So, onto this week's offering. After the slight disappointment of last week's installment I actually enjoyed this one a lot more. The gang are visiting a world whose tech level mirrors that of say 30s/40s Earth. The world is subject to periodical cullings by the Wraith and they've devoted their entire society to coming up with a viable defence. Despite their primitive tech, Beckett is quite surprised to find that they may actually have found such a defence.
The story itself has a decent moral plot at the heart of it, and whilst it was slightly derivative I enjoyed it.
There's also furthering in the arc of the captured POW Wraith, which comes through to a fairly logical conclusion, and bonus points for the un-Star Trek ending. Glad to see Beckett back after a few episode absense, here's hoping permanent regular status will be bestowed upon him next season.
Seven episodes in and the series seems to be picking up some momentum.
