What do you think to having big avatars like on Filesoup? Something like 200x200? Everyone’s pictures would be a lot clearer, or we could just leave it as it is?

I’m not too bothered either way, just thought I’d give you all the option :)

Well, I like big avatars :)

On several boards I have an avatar of 250x350 :)

200’s just a rough number, it could be bigger? :)

I must say I do find 80x80 just a touch on the titchy side ;)

Maximum size :) If you’re using a picture which you have uploaded then it will stay that size. If you are linked to a pic that’s bigger than 200x200 then it will be resized :)

Personally, I would say stay smaller, cos I've already turned off viewing signatures, so its not quite as obtrusive and obvious when I'm at work. :)

What would be ideal is if we had an option to see large or small avatars on a personalised basis, but I bet it doesn't do that, does it?

It looks ok at the moment :) especially when you get a few big avatars in a row, although it looks a bit messy when the post chain goes from small avatar to big.

I'm not sure - when you had everyone with an 80x80 size avatar it looks nice and even; when (as this board shows) you have the option for people to choose their avatar size (up to a limit) you get people using different sizes, and it looks a bit of a mess :)

I’d say leave them at 100*100 Rob. Nice round figure!

It does seem messy doesn’t it. I’ve been told that anything above 150x150 and the board will stretch, but when I try to set it down to 150 it just stays at 200, I think I broke it :unsure:

I'm undecided. I use a board atm with large AVs and it is always looking untidy. It's mainly to do with the table lines not matching up as looking at the big pictures is great. It works there too as there are only a small amount of active users and the AVs are more or less themed to the board. Can we trial the large AVs for a few days?

Look at Kate's Av, it's big (133x200) and it doesn't mess with the table lines, we could go with those? I think it goes up to 150 without stretching so we'd have 150x200 avs

You could set it to 200 but request that av's should be no bigger than 150x200

I’ve set it to 150x200 but it hasn’t changed yet? So if it does throughout the day then that’s why. This way we get to have big avatars and keep the tidy table lines :)

It looks quite smart when there’s lots of 150x200 avs in a row, If problem persists with the size not going back down then we could just ask (make :shifty: ) members to have them set at 150x200 or lower :)
