oOc-Hope I’m allowed to post, I’m half sorted. > <
She got out of a taxi cab and paid her fare, watching as the driver was struggling to say something. He looked like he wanted to warn her but thought better of it. Glancing at the driver’s clock it struck: 8:03 PM, he was obviously late for dinner. She received her receipt and closed the door of the taxi. She didn’t have to struggle to find the entrance but she took her time entering the iron gate.
Next she stopped to get a whole view of the place. She closed her eyes and just stood there for a moment thinking. Next her eyes scanned the area to see who was out here. It seemed like she was alone for now. She moved on towards the hilly area and took a seat, leaning her back against the tree. She was staring at some grave, “Here Lies Sally Winchester” she muttered to herself as she again closed her eyes.
In exactly give or take a year she would be here...six feet under. She was terminally ill and the only thing that could save her was an operation to remove the tumor. But unfortunately for her, it was a non-operable brain tumor which would devour her in three months min, a year at most.
She opened her eyes as she watched the sun coming down; it was beautiful, simply beautiful. The sky was mixing with all sorts of colors like a paint canvas. She never had many talents and painting was not one of them. She did however have an excellent memory. She could recall nearly anything in a moments notice. For example, right now she was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black shirt that had white spots mixing to form a chameleon. Covering her black shirt was a blue jean jacket, and in her jacket were two handguns with enough silver ammo to kill five were animals. Why was she packing? She hated the supernatural! Hated was a serious understatement.
She wanted to reach out and touch the grave, she wanted to know what it would feel like...to die. She had never thought about her own death much, she had thought about others deaths...but her own? She was young, she used to be healthy so why should she have even had a plausible thought of her own death? But now she was forced to live every day as if it were her last. Her only problem was that she wasn’t doing that. She was just living how she normally lived with her mother, while her father was up in Missouri tending their home and his church. She and her mother had moved down here for the warmer weather with hopes it would help her live a wee bit longer.
Speaking of her mother she picked up her cell phone and dialed her mother. “Hi mom” she spoke knowing how worrisome her mother got, “I’ll be home later, you don’t have to wait up” she exclaimed as she closed her eyes and leaned against the tree as her mother scolded her like she was a young child. “I’m fine, just hanging out” she replied, leaving out the fact that she was hanging out in a cemetery plot. She hung up the phone after her mother had said goodbye and put it away in her pocket. She couldn’t help but wonder; would she be buried here in this very plot, or one in Missouri, St. Louis, her hometown?
Scarlet Morti - November 27, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
Scarlet huffed once as she watched the zombie she had just brought to life struggle with the million of questions the police were asking, layers were almost blocking her out of the way, as a woman lay on the floor her hand held to the sky in which no so long ago her dead husband was standing, having only moved a few feet the woman was still fixed on the spot, tears streaming down her eyes.
Scarlet turned her attention back to the zombie, Mr Cartler should she say, she smiled at her admiring work, he was almost perfectly alive and human except for the fact a large chunk of him was missing, Scarlet was even tempted at one point to look throw the hole, but she resisted.
“Will this be long?” Scarlet said her voice mingling with all of the others; she couldn’t get close enough to the centre to see the operation of the work, she had been called her to raise a zombie for a problem with their will and insurance of suicide or accident.
She listened to the harsh voice of Mr Cartler, “ It was a tragic accident” her repeated over and over again, their two kids were in the car not so far away, she wondered how terrible it must be for the wife to see an illusion of the life he can not continue, though he was standing in front of us today he would not be tomorrow, finally the police had gotten all the details, the layers all the information and medical helpers took the wife away from the grave as Scarlet thanked the man before she put him back to rest.
She gently put away her things into a black bag, she stuffed her jacket in to the bad took out her two guns and stuffed her knives in the many slits that outlined her outfit, she smiled as se examined the soft blade her dark hair blowing in the wind as she wondered what she would come across tonight, her split life, raising the dead as an Animator, and killing the undead as an Executioner, what a split life.
Sierra Claire - November 27, 2007 10:34 PM (GMT)
She closed her eyes trying as hard as she could to not loose it. If she was in public then she would never loose it, but alone in private was much harder. She could control herself most of the time in public, but in private she would loose it. She had to be a strong girl because that was the type of person she was. She licked her dry mouth licking and wetting her silver piercing that was plagued right in the side of her lip. She brushed herself off from the grass as she picked up her cell phone, it was time to go!
She dialed the 411 service, “Can I get the number to Miami’s Taxi service” she politely asked as she punched the digits in the phone. She waited patiently for a dispatcher to pick up the phone, “Yes can I get a taxi sent to” she stated as she trailed off, forgetting the name of the cemetery “...auh, Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery” she replied as she waited for an answer from the dispatcher. She began to look at her fingernails; they were painted a bright pink color though since her nails had grown the paint had rubbed off. She needed another coat.
“Hello, are you there”? She asked sweetly. She stopped in disbelief when the dispatcher told her that they were now closed and they couldn’t send anyone. “What do you mean you’re fucking closed” she replied. “It’s 8 freaking PM. Send someone NOW” she demanded. She listened as the dispatcher remained calm and cool, not resorting to her language but informed her that they couldn’t send someone to the cemetery. The line went dead. “Bitch” she muttered as she pressed the redial button. It took only a moment but the voice on the phone said, ‘I’m sorry you can not call this number. Have a great day’.
“What...what the fuck” she muttered completely pissed. Why couldn’t they send a freaking taxi to her? What was the big deal about this place? She was debating on whether or not to call home and have her mother pick her up, but to have her mother see her in a cemetery would only worry her. She knew that her mother prayed to God every night and cried herself to sleep. It was soft hushed sounds that she would only hear when she placed her head against her mother’s doorway. She didn’t want another reason to make her mother cry.
She wouldn’t do that to her mother, she might do it to her father but never to her mother. Her mother right now was the only person that cared for her. Sure she had had friends, but as soon as they found out she was dying...let’s just say that they drifted apart. Because why spend time with someone dying when you can spend time with someone...not dying?
