The young minx walked upon the desolute land without a destination. This was how the mare spent her days ever since the brute had left her, since he had torn her heart into pieces. Now she was spending her moments searching for them and trying to rebuild her heart. She was a maiden now, and should be with a mate that loved her. Not sulking about and mourning about one that certainly didn't mourn for her. He had ruined her life and the dark vixen within her yearned to ruin his. But the pride in her didn't want the bastard to know he had left her this way. So this is why the princess stood upon a barren hill, overlooking the cold empty land that was her home. Her uncle had returned to regain his title, something he had done without any objections. He had taken in a new queen and the last she had heard Queen Kasumi was making her way to the birthing lands to have the dark King's heir. Something the darks would surely rejoice later, but even that could not bring her happiness. Badra would probably hide away in some far cave or hill, waiting for the festives to be over. The princess had been hiding away from her family as well. It had been a couple weeks since she had seen her twin, even longer since she had seen her dam.
She knew they worried for her, but she also knew if she seeked comfort from them they would force her to move on. Perhaps give her away to some heir in hopes that another stallion could mend her heart. This was something she was not ready to do. Of course the young banshee did not want to spend her life alone as an old maid. But no one seemed right anymore, not since Aidan. Badra shivered slightly at the thought of his name. The warm wind softly brushed against her, swaying her mane and tail with the wind. The late summer sun was beginning to dim as night threatened the sky. Maybe she would stay the night here, it was so peaceful here. But peace often allowed her mind to wander and remember old memories. Perhaps one day her broken heart would just take away her breath for good. Then she would forevermore stand upon this hill overlooking an empty home.
Long lanky pillars carried the young regal brute across the rocky terrain. Orbs scanned the area for any creature that was a somewhat threat to him, he was in the mood for a fight. The three-beat gate slowed down to a halt. Nostrils flared, taking in the scents around. There seemed to be nothing around, except for one equine. A young vixen.
He smirked. The ebon colt move swiftly within the shadows of the forest, following the scent. He stopped at the edge of the forest near sunset. His gaze fell upon the flicka. She looked to be around his age, maybe a little younger. He moved from the cover of the shadows and out into the open, toward her. Of course, he wasn't supposed to be in these lands, but he was looking for a new home. Crown held high at a royal level, he moved to stop a few feet from her. He shifted his body and stood in perfect conformation.
" 'lo seductress."
Her eyes got a glazey look as the czarina continued to stare out into the distance. However, her thoughts were soon interrupted as a new scent drifted across the breeze. An unknown scent. Badra was unsure of what to do. Was she supposed to cry out and warn the King there was an intruder? But what if the intruder was simply looking for a home? Her harks pricked suddenly at the sound of approaching hoofbeats. Her angled cran turned swiftly in the direction of the newcomer. it was an obsidian stag. A small snort of warning was issued. Newcomer or not, unless he was of royal linage he was not allowed to come near her. Her gaze inspected the stranger, debating if she should trust him. Noting his cran level, she too raised her own above his. He was in her lands, therefore he was outranked. His words were heard but unanswered as she continued to ponder what to do.
"Stranger, what brings you to my uncle's lands?"
She answered simply, there was no friendliness or hositility in her tone. Her words warned the brujo that she indeed was royalty, just in case he was up to no good. She could really use that bruja, Purgatory, right now. The biggest minx in the lands, if not the biggets horse. She was not a force to be reckoned with. However, Badra was just an average vixen. Frail and had no chance against a male. Still, Badra decided to act with more confidence than she felt, with an air of authority. She would not trust the brute until given reason to, but niether would she shun a possible ally.
