Physical description: Katryn is rather plain in her appearance. Yes, she’s quite beautiful, but she doesn’t scream model or actress when she walks by. Her hair is long and falls to mid-way down her back, often worn in a long braid or wispy ponytail. Plastic glasses in a rather interesting shape are worn most of the time, except when she forgets of course, and boldly eye-lined eyes the color of clear blue skies stand out beautifully from beneath the frames. Her body is slender and somewhat curvaceous, rather petite for she stands at only 5’ 4”, and is a mere 116 lbs. Katie wears loose but comfortable clothing, most comfortable in sundresses and the like. Her figure is rather childish for her bosom is small as is her timid voice, but she is still an elegant figure.
Likes: Spring, summer, sunny days, rainy days, walking barefoot, quiet, candlelit dinners, candles in general, bubble baths, company
Dislikes: Gaudiness, flashy couples, materialistic people, war, greedy people, unstable relationships, broken promises
Fears: Losing those she loves most, losing her power, death with no after-life
Nervous habits: Occasionally when she’s most frightened or nervous, Kit will cause small buds to blossom in her palms and stroke the petals out of anxiety
Personality description: Katryn is in many ways, what people would consider a tree-hugger. She’s timid, cautious, patient, fair, and all around loving of anything and everything. She sees all species as equals and doesn’t hold grudges unless she’s given reason to. Her power is warm, like that of a sunny day wrapping itself around her body, and causes her to radiate from beneath the skin. Her smile is contagious and is frequently shared amongst people, though they don’t even quite know why they started smiling. Kat tends to make playful jokes, her laughter that of birdsong and her voice syrupy like freshly collected honey. She listens to what everyone has to say and will view the world through a set of objective eyes. Katryn believes life is the most precious gift that can be given to people, and will gladly revive a trampled flower, or pluck an ever-lasting flower for a depressed creature.
Take me home to meet mom and dad:Parents: Marcus Gaia & Katherine Bane [both within a coven that Marcus leads within her home town]

History: Katryn grew up at home with her parents and later younger sister in a modest abode in Hawaii. Father wanted to explore the world, and the next big destination was the beautiful rocky coasts of Hawaii. The family was content within their new home, and decided it was pleasant here and the perfect place to raise their two daughters. Katryn, who as a young girl played in the damp sand in the warm sun, loved the outdoors. Frequently running out despite mom and dad’s requests, she would disappear into the fading sun and her laughter and giggling could be heard for what seemed like miles. She’d climb the palm trees, pull down the ripest of coconuts, crack them open, and drink the sweet milk she found within. She’d come home with lilies braided into her hair and they’d last for days in the same vivid color they were when she plucked them- a phenomenon her family couldn’t quite understand.
It took time before the Gaia family realized that their eldest daughter was bestowed with the power of Mother Nature herself. The Goddess lived within Katryn and personally visited her with each moment she touched the earth. The family tried to explain these powers to Katryn, and even they were surprised with the ability of their daughter’s powers. It was discovered that she brought life- flowers, trees, grass, all gems of mother nature, but there was more. After her sister’s parrot died suddenly one evening, Katryn was sent to bury it in the yard. The bird was buried beneath the damp soil and the young woman then went to sleep. The next morning however, on the surface of the earth above the burial site of the parrot, a bright colored egg was wrapped in vines and nesting material. The egg soon hatched, another parrot of the same species and a striking if not identical appearance to the earlier, had come in its place.
Katryn was more than her family could have imagined- a flowering woman that soon redecorated her room in vines and flowers and had an everlasting supply of birdsong to lull her to sleep or wake her up in the morning. Nature seemed to love her- both flora and fauna, and it was disappointing to see her leave. Katryn however wanted to start a life of her own, despite the love she had for her family and homeland, and found her way to Miami, a similarly tropical land with plenty of sunshine and new faces. This is where she was now, constantly keeping in touch with Lily and her family, but starting her life anew.
Writing Sample: Bare feet trod across the sand, leaving imprints of her small feet as she went. The sun was out as it usually was around here, a cool breeze playing with her dark tresses as she moved. Gulls seemed to have an affinity for her, walking close by and following her tracks as she went. She got a few strange looks for the rats of the beach were following her closely, and she paid no mind, but it was normal for her. Humming a wordless melody to herself, Katryn bathed in the suns warmth, glasses sliding from her nose a bit as she glanced down at a bird that had bumped itself into her bare calf. Smiling, she extended a palm to the small creature and had it hesitantly run its beak against her forefinger. Stroking the creature with another fingertip, Kat returned to her full height and continued along the shore.
She was wearing rather simple clothing, a one-piece bathing suit underneath a wrap-around skirt and tube-top. Not paying anyone any mind, the woman’s course changed and feet stepped into the cool water without a moment’s hesitation. Laughing in a melody that sounded strangely like birdsong, the gulls waited for her at the shore, watching her as she moved through the waves as various fishes cleared their path for her and swam idly about her feet, tickling her toes as they went. Splashing through the water and skipping across the shallow depths parallel to the shore, she soon got out and fell to the sandy beach with laughter.
Falling back to the sand, her bright blue eyes peered from behind water-splashed lenses. Wiping them on her cotton shirt, she returned the frames to their perch atop her nose and closed her eyelids. The sun felt so amazing, just beating against her skin, and brought back memories of home. The various creatures that had followed her abandoned her now, though not without a parting peck or two and a few feathers that were now wrapped within a loose fist. This was her life. This was her paradise.