She lifted her head up and looked down the side of a hill, police were everywhere. What’s going on? They seemed to be clearing out so a murder hadn’t happened on cemetery grounds...or had it? She hadn’t looked and seen this section of the cemetery before, perhaps since it looked so much like the other part of the grounds...exactly the same. This brought her to thinking...when she died...would police think it was a murder, or would they guess her for a suicide before it was found out that she died from a brain tumor? Oh well, I’ll never know...No point in worrying over it, as she started down the hill. She doubted one of the officers would give her a ride home....
Scarlet Morti - November 28, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
Scarlet looked up at the moon, judging by the sky she guessed it was around 8, she had finished earlier than she hoped, lucky for her she hadn’t had that much of a long shift, just the few difficult clients, she smiled slightly at the soft breeze that hit her face, turning her hair around her shoulders in a cape of small curls.
She started walking taking a bush that lead to the side of the hill her senses full alert as she set of to see what she would come across, she moved throw the bushes silently, her footsteps keeping in tune with her pulse.
She felt a presence run along her spine she turned to keep an eye behind her when she walked out onto the hill bumping into someone Scarlet switched around so fast it was unable to see she had the dagger positioned behind her back as she looked at the woman, as her own undead animator power she could sense vampires and she knew for sure the one in front of her was not. So she kept her dagger hidden but still out just in extreme cases, if worse came she could raise her again 3 days later she thought jokingly.
“Sorry” she said her voice almost a whisper
Sierra Claire - November 28, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
She had been so busy watching the police and wondering what they were doing in the cemetery at this time that she had lost sense of her concentration. Specifically her ears, she must have heard the noises but she couldn’t register what exactly they were. “Jesus” she spat out as she was blindsided from behind. It took all her balance to keep herself from toppling over but waggling over made her seem like a clumsy fool. “Oi” she squeaked regaining her cool as she looked over the person for the cause of bumping into her.
It was a pretty girl who looked young, but a few years older than herself. Her hair color was unknown to her but it looked orange-ish to her. But who could tell someone’s original color these days? Not with dyes and bleach. She was tall a bit taller than herself, long legs and arms...? She was hiding her arms behind her back...making her a tad bit curious as to what was behind them. A gun or something? If she was going to be mugged her mother would be very disappointed in her.
“It’s alright” she replied sweetly though nothing about her on the inside was sweet! This girl seemed shy; she had barely spoken an apology. “What are you doing here”? She asked as she batted her eyelids. She was underestimating this girl because she was so shy, so innocent unlike herself. If a man had bumped into her, she’d slyly go for her weapon. She liked her hands on her weapon but you really couldn’t pull a weapon on someone unless you meant to kill them. And to murder humans? Never. Wereanimals? Yes.
oOc-I was thinking perhaps they could become friends since Sierra hates were things, vampires and you are in fact an Executioner.
Scarlet Morti - November 30, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
Scarlet looked at the girl taking her in, she felt no power, she did not know if the woman might be a vampire that could hold against all power auras, but whichever it was scarlet kept her distant she moved back a step getting full view of her surroundings adjusting her arm in a killer position that would take 2-3 seconds to bring the dagger up into anything that cam near.
She made out a small bush close by; she kept everything in site as she diverted her attention slowly to the woman in front.
“ I’m with the Police” which was half true, saying she was an executioner wasn’t really the welcome wagon to a cuddly pillow fight, more likely she would get shot.
“And you? Places aren’t as safe as you might think at this time” she hopped the woman didn’t ask for her badge, she knew herself in the woman’s position would check the id and badge 3 times before going a step closer, but her badge was licensed executioner, this person might even be a human servant.
Damn this world everything is poison ivy
ooc : i agree no probleme
Sierra Claire - November 30, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)
oOc-Great
“The police?” She questioned as the distractedly turned her head to look. The police were leaving and they were all wearing vests with ‘Police’ on the back, uniforms or something. This woman didn’t look like a police officer. She turned her head back to the woman. If she was a man, never would she have turned away from her. But she looked harmless.... “They seem to be leaving” she replied trailing off. “Do you mind if I ask you what you do with the police?”
She kept her hands in front of her while the woman’s hands were still behind her. Was she really packing a weapon? Shit! But if she was police then she would need to show the weapon. She didn’t seem police. Wouldn’t an officer had said ‘freeze police’ and then drew their weapon? She drew her weapon, still didn’t show it, and then announced herself as police.
“I’ll be dead soon” she cheerily spoke in a fake sort of way. “So you shouldn’t worry about me”. What she said perhaps would fool someone into thinking she was a vampire or vampire wanna-be. No one would grasp the context that she was unwillingly going to die...because of a terminal illness. She could either talk about it very happily or very tearfully, she choose happily; she couldn’t do a middle mix of emotions when it came to her yet. But the only thing she did was make this woman more wary of her. She just screwed herself. “I was...” she trailed off, brain rattling as she looked for an excuse to change the topic. She turned her head and gave a fake cough as she went on. “Visiting my aunt...she always loved roses” she trailed off. She had said her aunt loved roses, not that she had given her some.
Scarlet Morti - December 1, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
Scarlet stepped back slightly, what a weird woman, she thought a frown creasing over her head as her face gave a confused complexion. Scarlet wondered weather to tell the woman she was an Executioner, she hopped the girl wouldn’t be afraid, and so she drew her hands away from her back, revealing a large cross, almost the size of her forearm, that from the end was a thin silver dagger, runes and names were graved over the blade, she spun it once, twisting the cross so that the dagger shot back into the cross and she hooked it on her belt.
“ Scarlet Morti, Executioner” she said holding out her hand and flipping her badge open, the way she demanded entry into certain restricted sites with the police.
“ What you just saw was one of my raisings, I’m a part time animator” wow its like parents day, chat out your whole life story and hope you don’t get shot! she smiled slightly, the frown slowly disappearing.
“ Well would you like a ride home? Once I have scanned the area…” her voice trailing off slightly as she remembered why she was still here at this time.
