Title: The "best" Of Voyager
Description: ..according to the Canadians
Phillip Culley - September 5, 2004 04:56 PM (GMT)
So, in the same vein as before, we're getting a Voyager marathon, incorporating Caretaker, Endgame and the top 10 episodes of the viewers choice:
10: Death Wish
9: Resistance
8: Q2
7: The Disease
6: Resolutions
5: Message in a Bottle
3/4: Scorpion
1/2: Year of Hell
It's official - the Canadians are lunatics. Q2, The Disease and Resolutions are better than the likes of Deadlock, Living Witness and Timeless? Give me strength....

Have to agree with you there Phillip. Even as a non Voyager fan per se I can pick out better episodes than at least three of those on that list.
Nice to see Resistance on there though, that one's normally overlooked.

I'm just glad that "message in a bottle" made it on to the list. As a self confessed EMH fan I loved that episode (Odd using that term to define an ep of Voyager, it seems to sully my keyboard somehow   )

I like a few episodes but no I would say it is my least favourite of the series after rewatching some more Deep Space Nine.
NEXT GEN is and always will be my favourite followed closely by ENTERPRISE and then TOS.

Deep Space Nine will always be my favourite I think. The characterisation and sweeping arcs are second to none where Trek's concerned. IMO at least. After that it's rapidly getting to the point where TOS is my next preference. The endless Beeb repeats of TNG have done it no favours. Every time I see an episode now it inspires a groan of "not again !!" from me.
One thing is quite certain though, Voyager, is by far and away the weakest Star Trek there's been. The other four have all been good to differing degrees. Voyager, despite the odd decent episode was largely awful.

Thats where I have an advatage because I havent seen any of the recent beeb repeats. It is a long time since I saw any NEXT GEN so when I do see an episode it is refreshed for me and always seems excellent.

There's also the fact that TNG has dated pretty badly over recent years. In fact, with the current trend and fascination with retro, it could well be argued that TNG has dated worse than TOS.

Has it? I have to admit I havent noticed really?
Must try to get to watch more and more of it.
If only there were more hours in the day or I could survive on less sleep then I already do (haha)

The first few seasons have aged incredibly poorly. The later seasons aren't too bad, but those first two in particular.

What about "Someone To Watch Over Me"?
Personally I would also include "The Voyager Conspiracy" "One" "Hope & Fear" "Living Witness" "Tinker Tailor Doctor Spy" "Shattered" "The Barge Of The Dead" "Heros & Deamons" "Worst Case Senario"
