Title: The Paint calls the Fire
Description: Neron and Crossfire

Courtney - June 23, 2006 12:12 PM (GMT)
Neron turned to her as she approached and saw her smile, but he turned away and continued to walk. Hearing her question he paused for a moment, dreambox returning to his meeting with the lead.
a stag called Zephyr
he said with no emotion. he did not care to get to know the stag, nor any other equine he had met while here, except perhaps the mare beside him.

Arabian - June 26, 2006 03:29 PM (GMT)
+|'he watched 'im carefully, not able to read 'is emotions as 'er dam 'ad done, 'he was annoyed by that but nothing more,

"So to this Zephyr ye would take no part in? No respect or liking be 'eld for 'im?"

'he taunted with a faint careful laugh that 'twas not brutal but soft and kind to 'im, for 'e was th' only thing 'he cared 'pon this terra.|+

Courtney - June 26, 2006 11:55 PM (GMT)
Neron turned to her at her words, he was quite taken aback by her sudden change of tones, but he welcomed then.
Zephyr, I hope him in high respects - he controls this terra. so my respect he has. But i care not to get to know him. I am not one to create a large group of companions. i am more preferring of the small intimate group.
He replied, looking towards CrossFire and smiling slightly. He had no desire to make close connections, except with her, especially in this time where war was eventual.

Arabian - July 4, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
+|'he watched 'im with a faint smirk on 'er features, one o' amused sarcasim which still did not 'old th' same intense solid disgust 'he 'ad 'eld before,

"A small intimate group eh? A group o' two perhaps. thee and another?"

'he inquired, as though this was a serious matter to be delt with instead o' th' determined laughter bubbling inside 'er.|+

Courtney - July 9, 2006 11:29 PM (GMT)
not catching her meaning the brute continued on.
No. three or four is usually a good company.
he said, stepping on. he walked for a moment, musing over his words.
But two's a good starting block.
he said, turning back to CrossFire.

Arabian - July 10, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
+|Sudden surprise took 'old o' 'er and 'he halted, 'er maw slightly parted for 'is reply 'ad seemed to 'ave broken what 'er feelings 'ad just told 'er, though when 'e quickly continued on to th' next 'er pools narrowed and 'he stepped onward, this time lagging 'hind 'er and cool chill reverberating o' 'er peltage. A fury o'ertook 'er and all thoughts o' th' handsome bull 'he 'ad been claimed by were nothing to 'er now, 'he parted 'er angered librims to answer,

"So I'm just th' start o' Neron's love life, eh?"

'he questioned, e'ery line o' 'er features raging 'gain, 'er temper lately 'ad been kept on th' surface, ready to boil at any moment, though deep in 'er 'eart 'he knew 'he loved 'im, yet 'he would not resolve to just being another fae.|+

Courtney - July 10, 2006 01:08 AM (GMT)
Neron, catching her words, spun around. suddenly understanding the meaning of the words he had muttered he snorted at himself angrily.
He stepped closer to CrossFire, eager to right himself.
Three, or four m'dear does not necessarily mean other faes. My deepest want it is there to be a few bantles amoung my company, along with only one fae.
He said, stepping closer to her, knowing his words sounded pathetic but wnated to assure her he was not the type to clain multiple femmes.

Arabian - July 10, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
+|'er cool orbs sneered at 'im 'as 'he raised 'er maw almost perpedicular to th' geo, straight apendages defiant, 'er sleek features seemingly quivering as 'he was tense,

"Yeah? And this fae shall be whom?"

'he inquired, as though 'he knew not whether it would be 'er, when 'he knew perfectly well it twas.|+

Courtney - July 10, 2006 01:23 AM (GMT)
Neron almost smiled.
Why, I would hope it to be you.
he said with a small whicker. he had decided not to beat around the bush, but be straight with her. he stepped closer to her and nuzzled her gently.

Arabian - July 10, 2006 05:55 PM (GMT)
+|'er disgust was evident 'pon 'er feature's when 'e nuzzled 'er, 'he left 'er facade where it was, not feeling 'is kind warmth 'pon 'er hue,

"Well thee'd better keep 'oping."

