Candidate Contest:

Yes the contest was still in affect for the Hatchings. And as mentioned the day before Kenseth's clutch was when the contest came to a halt. To sum it all up, we needed candidates. We had many eggs that were laid on the sands and those eggs needed candidates that would be chosen. The contest was for everyone in the forum who wished to participate, advertising that our Weyr had eggs on the sands and candidates were needed. The requirements were that they had to registure with the Forum, make a character that was accepted. As well as play those characters actively. The last was that if you recruited anyone they, had to PERSONALLY PM me ((Luna)) That so and so recruited them. That was how things were kept track of. If you recruited anyone and they failed to mention this, it is sadly too late and so here are the members of the forum that have been notified by me that these were the ones to recruite our newest members.

NOTE: If you get more then the needed number for the color you can still pick any color down from that number. This is just letting you know what you are eligible to pick. If you get up to 10. And find you want for example 2 Greens or Blues, you can pick that as well. Or you want a Brown, with a Blue or Green. You may. But if you want a Gold or Bronze you can only have that color alone. The egg can go to ANY of your characters if you have more then one. Or you can even hold it till you want a certain character to have the flitt. It is your's to do whatever with.



Signatures & Icons:

I understand many of us are having fun with putting icons in our signatures that represent our Characters and other such. But there is a limit, and I hoped not to bring up this limit but it has gotten to the point that it is just a tad silly with what many have been putting and how they have been putting it.

The height the icons may reach is 200 pixels:


The width the signature is pretty obvious as long as it is not longer then the posting page it is fine. Such as you do not have a lower scroll bar to see what is put from left to right.

I know this must be a drag but I do not like scrolling so far down just to get past the signature icons. A post that is long I love, but seeing only icons is not pleasing.



Cbox:

At the moment the Cbox is having some difficulties and I am trying to figure out what it could possibly be since it just recently started to act this way. It may be the domain where the code came from. It may be my actual internet, who knows! But I am working on that and hoping to get it working.



Activity in the Weyr:

Guys, I know the Weyr has been "dead" but why is it that something must start it up? I know everyone is creative and not just shells with no ideas. This is an RPing forum, you can create little miniture RPs that let your character grow. Dragons take time to grow and time must pass before any Queens rise again to make clutches. Or even Greens for that matter. Sometimes it takes an RP months or longer before certain things happen to change a character. It just does not happen over night. So try and have fun, yes some events are being thought of to help move things a long. But you must not depend on the Admins to do this. That was not why we made this Weyr. This Weyr was made because our time is limited on many ocassions. Posting RPing was our logical choice on making our Weyr since Akalla and I have managed many Weyrs by our selves. This Weyr being our first joint Forum.

We do not expect everyoen to be on DAILY for life comes first before pleasure, many of us have school whether it be by law ((Grade school, Elementry, Middle school, or High school)) or by our own choosing ((College, Community, University, or Institute)). Many of us even have jobs, or a family to care for. Some of us are just trying to get by. And on ocassions, personal issues arise and must be dealt with.

But we would like activity, whenever it is possible. We love the members who have joined and the characters they have graced the Weyr with. Interact and have fun. I am trying to get all my characters known and that does take time since they are all of different personalities and people. If ever you want to interact with any of them just drop me a PM, I know I still need to work out the situation with Asha and R'thall. And T'leros and Tenya, but Oni, Akalla, and myself are currently busy with things at the moment, that is why we do not mind our characters on hault. But V'ron and Zeilana are still open and I will make an effort to keep them active. Expecially Zeilana, I have yet to truely play her.



Luna's update in her life for all to know:

Okay, on the note of activity. When we had our 36 eggs it was my Birthday weekend. And to be completely honest I did not expect my time to be that limited. I was expecting all my time to be dealt with on Friday as it was a weekend and my Birthday. But it seemed to linger from Thursday all the way up till Tuesday @_@ Once that was done not only did my Birthday come and pass but it was November and Macy's is hell at that time. Macy's was my current job at the time and my time was limited to the point that my schedule was like this.

Wake up at times ranging from 3am - 5am
Work 8 hours with constant buildup of stress from Management and Customers
Constantly on my feet with 30 minutes ((my lunch)) to rest
Coming home at 3pm-4pm tired and drained, blacking out on bed.
Napping from 2-4 hours. Which at that time I can not think and only want to spend time with Anoka.
Shower before bed, which leaves me awake for 2-3 hours before heading to bed and doing it all over.

I currently left Tuesday the 20th for our Managers were asking ridiculious demands on us, being my Grandmother and I. And what sucks is they do NOT allow overtime. It is not there to give or ask. Just straight NO. So they wouldn't even give us that. They wanted us to get to work at 3am on Friday for after Thanksgiving sale. Which for me I must wake at 2 am to get ready and my Grandmother to pick me up. But it sucks for my Grandmother who has a second job she does not get off from till 11 pm. So it was get off, drive to our side of town ((30-45mins depending on traffic)) So that is 12 am, shower then come get me that would be around 1am, then drive back to Macy's and get ready 1:30 am - 2 am. So she would not have gotten ANY sleep. So me and my Grandmother left.

Having left that ment I seriously! Needed to find another job, which I have been looking and filling out applications since then. Thanksgiving came and I know most of us were busy that time. Not to mention Anoka and I have been re arranging our two rooms to better suite the Sugar Gliders we will soon be bring home with us =3

To top it off personal issues arised and Akalla, Oni, and Jade know of them and have been WONDERFUL at helping me through them. Things have gotten much better. But it's at the sacrfice of little to no internet time. Please forgive me for being gone without warning. But these personal issues NEEDED to be dealt with before they got to a point nothing would fix it.

The glider cage comes some time Tomorrow or this week =D And hopefully money is good and by this Friday or the next I will be bring home two little girls! YES! Pictures will be posted and Anoka and I are still thinking of names. I hope to be active once more here on Crescent I seriously have missed everyone T_T I will also try to jump on MSN more for those who know or want to reach me. With that said the Updates on the Weyr will be posted shortly.

aww it's cool Luna *hug* sorry life seems to have been a little complicated for you as of late, mine has too, but mine has been mainly with school -_- I'll be glad when this term is over *sigh* hoping I pass most of my classes and I don't have to drop any of them

I hope you'll be back to RP with us soon *hug* and you're right I think we can all figure out ways to keep this place lively through building our characters and helping get used to their personalities and helping them to grow ^^

I haven't noticed anything wrong with the cbox, BUT I haven't really paid that much attention to it when I'm online, because either no one is here, there ARE people here but no one is chatting in it, OR I just don't have the time to check it

wish I could let ya know if it's just your comp or something going on with the cbox itself :(

I think my sig buttons are alright, I only plan on making two more to fill my last two slots and they'll be the same size as the 4 I have right now so I think they'll work and won't bump into another layer of buttons XD I hope not anyway lol

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having such a tough time, and I hope it works out for you. Problems with jobs/school are bad enough on their own, but to dump person problems on top? I admire your dedication to us to make an effort to be active, and I hope I can step up my part to make it worth it. Good luck finding a new job.

And if anybody is having problems with making all their buttons fit, I suggest the "banner" type ones; they're only about a quarter of the height limit, at most, and you'd be surprised how much information you can get in one.
