Title: What Is Powerplaying?

"The horse jumped at the other stallion, biting his nape and piercing the skin with his sharp fangs. Noticing that he had made a huge cut in the stallions side, and blood was pouring from it, the steed jumped once more, biting the czars windpipe and crushing it, killing him instantly."

That is an example of powerplaying, or god-moding, as it is sometimes called. Powerplaying is where, during combat, you do not allow your horse to get hurt, for instance if the other person says they aimed a kick at your charrie, you say they dodged all of the attacks easily, which would be impossible for any mortal equine, and probably difficult for some of the Gods. Another example is when you post saying you have attacked the person, but dont give them any time to respond, and you post the damage that your atack has done, for instance killing them or breaking a leg. This is unfair, and against the rules of CD.

Obviously, nobody wants their charries to get hurt, and new players often find it difficult to understand why they cannot just dodge all the attacks and kill the other horse without giving them a chance. But powerplaying is totally unfair, and you just have to realise that your charries are not actually real, so if they die, you can just as easily make a new one. My charries are very close to me, and I hate it when anything bad happens to them, but sometimes I just have to accept that the opponent is stronger than me, and allow their attacks to hit my horse.

By all means you can attack your opponent, just dont post what the consequences of that attack were. So, instead of posting that you made a huge cut in the other horses side, you should post that you aimed for their side, hoping to create a large cut on the side of the horse.

Here is how you should have phrased the post at the beginning:

"The horse jumped at the other stallion, snapping savagely at his nape, and attempting to pierce the skin with his sharp fangs. Hoping to create a huge lacerationin the czars side, the steed jumped once more, hoping to bite the czars windpipe and crush it, his goal to kill the steed instantly."