'he almost snarled, 'he stepped 'round 'im and let 'er flints sink through th' sand as 'he stepped with ease onward.|+

Courtney - July 11, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Neron snorted angrily and glared after CrossFire. If she wanted it the other way he would oblige that as well. With fury burning in him he moved after he, though he knew that deep in his heart it was wrong of him to bring such a thing up so soon after meeting her.

Arabian - July 11, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
+|'he 'eard 'is hoffbeats 'hind 'im enjoying their lulling sounds, 'he glanced 'hind 'er a menacing smirk 'pon 'er features. 'twas fun to anger 'im 'e took e'erything seriously. 'eh sly features weree evident as 'he continued on 'er way.|+

Courtney - July 11, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
Neron snorted, knowing it pleased her that she got under his skin. shaking his cran he trotted after her, making no attempt to catch her, willing to walk several body lenghts behind her. Sighed slightly he had not the energy to keep up with her wit and games. He trotted slowly, almost begging the sun to set faster so he could sleep.

Arabian - July 12, 2006 08:09 PM (GMT)
+|This time 'he did not glance 'hind 'er, but stepped slowly o'er th' golden sand, th' sun setting 'head o' 'er. 'he seemed to 'ave found solid land, for a hill erupted 'head o' 'er. 'he continued towards it sonars cupped as 'er flints clipped 'pon rock. 'er steps e'ened out as 'he made 'er way back down it to th' side, wandering 'round to it's front where a somewhat carved cave seemed to stil be standing safefully, 'he entered without thoughts o' fear, 'earing 'er own flints click 'pon th' unfamiliar ground, as 'he turned 'round th' sun seemed to set perfectly from 'er view, and admiring gaze fell 'pon 'er features as 'he lowered 'er somewhat exausted frame to th' soft ground and watch with weary oculars th' sun fall.|+

Courtney - July 12, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
Nero followed her, not even noticing the change in terra until he hear the echo of his own hooves. Raising his head slightly he snorted and saw CrossFire retreat into the cave, snorting slightly he stayed where he was. Watching the sun for a moment, he lowered his body against the warm rock and sighed. Tucking his pillars under him his lay his boa against the geo and closed his orbs.

Arabian - July 15, 2006 10:45 PM (GMT)
+|'he watched 'im closely through 'er narrowed oculars, for 'gainst th' dimmness o' th' cave and th' brightness o' th' sky outside, 'is image was difficult to see, yet 'er lyrics were quite clear,

Anger cannot last fore'er you know.

twas all 'he said as 'he placed 'er tiara down 'pon th' mossy cave floor, not directed intently to Neron, but somewhat to both o' them, their own meanings different and yet one to be p.ondered 'pon.|+

Courtney - July 16, 2006 10:08 PM (GMT)
(like your siggy)

Neron's auds pricked at her words. He raised his cran slightly off the sandy geo and looked towards the mouth of the cave. He knew no venom was in those words, just pure truth. He gave a small snort in agreement and watched the mouth for a moment before returning his cran to the geo.
A soft breeze licked around his pelt as the last rays of sun began to disappear from the almost ink blue sky. Picking up his tassels and banner the breeze pulled at them, its icy teeth cutting deep into his skin. But Neron only snorted slightly, pulling his pillars further under him and hugging closer to the rock, pride hindering him from seeking warmth in the depths of the cave.

Arabian - July 18, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
ooc- Thankies, your's is awesome too!

bic- (x|Th' fire's orbits remained open and watching th' sunset beyond th' cave, now almost hidden 'hind th' end o' th' geo it seemed, th' darkness in th' cave grew dimmer. As 'er oculars narrowed 'he sensed 'is coldness and longed to be lying 'side 'im, yet 'er instincts told 'er to give 'im time, after all if it 'ad not been for 'er stupidity, 'he would be there now, yet 'he was on th' baren floor by 'erself, enjoying th' sunset by 'erself with no love to 'er life 'cept perhaps th' growing truth o' two w'o tried to make things right. Maybe they weren't meant ti be like countless others, maybe they were th' pair that were to similiar and therefore could not deal with each other. Yet 'he 'ated to think o' such things, and for now twas 'is decision for 'he was waiting and 'he would be there as long as it took.|x)

Courtney - July 20, 2006 09:52 AM (GMT)
It twas only at the next dawn that Neron moved again. The rays of sun did not warm his hide, he was sheltered from them by the rocky form he leant against. But soon the air warmed enough for him to dare to raise his head. Opening his orbs he shook his cran, removing all sleep from them. Casting a look down to the cave, the niggles of regret built in his stomach. He knew he should have gone into her, but the past was gone. He could only live for today. Pushing his carcass to his feet he stood. Stiff bones creaked under him as he moved to the mouth of the cave. Giving a litte buck he loosened his muscles before stepping into the darkness.
Letting out a low whicker he called to see if CrossFire had woken yet, be bodice hidden from him but the lace of darkness.