Sierra Claire - December 1, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
She scared the woman, she knew she did. What did this woman do that put her so on guard? She herself looked like a very innocent young girl and thought that she gave no one a reason to worry. She supposed she couldn’t fool everyone. She watched as the woman placed her hands in front of her, every alert she ever had was going off in her mind. It said to grab her own weapon and protect herself, but true force remained her to act calm and still. Her eyes fluttered to the thing in the woman’s hand, a large cross with what looked like jewels embedded into it. Her eyes never stopped looking at the cross as it was spun and the piercing weapon folded into the cross. Neat.
She took Scarlet’s hand as she introduced herself, eyes gleaming at her badge. A real life Executioner, that was double neat. “Sierra Claire” she introduced herself taking her hand and shaking it. She had seriously a thousand...no two thousand questions for her. An Executioner, that is what she wanted to grow up to be! “I’ve always admired Executioners” she replied, and that was the truth. “I mean” she stumbled, “what you guys do...and how you do it. Amazing. Brilliant” she found herself babbling. The only thing that frustrated her was she had no clue how to become one, no one would really say how. And now, she could never become one. She would have been great....
“Animator...so you like can raise the dead and stuff’ she questioned? She had no beef against animators, though she thought it would be a creepy power. She disliked dead things and zombies.... they would pretty much gross her out since they were a dead body. Not dislike in a way she hated were things and vampires but just in a disgusting manner. “Yeah sure, a ride would be great...for some reason, no cabs want to come out here” she trailed off, hoping Scarlet could fill her in about cemeteries and why cabs didn’t want to drive here.
Scarlet Morti - December 1, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Scarlet grinned slightly, “ nice to meet you then Sierra” she said as she had seen the gentle movement and flicker of the fingers, She was hiding a weapon on her, not that it was easy to notice but that was the first thing Scarlet looked out for when being in certain situations.
Scarlet’s grin widened, first time she was being admired for killing, since now a vampire was almost judged as a human, people found her job cold hearted, and that a vampire should be sent to jail like a human, I mean what idiot would think metal bars 3 inches thick would hold a vampire, she shook her head slightly.
“well thank you, but it isn’t all that good, most of the time I’m doing the master vampires bidding” she saw a frown crease over the woman’s face, “ Yes most police are owned and controlled by the master vampire, so if there is a vampire out of line the police send out an executioner…” her dream was to kill a master vampire, though they were very powerful, so Scarlet highly doubted she would live past the fight, but everyone needed a dream !
“ yes I can take you home, as long as you wouldn’t mind, hanging with me for a while in the cemetery while I do my night scan” she said grinning as she adjusted her belt slightly, if someone was to look carefully they would see 6 daggers 3 guns one sword and her cross on her, she was just a walking weapon.
“ yes cabs and others don’t come near the cemetery after dark, its Animators and Vampires joint at night, always crawling” she said shrugging as if it wasn’t a big deal, “ Yes I raise the dead for Wills and insurance, its quite fun, but don’t get me wrong I’m professional anything I raise always looks human, its what gives me the extra shiny penny” she said grinning slightly
Sierra Claire - December 1, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
She nodded as she watched Scarlet grin. It seemed as if a whole ‘nother personality had taken over the girl. Before she was sweet, innocent but unyielding and ready to strike and now she was cocky, proud. She was an interesting person, that she was. She tried to think about herself she looked sweet on the outside, but Scarlet seemed genuinely sweet on the inside. She was jealous; she was doing the one thing Sierra had most wanted to do. Kill legally.
She frowned when she said that the police were owned by the master vampire. It was such a shame to hear that! “So you never” she replied trailing off, hoping she would understand her meaning. She meant had she ever killed without a warrant before. Sierra had killed a good two hundred or so vampires without a warrant before. They were just people no one would miss; she had no MO except that they were the living un-dead. She had no connections to any hate groups...so no one ever came close to talking to her about the recent murders. “Sorry that’s none of my business. I wouldn’t want a fellow human to get in trouble, you’d better not say” she joked lightly trying to seem friendlier. How she said it before seemed so cold, it seemed to say she’d done it before and was looking for a person of similar trade.
“No problem. I’m not going anywhere. What’s a night scan” she questioned? She was an animator right...so did that mean she had some unworldly powers besides raising the dead? She was sure when you raised the dead you had to have some sort of ritual with a killing of an animal or something. So barbaric but she didn’t mind as long as they weren’t bunnies.
“Oh I see. I feel stupid I didn’t just guess it” she remarked... “I just assumed with those things being legal and all” she trailed off yet again, wondering if she would notice how she referred to vampires as ‘those things’. What was she doing? She was almost subconsciously looking for a partner in crime, someone in which she could talk about her last days with about bloody kills and such. “That’s good. I suppose ya know with all those zombie movies out there...they really creep out people” she said again, referring to ‘they’ this time as zombies.
Scarlet Morti - December 1, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Scarlet face drew a small frown, wondering if she could trust the person, she felt no energy off of the person, nothing bad seemed to alert her sense’s, she seemed she had nothing to lose.
“ I kill which ever vampire I find, as long as such doesn’t revolt to me being put away, I have a way with words and money that can get me out in most cases, but I still have to move town every month or two” she said shrugging, she was used to it, even most vampires knew her by appearance, hated by the dead, she shook her head, she didn’t really care.
“ a night scan, when I go out at night and I scan the most likely places for vampires, just to see if I get lucky” she said her voice was flat and emotionless, showing that not a word was a joke. Killing was one thing she didn’t joke about…
Scarlet actually laughed, the sound purring into the night, “ Zombie movies, well if you are interested call my boss for a penny or two I can raise you which ever Zombie you like” Scarlet was crazy enough to raise a Zombie with out her boss charging, even for a show for the young girl in front of her, but it was the idea of disturbing the dead that she didn’t like, she preferred to do her job when she was needed, “ Or you could come around tomorrow and watch me work” she brushed her hair out of her face, as the wind blew it back again, she took out a dagger absent mindedly as her legs began to ach, she spun the dagger slightly in her hand, not really showing off more a habit she had when trying to take her mind off of things. She ended up plonking herself down on a headstone close to the woman.
