Personality description: Appearing as an incredibly shy girl at the Horseman, it's hard to believe Min-Hei used to have a rebellious streak to her. At the time, Min-Hei is a shy girl with a very low opinion of herself, not seeing herself as beautiful as the other women in the world.
Despite this, Min-Hei is an extremely caring person with a perception of emotions bordering on empathic. She thinks of others before she thinks of herself, a trait that came out more during her time with Drake. She is tenative and undecisive about certain things, but throws herself into projects given to her with extreme devotion to detail. When someone is kind to her, Min-Hei tries to make sure she pays them back somehow, even when there is no need. Selfless and giving, Min-Hei does not like to think others are putting themselves out for her sake.
Unfortunately, due to Min's young age and unexperienced love life, she has come to deeply care for men who didn't really deserve such a devoted heart.

History: Min-Hei was born in Moorebank to her Korean immigrant parents, Dak-Ho and Hea, the younger sister of Chin-Hwa. Her father was a successful banker while her mother worked as a housewife at home raising her two children. Min-Hei was a happy, well-adjusted child, always smiling, always talking, and intergrated well with her family. She was pressured, though, when she entered highschool. Min-Hei's family wanted her to succeed in school, they pressured her to make good grades and hardly allowed their daughter any kind of social life. Her brother, Chin-Hwa, had made it through highschool as valedictorian and had went on to be accepted into Harvard. Min-Hei wanted to have fun, be a teenager with friends and dating boys, so she started coming home less and less, opting to stay with friends or out on the streets instead of going home to her over-bearing parents.
When Min-Hei was seventeen, she was turned into a werehyena by Criss Masters on orders of Drake Grey. She was taken to Grey Industries and brainwashed by Drake and Annika Grey while Criss' torture was taking place. Min-Hei was made to believe that, as a lycan, she had no place in the world except by a vampire master's side. This was so absolute that when Drake Grey was killed during The Grey Night, Min-Hei was completely lost. Her last hope laid with her master's brother, Issac Grey. She sought the vampire out and agreed to become his servant, her love for Drake passing on to Issac, though the vampire did not recipricate...
Min-Hei ended up running away from Issac and coming to the Horseman, taking on the job of the club's librarian. With Phillip and Christina's help, Min-Hei is slowly beginning to come around as a person and to know that she can be somebody without a master. When Issac somehow used Drake's ability to call hyenas to being Min to him, the girl showed a flare of her old rebelliousness and told Issac that Drake was dead and that he, since she remained unmarked by him, had no power over her. Min-Hei returned to the Horseman, having developed a crush on the wereleopard Phillip, wanting to help the lycan turning his time of need.
It was after Phillip's mental breakdown that Min-Hei met Maximus Holtz. After spending some time with the man, she fell in love with him. A few months into the relationship, Becca came and told Max she wanted him to move to New York due to the murders going on around Moorebank. Max invited Min-Hei to come along and on a implusive move, the young hyena uprooted herself from her life in Moorebank and left with Max to New York City.
But Min-Hei and Max just couldn't find themselves compatable...Max disliked anything supernatural, and Min was a werehyena who just couldn't keep it from her boyfriend no matter how hard she tried. Eventually, both had to admit that there was no way for them to live forever together, and Max gave Min-Hei some money to start a new life of her own, saying that all she had to do was call and he'd be there for her. Min understood and left New York City, starting towards warmer climates of Florida.
Writing Sample: "Well, here we are..." Min-Hei took a deep breath, smiling as she stepped off the small passenger plane that had brought her to Miami, "A fresh, clean start..." The young female hyena smiled as she walked into the airport to gather her luggage. She had already made arrangements for a hotel room until she could find a cheap apartment to live in.
The air smelled so different than Moorebank or New York...it smelled cleaner...fresher...with the tang of salt on the breeze from the beaches. The sun felt so warm on her arms, not at all like the chill of her former homes. The warmer climate was also doing wonders for her hyena...the animal didn't feel so much like it was in an alien landscape...it felt more at home here than it ever did in Moorebank.
Min-Hei took another deep breath as she stepped out of the airport, bags in hand, and over to the taxi she had called from inside. The Asian girl loaded up her luggage and then climbed into the back seat of the car. She smiled brightly as the cab pulled out of the terminal and towards a brighter, cleaner, fresher world.