Arabian - July 20, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
+|In th' midst o' th' night 'er sleep twas awakened by th' nightmare that erupted in 'er dream-box e'ery night, peltage darkened due to th' sweat that twas embedded in 'er spotted hue 'he threw 'er pistons forward and they clattered 'pon th' stone, 'he glanced to Neron to see if 'he 'ad awakened 'im yet 'e seemed to be at peace. As 'er flints pummeled th' stone they made soft noises 'oping 'he didn't wake 'im, as 'he reached th' sand on th' geo 'he exited th' cave at a walk, thinking, th' dream 'ad once 'gain been so real. 'he 'ad run through th' mist running and still reaching 'ead o' 'er searching.....yet 'he ne'er found. Th' mist sang to 'er, calling 'er alias o'er and o'er, yet in th' distance 'he saw a faint outline o' an equine, though 'is frame was indistinctable to 'er oculars. 'he called to it, yet as 'he seemed to get closer th' form faded 'way, and 'gain 'he was alone in th' mist, alone and 'elpless, th' instant 'er breath seemed to be 'arder 'he awoke in sweat,, fearful and seeking comfort, yet there ne'er was, e'ery nightmare was rseponded to with lonliness nothing e'er came to 'er. 'he continued 'til th' sun peeked o'er th' horizon which 'he turned making 'er way back to th' cave, from a distance 'he 'eard 'is cautious call to 'er into th' cave and 'he responded, yet from 'hind 'im as 'er live frame reached o'er th' sand dune and appeared, th' sun rising 'ind 'er and th' day o' dawn revising, today would be different, for 'he would make it so.|+

Courtney - July 21, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
Neron turned at her call from behind. Squinted in the bright morning sun and could only make out her frame. He smiled and trotted eagerly towards her. Reaching her on the dune he bobbed his head to her.
Did you not sleep well?
he asked kindly, wondering what had brought her from the cave so early.

Arabian - August 7, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
+|'pon seeing 'is swft pace returning to 'er, 'er dappled sonars pricked in intrest, making 'er way gently down th' dune 'he met 'im halfway, seeing 'is kind expressions to 'er a small smile released from 'er, for th' nightmare still chilled 'er blood and 'er apendages shaked gently from th' burden o' 'er pointless sleep,

Not in particular, an old nightmare still haunts my dreams.

'he answered gently with a slight sigh o' dispair,

But I imagine thee did for when I left ye didn't e'en move.

'he gave a full smile o' soft amusement, not o' 'im for during 'er pace 'he 'ad realized 'he adored 'im, for 'is strength and willingness to give 'er bratty actions a second chance.|+

Courtney - August 9, 2006 03:29 AM (GMT)
Neron nodded, a small flicker of a smile.
it has been many a night since i have slept with peace. This place and company offers me peace.

He replied, kindly, watching the sun rise slightly.

Arabian - August 10, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
+|'er tiara bobbed in response 'er banner wavering slightly as 'he did so. 'he felt th' warmth o' th' golden suns rays and siged in it's contentment,

I wish I could say th' same, although th' comapny [is most enjoyable.

'he said without a hint o' anything in 'er relaxed tones.|+

Courtney - August 11, 2006 12:06 PM (GMT)
Neron smiled, watching Crossfire for a moment. He refused to allow any thoughts of how she had accepted him, in fear that he would jinx everything and they would return to how they were before.