Sierra Claire - December 1, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
“Really? But won’t people realize and put a connection together” she asked? She decided to trust this woman as well. “It’s the same with me...nearly. No one’s ever put the connection together that I’ve wasted some vampires since I don’t belong to any hate groups, or anti-vampire clubs or anything” she said proudly. “I have a bit over two hundred kills to my name” she said proudly! Perhaps it was risky admitting this to another soul but she hadn’t really talked to someone in ages. Or...what felt like ages.
“Oh” she said stupidly. “I just pick them up at clubs or follow them home” she said. Her favorite method of killing was killing from a distance. To follow her target and then kill them when they least expected it. She’d thought of breaking into their homes but that would leave fingerprints and traces that she had been there...if they could ever match her prints to her. But out on the street, in an alleyway...it was public property and anyone could touch there.
“Yeah I’d love to watch you work” she replied, “I doubt my mom will approve but don’t worry, I won’t tell her” she claimed. She would love to see a gross zombie being raised, but better yet, she would like to go a-vampire-hunting with Scarlet. She had read about animators but not one journalist described the process in full. To see it hands on would be a wonderful thing. She was pretty sure though after she saw the zombie being raised she would demand a cremation instead of a burial.
Scarlet Morti - December 1, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Scarlet shrugged awkwardly “ never judge a killer it can get you killed” she said grinning, it was the case with most people, either they kept their distance or they tried to befriend … Scarlet never indulged in such a thing as friendship yet she was always fascinated on how it worked, she had red in books that it was a bond of kindness and trust… two main things Scarlet did not confine in easily.
“ Two hundred hey? Well good for you, I have been in the business for quite a while, I have the amount of warrants I think is 168” she pulled a sour face “ each warrant connects to my badge and I get another kill added, but all together I probably have done double “ she said her eyes blurring slightly as a cloud crossed over the moon, she adjusted her position on the headstone and looked back up at the girl. She would never picture her as a killer or vampire hater, but I guess you can never judge a book by its cover!
Sierra Claire - December 1, 2007 11:07 PM (GMT)
“Yeah I suppose. I never imagined that you held a weapon behind your back” she muttered. It was mostly to herself but she just threw it out there. That showed her, she had gotten lucky this time. Never judge someone on looks or appearances because the people that seemed to want to kill you looked innocent! She supposed she was thinking too hard because she got a pain in her head just now. “Just pulling out a water bottle” she replied as she slowly opened up her purse and pulled out a miniature bottled water and a bottle of Tylenol. She popped two Tylenols in her mouth and drained them with a bit of water. She had lost count of how many Tylenols she had taken but probably over the recommended twenty-four hour limit. But what mattered if her liver or kidneys went shot in another year or two? She was expiring in a year if she was lucky.
“You okay” she replied wondering if it was the right thing to ask if she was fine or just leave it be. Afterall she plunked herself onto the tombstone. Obviously bad luck. “I suppose you don’t believe in luck eh” she replied. She had grown up religious, her father a preacher...mostly he talked about how terrible lycanthropes and vampires were in the world but she had grown up believing in god. She knew that he was testing her...and soon she would be rewarded in heaven for her work here in hell exterminating them. “That’s good” she replied. “I think I’ll get in another fifty or so more kills this year in...but that’s all” she quietly said.
oOc-Opps, I forgot to ask if you were alright. Stepped away from the comp for a minute and just forgot....
Scarlet Morti - December 2, 2007 10:20 AM (GMT)
Scarlet shrugged a bit embarrassed, “ well coming out with my big weapon in front of ya probably wouldn’t have been the best experience” she said eyeing the woman on where she was sure held a weapon. She looked around as she suddenly felt like someone was watching her; a small shiver ran up her back, she shrugged some tension off of her shoulders. “ Excuse me one moment please” she said to the woman before against her will, she turned her back to the woman, she opened up her link to her Animator power, she felt it expand within her and roll across her skin, to others her power felt like a cold mist of death, to her it was the most comforting thing she had known… seeing her past it made sense!
She closed her eyes as her power stretched over the cemetery, growing over each dead corpse that lay 6 feet under, she was careful not to accidentally raise any, all it took was a cut on her arm and she would have a hell of a night, finally coming up empty handed, the cemetery dead, she made a small gesture, rolled her neck and turned back to the woman who had now taken out a small bottle and some medicine.
She laughed, “ bad luck? I kill people and nearly die everyday, I doubt my luck could get worse” she said grinning, but soon the humour was gone from the situation, Scarlet was sure she had heard the woman say earlier she was going to die, scarlet questioned it in to which way, she hopped she wasn’t in the presence of a suicidal, it meant more work!! “ Are you okay?” she asked a small frown creasing her delicate forehead, under the pale moon that shone shadows over her head, making her look more aged…
Sierra Claire - December 2, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
She shrugged Scarlet seemed embarrassed but she shouldn’t have been...not really. These days you didn’t know if someone was human, lycan, or vampire. It was really hard to tell the humans from the lycans. But once you found out the lycans usually lost their job. If you wanted to find humans, then in her opinion you should head to a mall and find out whose spending lots of money, since lycans rarely have money from being so poor and contaminated with diseases. She didn’t blame her for having a weapon on her. Though Sierra would have put a weapon on Scarlet too if she looked dangerous. She had underestimated her so she didn’t bother drawing her guns.
She watched as Scarlet then seemed distracted and turned away. She watched curiously, wondering what exactly she was doing. She bit her lip, “yeah I’m fine. Why”? She turned her head away from Scarlet; she had too big a mouth and forgot that what she had said could be taken a few ways. “Are you ready to get going? Cemeteries creep me out” she muttered. Though once she knew how dangerous this woman was, she admitted silently to herself that she hadn’t taken her eyes off of her once. It only took once...and then she’d be dead...way earlier than was medically predicted.
Though perhaps they could be friends...even if they didn’t fully trust each other. Because you never really trusted someone that...you heard talk about committing murder. As nice as Scarlet was, if she found out she was a lycan then she’d drop her like a hat and fill her with silver. Though she hoped that she wasn’t a lycan, she really hoped. Perhaps that was also why she’d been watching her like a cat staring at a mouse...to see if she was human.
