Joss had managed to get everything in the shop cleaned up before she looked at her watch. Well it was 6 and she had about an hour to get to the place. Well this was going to be an interesting night. She shook her head as she hopped in her car and raced home, hopping in the shower and taking probably one of the fastest showers that she had ever taken. She shook her head as she turned on the radio to some rock station as she got ready. She was singing along with the words as she tossed on her
shirt and pants and wandered out the door.
Lucky for her, the pub wasn't too far away from her house and that just meant she could walk. She made her way to the pub and looked at her watch. Hell, she was early...ok so ten minutes wasn't that early, but it was still good. She leaned against one of the wall outside and waited. Waiting for Marcus was always an amusing thing. There were those that were lion and knew about her, and showed her respect, while other people just walked right in.
She had no idea how Marcus was going to react, but hell, she held up to her part of the deal. There was not a speck of grease on her...and it was sort of girly...so that was a good thing right?
Walking from his bathroom into the joined bedroom still dripping from the shower having not bothered with a towel, Marcus looked at the open wardrobe with its rows of black clothes and sighed unhappily. Damn that promising to not come in solid black thing. Oh well, if it meant Joss would be without grease and overalls it could be worth it....it had better be, or he was burning everthing that wasn't black in his collection.
Taking out black boxers as his little rebellion against the dress code he put them on the edge of the bed and they were soon joined by a pair of stonewashed denim jeans and a deep charcoal grey dress shirt with chevrons on the shoulders. Tilting his head, golden eyes narrowed slightly, he muttered under his breath that at least it could be worse and proceeded to dress now that he had dried in the warm air of the room.
5 minutes later he stood infront of the only mirror he owned and straightened his shirt, looking at his now brown eyes thanks to contacts with a soft sigh. He hated wearing the damn things but better than having people stop to stare at the lion-eyed big guy walking down the street, right before calling the cops or the nearest moron with a shotgun.
Grabbing his keys, cell and wallet he stowed them in various pockets so as to not disturb the line or the weight of his clothes and moved out of the Pride house to his hummer, pulling out of the drive and starting the 20 minute drive despite the fact that he would of preffered to walk. But, this way he would be slightly early.
Parking the car around the corner from the pub he almost looked past Joss as he saw her until her scent drifted to him and his pace slowed, head tilted with a curious expression. Bloody hell, she did actually clean up. And looked good when she did. Ah the sarcastic comments he could get out of this one, whilst evading her fists. Walking towards her his lion stirred slightly, their scent strengthening so that Joss would know he was there before he spoke to be polite, and he gave a big grin with a teasing hint to his voice, though it vanished to his normal tone after the first sentence.
"Joss you look.....clean? And very good, though I don't know about this whole lack of black thing."
Looking down at himself he spread his arms out to emphasise the shirt, his muscles moving beneath it enough to tighten it over his frame a little, and he plucked at the bottom of it with a 'meh' expression on his face.
"Joss you look.....clean? And very good, though I don't know about this whole lack of black thing."
She smiled as a familiar scent and voice caught her attention. She let out a light laugh and her lioness stirred within her, greeting his lion. She moved over towards him and touched the side of his face, their own way of greeting and respecting one another. She let out a small laugh as she held her arms out wide a moment and looked at him. He looked good in another color besides black...though she wasn't sure if grey should count as another color.
"Well thank you. I know it's amazing when there is no grease on me. See I have skin underneath all that grease. And I will admit, you look good in something that isn't black. Though I think if we managed to get you in a nice blue it would be interesting," She said with a light tone to her voice. She knew that asking him to go to a whole different color was like asking god to make the sky a neon orange color, but it was worth a shot.
"So, you want to head inside? Or are we just going to stand out here all night?"
As Joss' hand on his cheek Marcus half closed his eyes for a moment and rubbed his cheek against her palm briefly, his lion using the contact to rub against her lioness so they both had a proper and more friendly greeting between them. Her scent although slightly different due to the lack of engine grease on her skin was comforting and fresh over the even more comforting scent of lioness and his lion gave a soft purr though it did not escape Marcus.
Pulling back from the contact and arching an eyebrow with a blatant 'Yeah and pigs may fly' expression at the mention of wearing blue, Marcus grinned at Joss then laughed softly with a shrug.
"It is nice out here but I do remember the plan and point of coming to a bar is that you go inside at some point yeah. Well, seeing as you suggested this place you can lead on..ladies first and all."
He knew he was going to get a glare at the very least for that but it was worth it and so just grinned and held out an arm towards the door in a mock bow, motioning for her to lead on.