Arabian - August 15, 2006 08:50 PM (GMT)
+|'er oculars gently watched 'im intrestedly, this time when 'he looked at 'im 'he felt th' relaxation crossing 'er frame, and also 'er 'eart. Th' fae was at ease in 'is presence and felt as though 'he now truly accepted 'im, as though nothing 'ad 'appened, 'e 'ad not claimed 'er and 'he not 'im, they 'ad chosen to stay together, instead o' falling 'part, and that twas th' true bond. Glancing 'way from 'is 'andsome features 'he looked towards th' sun almost fully seen 'bove th' horizon and parted 'er librims to speak,

I would 'ave thought this lead, Zephyr, would appear 'fore too long, yet I am still wondering as to where 'e is.

'he let 'er orbits fall back 'pon Neron,

Could 'e 'ave left? I would 'ave thought a sufficiant reason would 'ave been given to explain 'is leave.

'he inquired, thoughtfully it came to 'er mind that a new equine to ones terra would not go unignored, 'he figured by now 'he would 'ave seen 'im, but what would 'appened if 'e should 'ave left?|+

Courtney - August 16, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
Neron nodded, the thought had not yet crossed his dreambox - he had been too preoccupied with this fae.
True it is strange that he has not shown himself. But there may be reasons that we do not know. But if he has left...
his voice trailed, refusing to let his dreambox consider what he would mean to him if Zephyr had indeed parted these lands.
If he had left, it would mean another stag would have to take his place
he said calmly, casting his orbs over the miles of dunes spread before him, a terra that had become his home in so short a time.

Arabian - August 19, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
+|As 'er gaze once more fell 'pon th' fully risen golden sun 'he took in all 'is lyrics silently 'ardly understand what 'e spoke,

Indeed, who would this stag be?

'he inquired gently, searching now for an intrinquet breakfast to search for, seeing nothing but th' sand 'e wondered truly this time, 'ow 'he would survive 'ere.|+

Courtney - August 19, 2006 11:23 PM (GMT)
Neron watched 'er for a moment, knowing who 'her meant. 'e cast his gaze around the terra once more and then back to 'er. Seeing 'er search for food 'e smiled.

I will challenge this terra, but first we shall find some food.

'e said with a slight nicker and trotted away from 'er down the dune in a direction they had not yet travelled. 'e stopped at the base and called for 'er to join 'im.

Arabian - August 20, 2006 09:30 PM (GMT)
+|Suddenly 'er orbits flickered 'gain 'pon 'im and wondered whether 'e 'ad read 'er mind for both things. 'he 'ad wondered if 'e would challenge th' terra or simply somehow inherit it, seeing as 'e was th' only stag remaining 'pon th' sod. Then 'is sudden lyrics o' food 'ad corrupted 'er thoughts o' 'im and now 'er appreciation was shown, a soft rumble echoed in 'er starving stomach, 'e let 'im trot a ways away 'fore returning to 'is side with a few steps o' 'er somewhat shorter stride and almost stumbling in th' thick sand that forced 'er to slow 'er sleek steps, finally lifting 'er knees high to a flamboyant two-beat 'he managed to meet 'im and 'alt as th' 'eat o' th' day began to linger 'pon their backs.|+

Courtney - August 21, 2006 06:03 AM (GMT)
Neron whickered to her before setting off at a canter, a pace with which he found easier to glid across the sand. He crossed several dunes, following a path he could see in his mind before halting at the base of one golden tower. It loomed high above the equine, who snorted before leaping up it, forcing his hooves deep into the grainy sod, pulling himself up then kicking out to gain higher leverage. With swift movements he made his way up the dune. Once at its peak, he turned and waited for her, wanting her to be with him before he ventured into the beauty of the other side of the dune.

Arabian - August 21, 2006 02:33 PM (GMT)
+|As Neron cantered forward 'he too atempted to do th' same, yet 'he was slowed by th' deep sand o' which grabbed at 'er flints and 'eld 'er back, 'he snorted in aggrivation and lurched onward trying to follow exactly 'ind 'is graceful easy steps. Panting heavily and th' sweat begining to darken 'er spotted peltage, 'he reached th' dun o' which 'e 'ad so magnificantly leapt onto would now be an extravagant feit for 'er weakened body. Breaths 'arder and 'arder 'he 'eard th' encouragement ecoeing in 'er tiara and once more lifted 'er knees higher til finally 'he was at it at a slick pace, 'fore 'er ;ind flints dug into th' golden sand and 'he lifted off into th' skies 'fore 'er front flints caught 'old o' th' sand atop o' 'er and 'he clung to it magnificantly as 'er hindquarters followed landing gracefully 'pon th' dune, now standing 'side Neron, sides darkened but slowly begining to ease back 'er breathing to th' careful prenouncment o' contempt.|+