Scarlet Morti - December 4, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
Scarlet shrugged to the woman “ Just scanning the cemetery, I would have liked some fun” she said her hands holding onto her buckle where her cross was attached, she got up and rolled slightly on her heel, once making sure there were no passing vampires she nodded to the woman. “ Okay then, I guess we can be going, do you mind if we walk back the way I came, I need to get my Animator tools” she said already heading towards the bushes in which on the other side was the grave she had raised for the police.
Seeing her black heavy bad she walked over and threw in on her shoulder, the weight of all her killing animal tools and lots more pulled her down slightly but soon balanced herself “okay ready, ill lead you back to the car” she said as soon as the words left her mouth she turned in a slight circle, trying to remember where exactly she had parked the thing, seeing the road not far away she thought that was the best place to start.
Sierra Claire - December 7, 2007 04:54 PM (GMT)
“Alright no problem” she replied as she followed Scarlet wherever she had come from. She would have liked some fun to, she pretty much assumed that meant killing a vampire, and they had the same idea of ‘fun’. “You know” she replied as they stalked back to Scarlet’s car; “we can always go find some fun elsewhere” she replied her hands in her pocket, not near her gun. “Fun is always looking for a meal. And fun should be near here” she replied, replacing the word ‘vampire’ with ‘fun’. “Here’s always fun” she replied chuckling in her own amusement.
She licked her lip ring again at the thought of killing another vampire. It didn’t just sound fun, it sounded orgasmic. She usually stalked her pray; she would then find out that they were a vampire and follow them. All she ever kilt were new vampires and shifters. They were pretty much the easiest of all things to kill. They hadn’t mastered the art of hiding what they were, those filthy bastards, and couldn’t defend themselves as well. It was why she had targeted them in the first place instead of famous vampires or known shifters. But she had always assumed later on as she mastered her skill she would hunt them after she had perfected her own art.
Scarlet Morti - December 7, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
Scarlet laughed, she liked this girl “ well then I guess our minds think alike, okay, well I have one way of tracking a vampire, it will have to be fast after I do it, I wont be able to do it again but it will give us a clear shoot” Scarlet said getting excited, she couldn’t help but have a twisted sense of fun.
She looked at the woman for an answer, but she only stood there blank in front of her, Scarlet guessed she hadn’t explained herself clear enough, of course humans did not no all of our little secrets. “ Well, you see I am a quite strong Animator, So in other words the power over of the dead…” she trailed off and hoped she didn’t scare the young woman off “ Don’t get me wrong I’m human, but like I can raise the dead, I can also sense them” she pulled a small face and watched the woman.
Seeing no reply she guessed it was time to show her what she meant “ When I was “scanning” the cemetery I was actually using my power, you should be able to feel it, I’m guessing it will most probably feel cold to you, like a cold breeze” she put down her bag on the floor and slowed her breathing, she adjusted her weapons so each was in her reach. Then with a strong block on her mind she cast out her power, she tried to keep it strong to travel further.
She felt as her power trickled around the woman in front of her, then danced over the dead, she skipped across the deserted cemetery until she finally found a small power, she quickly located how far away the power was before closing off her mind, she pulled her power back in and blocked it so even if the vampire went searching they would come up with nothing unless they were very powerful. Which by the feeling was the case.
She turned back to the woman who seemed quite normal posture “ okay I have found a vampire not far away from her about 2oclock for 200 meters." She said remembering the feel of it. “ It’s a biggy” when she said that she wondered if the woman understood she meant in power wise. “ Would you like to test it or go on home?”
Sierra Claire - December 10, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
She really didn’t know what to think when this woman said she could ‘sense the dead’. Was she truly human or was she something so distorted from human that she needed to be hunted down herself? She said she was human, but what did she really know about animators? What did anyone really know about animators? Not many facts were given, people just accepted the fact that they raised the dead....but not all people accepted accepted. She knew that some people hated animators, but her father had never raised up that issue in his church so she couldn’t see herself hating an animator. She just knew that she’d never liked to be raised as a zombie.
She shrugged, “I don’t know...I always feel cold” she muttered trying to feel what she was supposed to be feeling. But now if she felt could maybe her mind was just making her feel cold because she was informed that it was supposed to be cold. She watched as Scarlet put down her bag, it had looked heavy and then adjusted some weapons. She had a thought that they were perhaps going to fight for a moment.
A vampire two hundred meters from them? Was she...kidding? “Test it? I wanna kill that son o bitch” she replied as she rose up her shirt a little revealing her two guns. “Silver rounds, best quality” she remarked on. She turned around to face the direction Scarlet was in, and turned so that she was pointed at 2oclock. “You coming” she questioned taunting her newfound friend. Her plan was to just act normal, walk up to the thing and then shot the creature till it lay there dead. No one would find him till morning, and no one would care. The thing was in a cemetery afterall.
Scarlet Morti - December 14, 2007 05:31 PM (GMT)
Scarlet opened her eyes again and grinned at the woman, who resembled a brave soldier not afraid to fight, hell she was asking for a fight, scarlet almost laughed at how easy the person seemed to know exactly what scarlet felt and thought.
“are you joking, I’m as ready as ever!” she was a very personal person, it wasn’t her fault, she just liked the sense of actually being in the game, she liked to watch as the vampire died, she liked to keep it clean, swift and personal. But she never minded a small battle, a drape of neck and the vampire always thought superior… strange, Scarlet’s weapons were all close weapons, nothing done from far away, damn, she thought as she saw the guns she had one of her own, but it was never used; And definitely not in a battle.
She smiled, she had felt the vampires powers, it would need more than a few bullets, much more, she pulled on her cross so it was in perfect position, and then turned to the woman “ we have about 3 – 4 minutes to gain on to the vampire before they run” she said judging the vampires knowledge, a smart vampire after being power challenged would run, an old vampire would fight to be superior…. Hmm the word kept coming back … superior.
She set of in the direction, taunting her fellow friend to follow…
Sierra Claire - December 16, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
“That’s good to know” she chuckled in amusement as then Scarlet took the lead. “People always underestimate woman” she acknowledged Scarlet as she spoke, hoping she would understand that the vampires would probably just think the two were here to party or on a dare and not know that they were in fact here to kill It. She caught up to Scarlet and kept in the same stride as her as she began to think up on what she knew about vampires.
