
The other half opted out of watching it so I was left watching it on my own downstairs about 11pm, the surround-sound option probably wasn't a good idea either :) I'll have to work on the missus and see if I can get her to watch it, to quote Draal from B5; it'll "give her the screaming willies" :)

I found it very claustrophobic, I know that doesn't make sense, cos it's filmed entirely outside, but I felt very closed in watching it, and couldn't wait for it to finish.
I like the Hole though, has anyone seen it?
