What is your favourite STAR TREK Novel and why?

The My Brother's Keeper trilogy; Republic, Constitution and Enterprise. They focus on the background to the friendship between Kirk and Gary Mitchell from the episode Where No Man Has Gone Before. They span Kirk's time at the Academy all the way through to the current TOS timeframe. They're a fantastic read.

The Final Reflection or The Wounded Sky. I thought that, of the early novels, they were the ones that best captured the characters and spirit of the series. I haven't read any for a long time, though.

None of them - to be honest when they felt the need to stretch each and every book into 'book one of two', and feel the need to only do relaunches and continuations (which are good, but sometimes it would be nice to see them release an old book set, say, during TNG S1)...

Overall I would have to say that my favourite one is
THE RETURN by William Shatner.
But a special mention has to go to the first 4 books of the NEW FRONTIER series as they are excellent as well.

Thats a hard one......
Can I pick more than one?
In no pirticular order....
The New Frontier - Because theyer fresh enjoyable action packed romantic fun books. I just wish Peter David would get his finger out his ass and get back to eritting more than just one a year!
ST:TNG- Federation - Because it was the first hard back copy I'd gotten of a Trek book and it was the first time I'd read a story with more than just the one crew in it, and again it was a good action packed generational story.
ST:TNG- Vedetta - Because again the first full novel that I'd read and again spanned more than just the TNG crew and expanded the The Borg and Doomsday Machine stories and tied them up really well.
ST: TNG- Encounter At Far Point - Just because it was the first Star Trek book I'd ever read and the first book that I'd read which was a noviliastion (Apart from InnerSpace, but half the pages were missing!)
And although not a Star Trek book as such but Star Trek Memories/Movie Memories just because it was fun to read and a good look from behind the scenes from an actors point of view of Trek.
Have I said too much?