Besides being totally disgusting and have a huge craving for blood she knew what she thought to be a fair amount of knowledge upon them. Besides not liking the sun or the taste of silver there were more things that she knew they didn’t like. They could put up with garlic of course, depending on the age of the vampire. And besides increased skills...and the ability to stay the same age they could also hear from further distances away.
“OMG Hey, this cemetery is soooo wicked” she spoke in the language expected of her; teenage girl. The teenage girl language confused her at times but it was an easy language to learn, though she barely spoke in it. But she had to throw the vampires off of their guard. They couldn’t run to them and charge weapons out in the open because then the vampires would flee, or attack them before they knew what had hit them! So innocence was their best offence. She hoped Scarlet would catch what she was trying to do....
Scarlet Morti - December 17, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
Scarlet rolled her eyes, clearly this woman had no history on vampires what so ever, she estimated where they were and how far away the vampire was, they were close but not close enough for the vampire to hear, she put her hand out to the woman and gestured her over to the tree. She breathed out the words each one hissing into the night, she understood what the woman was trying to do but a vampire wasn’t born yesterday.
“ Okay, well, I will start with a small quick note” she said her hand coming up and brushing her hair away from her face “ Vampires aren’t stupid, I understand you are playing innocent, but here is a new fact, a vampire can smell the metal of your bullets from a mile away. Shouting can not only give away your position exactly as a vampires senses can narrow it down to 2 meters if your cleaver and hard to find, but you have also insulted him, bad thing I have enough weapons to start world war 3 so he can smell me from a mile and I taunted him with my power when I searched him, my guess his waiting to trap us” she leaned back against the bark of the large tree keeping her ears pealed for the slightest sound. “ If you would like to go on your way and test him be my guest other wise keep it low” she felt a tickle of power run down her, he was searching Damn “his coming” she whispered as she drew all her strength tensing her muscles she felt him only meters away, she jumped up, lashing out her muscles her daggers coming out from her sides and gripping into the bark for support… Perfect she could see him, gliding power leaking off of him, powerful yet clumsy … she didn’t understand why such an old vampire was letting power leak. a trap ? Yes a moth to a flame, she looked down at the woman and gestured her head her eyes pealed against the darkness.
Taking out her dagger cross she waited to see if her young co worker was going to take first shot, she studied her breathing tried to slow her heart beat but knew to a vampire it was as though a drum beating threw the air, she watched as she tall cloaked figure appeared not far away, the hood covering half a pale white male face, a deep glow of satisfied hunger illuminating his perky flesh, she got a glimpse of black eyes and looked down at her cross closing her eyes and blanking her mind… ready.
Sierra Claire - December 18, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
She couldn’t help but lick her lips with excitement wanting Scarlet to play along but then she developed this harsh note. She couldn’t help but frown at the woman. “I never said they were stupid, I just implied it” she remarked sour-fully back at the woman. “And as for the metal of my guns. If a lycan couldn’t smell them up close and personal then I doubt a vampire could” she remarked. She knew vampires and shifters had an exceptional sense of smell so she knew she had better clean her guns well. She crossed her arms under her breasts as she debated on informing Scarlet how she cleaned her guns and loaded them with strong female cologne.
“So if he’s waiting to trap us, then it was you NOT me who gave ourselves away” she remarked coldly. This woman had a backbone, that was good, but she didn’t like her taking that tone with herself. She bite her lip ring as she debated on going in full force or being quiet and shutting the hell up. She watched as she slanted herself against a tree as she still had her hands crossed. She chose to remain silent. She didn’t like to chase something or have something strike back. What she was used to was the enemy not knowing what the hell was happening till it was too late.
She was silent and quiet but still she heard Scarlet mutter that he was coming. She didn’t give them away, it was Scarlet. On a second thought, hunting with Scarlet lost its fun-ness. But she wouldn’t flee! She would fight god damn it and she would be victorious. She had just wished that Scarlet had informed her that when she used the power on a vampire it would know it!
Her eyes had been on Scarlet the whole time and where they should have been was out in the surrounding darkness, the nothing land searching for the apposed enemy. They were going in blind here though her eyes were well adjusted to the dark. She watched as Scarlet nudged her face in direction a silent warning and thus turned her face towards the empty darkness. She knew without a doubt that something was coming for them. She couldn’t feel it and all she had was Scarlet’s intuition. Could she trust her? Was this woman playing her for a fool?
Out of the wee corners of her eye she heard soft movement; Scarlet was taking out a weapon. She tilted her head and glanced at her. It was that dagger...but still...to use it you would have to be close to your prey! Did she not know that vampires had increased strength and could easily take the blade away from her then wring her neck! Dear God, please don’t let me be working with a rookie! She thought to herself. She bent down retrieving spare clips and placing them into her pocket as she then got out her gun and stood silently, gun pointed out into the darkness.
She saw a figure approach wearing a cloak of a mysterious color. The person inside the cloak was pale and seemed to glow. Don’t let this person be human, don’t let this person be human! Was what she chanted in her mind as she fired the first shot. Oh God she did not want that thing coming closer to her. She wasn’t one hundred percent sure that it was a vampire but she did not want to risk it. Her whole body was shaking, this wasn’t how she worked. She spotted the enemy and then she killed them when they had their backs turned or had no clue she was about to kill them. She didn’t kill someone who knew that they had to defend themselves! Oh shit, oh shit!
Rose Muertos Sangre - December 18, 2007 09:34 AM (GMT)
Rose’s hand came up in front of her, seeing the woman not far away, she pondered over her from a distance, yet she had no power… human her eyes scanned higher the area around the girl, there in the tree she saw another woman, an animator no dubt she felt the power, strong, powerful, firm.
She walked out from where she was coming close to the two figures, her eyes fixed on both, she sensed that both were highly intoned with vampires and would dare meet her eyes, enveloping her power around her she walked out towards them closer, knowing that finally their pitiful human eyes would be able to make out her figure in the dark.
