Title: Dancing in the Moonlight

Rhianna Almendarez - March 3, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
Rhianna slowly let her feet come to rest on the grass covered earth. She shook her hair out which was windblown at first from her flight over here. With an emotionless face, she set towards the Strigoi Estate, the beautiful mansion where a lot of the vampires of this city stayed or so she had heard. She was here to meet the master of the city and be officially granted entrance to Miami. With a deep sigh, she concentrated on washing away the emotions she had felt from this whole week concerning her now ex, deciding that she was going to start anew.

Darla Strigoi - March 9, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
Having been corresponding via letters with one miss Rhianna Almendarez, Darla was not surprised by the approaching energy of the young vampire. The moment Rhianna had set foot upon her territory Darla had known it, and so had casually followed the progress of her flight towards the Estate whilst dressing for the evening. A clinging midnight blue silk dress with a slight train behind her that shimmered with subtle silver threads so as to create the illusion of stars in the silk; matched with a silver and diamond choker that encased her entire throat in a band of silver was tonight's outfit, and Darla had just finished slipping into matching blue satin pumps when Rhianna landed on the lawns of the Estate.

Sending a ghost of power to the head of staff telling him to allow the vampire to enter the Estate, Darla made her way to her office and arrived there before Rhianna so that when the newcomer was shown into her office Darla was already seated in the high backed oak chair staring at the vampire with cool brown eyes.

Rhianna Almendarez - March 9, 2008 07:59 PM (GMT)
Rhianna slowly walked inside the huge sprawling estate, the house was absolutely beautiful from the what she could see. She could feel the master vampire's power, so strong, filling the house, Rhianna knew she was there somewhere.

She smiled at the head of Darla's staff as he pointed her in the direction of Darla's office. She was actually feeling excited at the moment to be meeting her in person. The feeling stuck with her as she entered the master vampire's office, smiling at Darla as she bowed, offering her neck or arm should the vampiress want it.

As a daughter of one very aristocratic vampire father, she had learned a thing or two about showing respect to those higher up and especially to the master vampires, having watched her dad do it for the master of their city back when she was a child.

"Miss Strigoi, it is a pleasure to finally meet you and to be here in your city." She spoke softly.

Darla Strigoi - March 9, 2008 08:14 PM (GMT)
Darla could not only sense but see Rhianna's excitement at the meeting, and a soft and slightly sadistic smile curved her lips as she gazed at the vampire. She had heard of Rhianna's adoptive parents; indeed it had been a matter of curiosity for many of the vampire world, and so it was both mildly amusing and irritating to have her neglect her title.

Darla stood and stalked over to Rhianna, her heels making no noise as she seemingly glided along effortlessly, until she could wrap slender fingers around the wrist of the vampire but rather than taking the wrist used that contact to pull Rhianna against her silk-clad body, lips going to Rhianna's throat and running along it with the barest hint of fang: a statement of slight displeasure. When she spoke her voice was slightly cold, and she stayed mere inches away from Rhianna, her aura of power swirling slightly like moving ice water.

"Greetings Rhianna, though you would do well to remember that I am Master here and you shall address me as such in future."

Rhianna Almendarez - March 9, 2008 08:33 PM (GMT)
Rhianna could have kicked herself for not remembering to address her as her title. She nodded her head, "My apologizes mistress, I will remember." She said softly as she watched the vampiress, wondering what she was going to do.

Darla Strigoi - March 9, 2008 08:38 PM (GMT)
Nodding as Rhianna apologised, Darla rather than standing her ground and making Rhianna move, turned her back on her and walked towards her desk once more. It was an indication that Darla found Rhianna no threat that even a blind man could have seen, and it was meant as such.

When she was seated once more, Darla extended a hand to indicate a chair Rhianna could sit in then steepled her fingers and stared at the younger woman over them.

"Tell me Rhianna, what brings you to my city?"

Rhianna Almendarez - March 10, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Rhianna sat down in the chair, crossing her legs and pulling her black skirt down so it didn't ride up so much on her thighs. She looked over at the master of the city and spoke, "I came here to your beautiful city to make a new life for myself here, to start over completely." She explained. "I must admit, it is a lot different here than over in England, I like it though, I don't have to hide who I am anymore like I used to back in my hometown."

Darla Strigoi - March 15, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
"It has been at least two centuries since last I visited England, but I have found that there have always been many differences between America and the British Isles irrespective of the passage of time."

Letting her eyes move over Rhianna, taking in her appearance as she sat in the chair, Darla took note of various parts of her posture that would need to be corrected and let her power move lightly over the other woman's body where her eyes lingered, a brush of a cool breeze that tracked where her eyes went, before they returned to Rhianna's. It would have been easy to roll Rhianna under her utter control, but she was almost pleased with the vampire's confidence in meeting her eyes. Pity it would have to be rectified before too long.

"Tell me, Rhianna, what is it you seek to flee? You speak of starting anew, and that indicates things in your past you wish to outrun."

Rhianna Almendarez - March 15, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
Rhianna replied smoothly, "Yes, things are or at least were a lot different here. Letting someone know what I am was a difference of life or death. My family and I went about trying to be as human as possible until the times changed and people became more accepting of vampires, mistress. From what I have heard from my family, not much has changed there for the most part. This is part of the reason why I left, wanted to start anew."

She took a deep breath and continued, "The other reason is my ex, a human whom betrayed me when we were set to be married. He has followed me wherever I go, seeking my forgiveness, another chance to be with me. I relocated to the US to get away from him mistress and have yet to see him since I moved though I would not be surprised if he were to show up at my doorstep one day."