Courtney - August 21, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
Neron nudged her gently, seeing that the sand was not as easy for her is it was for him. With a quick whicker, he turned his head and nodded down the dune. Not to the expected continuation of rolling sand, but to the lush oasis that extended below then.
The pool of clear, spring water relfected the shading palm trees. A grove of the huge trees provided ample shade and with the shade and water came the lush grass at their roots. With another nicker to her Neron nodded again, silently asking her if this would sufice for breakfast.

Arabian - September 18, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
.|.Th' belle was momentarily silenced put into aw by th' beauty now o' th' thoughtfully deadened terrain. Amberites glistening as they widened slightly, for 'er thoughts 'ad been this twas a dead terra with only th' sand and a most dear mate to be amused by. 'til 'he now wandered 'cross it with Neron, 'he halted 'bove th' dune, gazing o'er it into th' lushness o' th' "new" land.|.
.|.Forgetfully 'he seemed to startle as 'he returned to th' earth as 'e nickered to 'er, 'he bobbed 'er tiara in satisfaction and suddenly 'er 'eart filled with joy, without realizing who foolish 'he made 'erself appear, 'he leapt forward, almost sitting 'pon 'er haunches and slid down th' front o' th' dune, past Neron and into th' midst o' th' goodness, whirling 'erself, 'he danced 'pon 'er pillars nodding 'er cranium, allowing 'er spotted banner to flop 'pon 'er forehead and shield 'er mischievous oculars.|.

Courtney - September 24, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
the stag watched her, whickering slightly as she slid down the dune. Seeing her change in spirits he trotted after her, making his way towards the lush grass at the feet of the palm groves. Dropping his cran he began to graze - his hungry stomach thanking him for its feed

Arabian - October 2, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
It suddenly felt as though 'he were free 'gain, so with th' fleetness o' 'er flints 'he galloped 'round 'im heels kicking us in outrageous bucks as 'he did so, soaring with th' wind as 'er heart flew from 'er and beckoned th' sun to shine. 'round 'im 'he flew, gathering more and more speed 'til suddenly 'he slid to a stop 'side 'im, as though th' wind 'ad changed pace. Watching 'im gently 'he moved nearer to 'im and lowered 'er maw to snatch at th' geo, admiring th' contentness 'he felt as 'he stood close to 'im enjoying th' refreshing lack o' hunger that soon filled 'er stomache.

Courtney - February 16, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
he smiled as he watched her graze beside him and felt the warm of her bodice on his own. how things could change in a matter of days. with a smile he nuzzled her neck and licked lovelingly at her cheek. he could not be more content.
this was how it was meant to be. just the two of them and nothing and no one to get in their way.

Arabian - February 27, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
The vix raised her tiara slight away from the contentment of the grass below her, she closed her orbs against his warm lick and nuzzle, opening them to smile seductively at him, visionaries carefully admiring him through loving kindness. His sheer compassion echoed off of her frame and heart, warming both of them from the inside out. Minx took a few more snaps from the lush grass then raised her splashed cranium, stepping away in a her high stepping two-beat, she glanced over her shoulder at him, then tossed her tiara whinnying loudly behind her to Neron. She knew not of where she was going but now that her peace had been settled with Neron she desired to explore their new home with him. She didn't want to be alone and sought out his joyous company.

Courtney - March 1, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
the brujo snorted softly admiring her beauty and then trotted after her, not wanting to be left behind.
he whickered to her and within a few strides had come along side her.
he tugged playfully at her tassels and then loped ahead of her, his long strides taking his across this dunes with ease. The sand was beginning to warm under his flints, yet the heat of the day had not sunk in. He knew nothing of the ancestory of this land, nothing of its past inhabitants and there lives. Unlike the other lands, the sands erased all memories of what had come before, leaving the path clear for the new.
turning slighlty he cast his orbs over his mare and smiled, this was the new.