She smelt metal, on both women, even more on the other in the tree, holy water and more she stopped in her position finally deciding that these two were trouble. She heard a click of the safety on a gun, then a shot, the woman was fast yet still a tremble of her body line could be seen in the soft midnight glow. How dumb to test a vampire as old as Rose… dodging the bullet she felt it whistle past her, tearing her cloak and splitting in to the dark spraying small bark daggers towards her, she hissed at the girls who were beginning to piss her off.
Pulling of her cloak she let her long dark brown ringlet curls fall in a cape, delicately framing her soft facial features, her dark eyelashes outlining her hazel eyes. Her voice came out, a soft tempting voice, even not using her powers; Rose had a powerful seductive voice. “ Tut Tut, such an inappropriate way to greet one as I” she said her anger hidden behind the mask of a pleasant face. She turned towards the woman with the gun, keeping in the corner of her eye the tree woman, she waited for another shot before going deep into battle.
Scarlet Morti - December 18, 2007 09:57 AM (GMT)
Scarlet just sat in the tree her cross close at hand, her daggers stuck in the bark for balance, her gun in her holster carefully off safely and her holy water safe at hand. She felt a strong power roll threw her, she tried to block it off and let it pass threw, but the power was powerful and knocked the breath out of the woman. She took a slight breath as she felt it retreat. She had given off her power, and Scarlet was sure she was of a rare bloodline. Damn
Sitting back knowing she was spotted, yet the vampire seemed to keep its attention only on the woman on the ground, scarlet watched intrigued, the woman below her was strong, and letting off an aura of strength and hatred towards the vampire you go girl yet scarlet still didn’t understand what made the woman below her more stronger for the vampire to divert her attention. Then a small glint of a gun and a loud shot echoed threw the forest.
Scarlet heard the vampire hiss and stuck her back against the tree, knowing the vampire would now pounce out of the way, yet as though playing dodge ball, she stepped to one side the bullet whizzing off and spraying bark, a small fragment hit scarlet in the arm and sprinkled her legs, she didn’t look down to see the damage but kept her eyes on the vampire, who seemed to have blanked, she didn’t feel any hatred or anger towards us, scarlet cast her power out stronger towards the vampire but still came up with nothing, even more surprising the vampire seemed to give a small bow.
Still hypnotised by the vampires unusual behaviour she watched the vampire pull away its cloak, even more surprising it was a beautiful woman huddled under the lines of black cape, she watched as she seemed to flick her hair in slow motion, it was one thing that got Scarlet was the beauty of vampires. Damn them she though shooting her gun at the vampire and dropping to the floor besides the woman in utter jealousy and hatred; A frown crossing her face as other than retreating the vampire dodged and greeted her.
Sierra Claire - December 19, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
She watched transfixed as the vampire had their hand out in front of them. Could he possibly deflect her bullets somehow with his hand? Or did they simply think that that would protect them, or had they given up? The figure walked forwards, coming closer to them. It took all her inner strength to not step backwards.
She watched the vampire as best as she could though they moved with quick speed. Something anyone human was incapable of. She nearly sighed with relief, for she hadn’t attacked a human at all. She was more than plentiful at taking a creature’s life, but a human? No, that she could never do.
She spread herself out moving away from Scarlet so if the vampire charged she wouldn’t get in the way of her shots. She was a bit disappointed and impressed at the same time. The vampire had managed to dodge her shots, though her cloak on the other hand seemed to be ruined. She knew now without a doubt that she had pissed the vampire off.
She steadied the gun when the vampire hissed at them. The vampire honest to God hissed at them like some angry cat! She watched as the vampire moved his hands and pulled off the cloak. It was then when she realized that the vampire was female.
The vampire spoke with a sophisticated voice and had a pleasant enough face but she knew that no face of a vampire was truly pleasant. She sounded quite cheery for being shot at. This was obviously an act....but why?
She was unsure of what to do. Did she attack or wait for a signal from Scarlet? “What should we do” she signaled to Scarlet, not yet acknowledging the vampires presence to anything but yet that of the gun; another insult against the vampire. She didn’t dare turn her head to look at Scarlet, because if she looked away for a second the vampire would have them both dead. All this bitch needed was a second.
“What should we do” she repeated again in question to Scarlet? She knew that they had presumably lost this battle. She knew when to cut her losses and move on. She had nothing on her except this sole gun and another clip. Scarlet the last time she had looked at her had nothing but up close weapons. There was no way in hell that they could beat a vampire like this. Their best option was sneak-attack and they had lost their defense.
Rose Muertos Sangre - December 29, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
Rose laughed as the scared little human had belittled her as to not greet her, she found that quite disturbing, she wondered dearly if the poor young human had the pitiful idea of suicide as only a suicidal would treat a vampire with such careless manners.
Again Rose’s face remained pleasant a cast at her ruined cloak never wavered her gentle smile, almost as though playing the mean witch in the gingerbread house, inviting so dearly to join her before she ate them, but no no, rose wasn’t going to take her meal out of them. Vampire was one thing but it wasn’t ladylike to do such before introducing herself.
She smiled and bowed slowly her eyes remained on the two girls, “ I am Rose Muertos sangre, Spanish for dead blood” she said as a smile fell on her lips, pulling her lip back more so that her fangs illuminated her darkness, gently grazing her bottom lip.
She waited for a flicker of one of there eyes, she was a direct link to her master, the queen of all nightmares, her powers were passed through the blood and Rose held the key to all of which, yet she never had discovered how to unlock it, it is known to all that a descendant of the queen of nightmares should have the power to bend reality into a dream right before the eyes of their victim, changing their world into a passive dream, a sleeping nightmare. The thought was both horrifying and intriguing….
Scarlet Morti - December 29, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)
Scarlet was intrigued more and more by the young woman’s attitude, the gracefulness of her face as it shielded all emotions that flickered here and there through her dark chocolate brown eyes. Without noticing she seemed to be pulled into the vampires gaze, as though a light was in her eyes she was drawn to them as a moth.
Scarlet’s body quivered with the struggle to stay put, trying to rip away from the vampires eyes, the dark chocolate warm eyes that seemed to fall cold all at the same time, she felt her legs betray her stranded mind as they took a step forward. It was exactly what the vampire wanted, vulnerable, mind rolled humans.
