For me this is the worst of the STAR TREK movies although it does have some of the best lines in the entire series.

Dont ask me why I think it is the worst I just came out of the cinema completely disapointed with me and the feelings have never changed.

Totally agree :)

The storyline just seemed generally weak to me, although there were some good bits in it - the Klingons on the Enterprise listening to the self destruct sequence springs to mind :D

Pretty much the only way to have made this movie worse still would have been if Kirk and Co had gone in search of God. Oh......

You know what makes TSFS even worse? The pink upholstery on the bridge of the science vessel. What the hell were they thinking?!! :fear:

I believe the confusion came about when the engineers were told that the primary function of the vessel was going to be cruising

Was it not the Lollipop ??

Although given the American penchant for naming their ships after people, perhaps it was the USS Camp Freddy

TSFS: Better than TFF and the original TMP and dare I say TVH?!!!!! :innocent:

It can I suppose seem plodding (Even though its the shortest Trek movie) and perhaps a bit boring, but it has it's great moments: Space doors closed, The Enterprise blowing up (To make it clear- It always brings a tear to this ole space dogs glass eye but it is done really well, concidering the time when it was made and the budget it was made on.), Kirks fight. It is also the first time we get to see more that just the Enterprise or a scaled down version of the Enterprise ( USS Reliant) in the shape of the Grisom. And also the Klingon Bird of Prey and Space Dock.

But ever since the DVD version of TMP it has lost some ground to it. Havent seen the DVD of TSFS as yet (hint hint) so Im not sure if there are any deleted sceans on the DVD version?

I've got TSFS SE, don't recall there being any deleted scenes, although there are plenty of extras, including a Nimoy commentary.

Far from being plodding one of my main complaints about the film is that it is over too quick!!!!

I got TWOK special edition and thought it was great. So when a friend asked what I wanted for my birthday a while back I mentioned TSFS SE. I said to them "Not the standard version - the special edition. The 2 disc version in the silver box!"

Come my birthday they gave me a silver box - the one with all nine movie dvds up to Insurrection. I couldn't believe it. They're the standard versions, but I'm not complaining!
