"The beryl firnament became ever more darkened with the ashen hues of twilight, and the auric celest was overwhelmed with the twinkling imprints of the great leaders of legend studded the indigo horizon. The aureate sod particles blew over as a gentle breeze caressed them. Some came to rest against the lean, waxen appendages of the Princess of the Sacred.
Jer auburn, radiant lamps swept the lunar topography. Her long, plumed whipcords caressed her alabaster flanks as her delicate appendages danced slightly across the sod in eagerness. Her tender, pallid haunches were unblemished, a sure sign that no suitor called this dazzling enchantress as his own. |
That is an example of a post using RPG language. I am sure you have all used something like it before, they are called 'synonyms'. If you were writing a story, you wouldn't just say 'the water was blue', you would say 'the water was azure coloured, reflecting the rays from the golden sun'.
As you continue to play RPG's, you gradually pick some of this language up, and begin to use it. If you want to teach yourself RPG language quickly, I suggest you teach yourself one word to subsitute each word, such as 'cran' for head, 'aud' for ear, and 'orb' for eye. However, please make sure you post has some content apart from RP language, as some people think that just because they use it, it makes them a better RPer. If you want a full list of the RPG alternatives, check out 'Still Need Help?', where I have posted a list of them.