Then a force seemed to grow within her, the strength for survival, built on hatred her past, her present and the vampire’s future. She continued how ever to move forward, gracefully as though her mind was still in a trance, though this time Scarlet focused on a small spot that was near the vampires left eye.
Finally she came in front of the vampire, the vampire’s hand was held out before her, she wondered what she was meant to do, get on her knees and kiss the hand of god ? Wouldn’t surprise her if that was what she wanted, instead she walked up to the vampire keeping her eyes remanded near those of her opponent. She took the hand and with her other she pulled out a dagger, she pulled in close and went to plant the dagger.
She felt the woman freeze before, the dagger near the woman’s chest, in a fast movement scarlet went to send the dagger home, but her hand was violently stopped, suddenly the air went out of Scarlet’s lungs as she was thrown harshly against a tree. Her eyes stung dearly threatening tears of pain as her mind taunted disorientation. She took in gasps of air as she tried to get words out in the end she settled simply for “ damn you “
Sierra Claire - January 2, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
The sound of the vampire laughing had plagued her ears. She was laughing, she was enjoying herself. Damn this vampire. What was with everyone introducing themselves to her? It was like they were all taunting her, wanting her to attack them. She was tired of being batted so and tired of not having the power to fight back.
Out of the corner of her eye came movement. “Scarlet”? She questioned. “Scarlet”? She questioned again. She was wondering why the hell Scarlet was advancing on the vampire. Her eyes left the body of the vampire and moved fully on Scarlet, watching her with immense detail.
She watched as Scarlet moved right in front of the vampire. The vampire did nothing, yet. The two’s hands met and her eyes twinkled with disgust. Did they know each other? Was she being played, setup? But then things changed and Scarlet went to stab her with the dagger.
She jumped back as in a flash something happened and Scarlet was flying behind her, being thrown with such force. She didn’t check to see if Scarlet was alright...even if she was still alive. She heard her speak and she had to watch out for herself too. She was the only other human standing right now.
Without any words she began to fire her gun hoping that the shots would hit their intended target. They were really screwed, they needed some help. She didn’t let a trail of bullets go because she only had one extra clip, she needed to be careful, very careful.
Rose Muertos Sangre - January 2, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
Rose Pushed the woman who had betrayed her mind roll, against a tree hopefully knocking her out as she twitched watching the young girl in front of her. She showed her fangs taunting the poor human into utter madness.
Opening her mouth she went to speak when all of a sudden bullets came in her direction, she moved in the speed of light, dodging the woman’s bullets by inches in till one bullet hit her arm, she snarled and backed away from the crazy human. Looking down at her wound.
Moving the dark material from her cut she looked to see what had happened, only a small grazing but her top was torn.
She looked up at the woman her calm delicate face, now only a mask of fury
“Human, How long do you want to curse me such with your bullets? They do nothing but shred my clothes” she said in disgust as she wondered when her trousers would go.
She regained her position in front of the woman, catching her eye slightly as she put on her voice the calm protective voice as though the world was dark and only she held the light of life. “Child, come” she beckoned with her hand, sending out her powers slightly towards the woman “ Give me your gun, she don’t want to hurt anyone tonight” she smiled warmly the fury from her face gone as soon as it had come.
She beckoned again with her hand towards the young girl, “ come child” she repeated her voice soft as she stepped an inch again towards the woman, gracefully opening her hand in front of the woman waiting for her to leave her weapon.
Rachel pardus - January 2, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
Scarlet Morti - January 2, 2008 08:13 PM (GMT)
Scarlet spat out blood onto the forest floor, she tried moving slightly her hand, arm, body she went to sit up as her head spun, sickness falling over her as she looked up tears gently stinging her eyes as she tried desperately to clear her view towards the two left in the game.
Her throat closed up again as her ears bled at the sounds of bullets being let off in all directions, she shivered her body trembling in pain, she new that a female vampire had more power than 10 of her best strongest men put together, but a human could always try, her eyes felt heavy as she wanted so dearly to close them, but knew to do so would be excepting failure.
Scarlet watched helpless from a distance as she tried to understand what the vampire was saying, listening to the gentle voice that filled her ears with warmth bringing heat to her cheeks, she felt power ripple across her but knew the human in front of her had no idea. She had to do something; she tried to scream, her voice barely leaving her lips.
“Get out of here… Run… it’s a trap… blow her brains out! She’s using powers on you” she said after the woman, damn it she thought as she gripped on to a low branch and tried to pull her self up. Damn damn damn she said spitting more blood out as she finally found herself standing walking over to the other woman, she blamed herself dearly for putting the woman’s life in danger, it showed plainly across her face as she came in closer to the woman.
“ I’m Sorry, You should leave I will look after her” she said remaining as straight as possible hiding her emotions of pain from her face as she took a step in front of the young girl and took out her own c125 gun, taking off the safety and loading it.
Sierra Claire - January 3, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
She held her ground though she wanted to flee backwards. The vampire snarled a hideous sound, she had hurt it. Good! She was shaking in her boots from fear. Sweat was perspiring on all parts of her body. It formed underneath her arms, the bends of her elbows to the bends of her back and the crape of her knees. The salty sweat dripped and slid down her back as if it were truly rain.
She stood her ground as the vampire advanced facing her. Her heart was pounding more like thudding in her chest. If it could break free, it would have long ago. The calm voice was soothing and it made her want to do what she said. Only the cold sweat woke her from the dreams. It broke her away from reality. She didn’t believe in vampires, vampires couldn’t hurt her. Besides, she wasn’t looking into its eyes. She knew better than to do that.
But the voice was so soft, so gentle. She raised the gun in her hands and turned over the handle. She raised the gun and then moved it forwards, holding it out. It was then that her vision from the vampire was intercepted. Scarlet stepped in between the two of them. She stepped aback and looked at what she was doing. “Whhhat...the hell” she replied a bit confused.
“Your...you’re sure” she asked of Scarlet? She wanted to leave, she wanted to leave terribly. But she didn’t trust Scarlet to actually take care of the job. But she had no choice. She didn’t want to end up as vampire meat. “Take care” her voice echoed as she turned tales and ran.
