Megan glanced down at the note in her hand then back up at the house in front of her.It looked nice.A two story place with shuttlers and a heavy looking Oak door.This is where the only other tiget in the city was suppose to live.Megan had gone out of her way to learn about Kestral though her friends and random people that had meet her.Kestral lived her with her parents,her parents that were often not home due to work and travel.

Megan gave the air a danity sniff trying to rule out the thought that she was in the wrong place.Nope,she could smell that familiar orangey-Jasmine smell that often followed her around.Taking a deep breath Megan trotted up the steps and rang the Door bell.She hid one hand behind her back crossing her fingers and hoping for the best.

Kestral was curled up in the sitting room with her homework.Now that she had gotten into the swing of things everything seemed to be smoothing out and getting easier for her.She never really had a hard time in school and actually liked learning for the most part.Smiling she looked over her book and leaned over to check ananswer off.

In the distance the door bell sounded causing Kestral to look up with a frown.Her parents were once again out of town for busniess and she wasn't expecting any one to come over.Streching she got off her seat and headed towards the Front hall.She paused before reaching the door.There was a Lycan on the other side waiting for someone to answer.She reached out with her power and was slightly surprised to feel a tiger on the other side of the door.

She opened the door and stood their knowing she looked really Preppy but that couldn't be helped right at the moment.Her tan pants and light blue collared shirt seemed to be the oppiste of This girl's Tank top and Boards shorts.

Pasting a smile on her face Kestral leaned against the door frame."Hello there,Can i help you?"

Megan shuffled her feet slightyl after ringin the bell.Taking a step back she rested her hands on her hips playing with the waist band of her Board shorts.She had a moment to wonder if she should have dressed in something else when the door swung open.She watched as a black haired girl blinked at her before offereing a smile and leaning on the door frame.This had to be the Tigert,Power was rolling off of her in waves.Megan wondered if she was bad at shielding or wastrying to make an impression.

Megan smiled ans took a small step back.Not reason to be in striking distance she thought to herself.
"Im Megan Wright.I was told you were the only Tiger in Miami,Wanted to stop by and Say Hello.I just got into Town myself".

Kestral watched as the other Tigert shuffled back a step or two.She frowned wondering who had told Megan about her but brushed it off in her happiness to have another Tiger in town.
"Would you like to come in and chat with me?" Kestral asked taking a step back into the house.

Megan offered a grateful smile asshe passed Kestral and walked into the house.It looked even bigger on the inside than it did on the outside.She waited just inside the front hall placing her hands in her pockets as she watched Kestral shut the front door.


"So how long have you lived in Miami."Megan asked as a way to get the ball rolling.She peeked around catching sight of some painting on the wall.

Kestral shut the door Megan made her way into the Hall.She shoved her hands into her pants pocket as she passed by the other Tiger motioning with her to be followed.
"I've been here about a month or so myself.I lived in North Florida my whole life though.It's a nice town." Kestral made her way to the kitchen with drinks on her mind.

Once in the Kitchen she pulled a Jug of water out of the Fridge.
"Would you like something to drink?" Kestral asked looking over her shoulder.

Megan followed behind Kestral as she made her way to the Kitchen.Megan took the time to glance around noticing the bright paint and faded looking painting hung on the wall.They really hadn't been here long at all from the paint fumes that still lingered in the air.
Megan turned when Kestral offered her something to drink.
"Yes,Thank you" Megan smiled tucking a chunk of blonde hair behind one ear.

Kestral walked over to the island bar with the water in one hand and two glasses in the other.She set everything down and started filling the cups.Once done she turned to hand Megan a glass.

"So tell me about yourself.Are you a born tiger?"Kestral asked taking a sip of her water while watching Megan.She might have been infected and not born but Kestral was still a powerful shifter according to the Lupa of her old City.

Megan chewed on her bottom lip as she rested her glass between her hands.She nodded making her hair fly around a bit.
"Yup Im a Born Tiger,I can tell your not though.How did you get infected if you don't mind my asking?" Megan sat her glass down on the counter behind her as she waited for an answer.She was really interested about the Tiger in front of her.

Kestral paused on her way back to the Fridge.She looked thoughtful over one shoulder as she placed the glass jug back where it belonged.Turning she leaned against the now closed door as she took in the Lycan in front of her. How did she know the I had been bitten? Kestral wondered while chewing on her bottom lip. Megan must have more power than she had orignally thought.
"I was going to school in Cailforna when i got attacked by a Tiger they had locked up.No one knew they had it till it was to late."

Megan nodded as she crossed her arms across one another.Sounded harsh to be attacked like that.She was slightly surprised word hadn't gotten back to her King about that.He would be interested to know that someone had locked up a Tiger like that.

"I'm sorry you had to go though that,I hope you don't hate your beast or anything like that". Megan watched Kestral with thoughtful eyes.

Kestral shook her head.If anything it was the oppsite for her.She loved her beast,it was a friend that never left her alone. She swirled the water in her glass staring down at it for a moment before taking another sip.She sat the glass on the counter and headed over to standnext to Megan.Resting nect to her fellow Tiger Kestral relaxed in the warmness that was pouring off Megan's skin.

"Im pretty at peace with my beast honestly enough".

Megan watched as Kestral made her way over.Once she was settled againstt the counter Megan slipped over till they were standing side by side.
"Ive alway had my beast so i don't know what it would be like to hate it or anything". She offered a shrug with her words.Crossing her arms across her chest she tapped the fingers of one hand against the other arm.She glanced around the huge Kitchen taking in all the shining stuff.

"So you live here with your Parents?"

Kestral sighed softly asMegan's side rubbed up against her own.The feel of Tiger that was not her own was nice and seemed to have a relaxing effect on herself. She had never been around other Tigers so this feeling was a first for her.She nodded hearing Megan's question thought a haze.
"Yeah..My parents being here is what made me follow.So far I really like it here".Kestral glanced over into the face of Megan.
"What about you? What made you chose Miami to move to?"

Megan smiled as Kestral moved closer to her making the gapof air between them disappear.She held her hand out in front of her hoping that Kestralwouldtakeit.She wasn't hitting on her or anything,this was about being close to the only Tiger she had manged to find.When Kestral asked her question her first response was to curl up her hand and hug herself.With only her will power focusing her she kept her hand out.

"Miami was one of the first schools to send me a letter so that's mostly why I'm here".

Kestral stared at the hand that appeared in front of Megan. She slowly reached out and grasped the offered hand in her own.A tingle of energy went down her arm and she had to force herself to stay upright. Megan didn't really look all that powerful but she manged to pack alot of power away in that tiny frame.

Kestral listened as Megan explained how Miami was the first school to give her a letter of welcome.Kestral frowned her gut telling her that there had to be more to the story than that.Maybe she had a fight with her family and that's why she came to Miami Kestral thought tucking the idea away to think about when she was alone.

"Yeah.The School is why I'm here as well.I'm taking classes to be a vet".

Megan nodded as she curled her fingers around Kestral's.A lycan vet was unusal.Most animals could sense the hunter they carried around inside of themselves and freaked out in a major way.It was hard to try to explain why they did that to humans.

"How is that working out for you?"Megan asked looking up into the blue eyes of Kestral.

Kestral wrapped her fingers around Megan and gave up any pretense of being shy.She turned till she was facing the other Tiger and exmained her with bright blue eyes.She was strong that was no doubt,but was she stronger than Kestral? Having been trained by Wolves made her think along their lines where rank was important.She would have intantly assumed the Megan was stronger but something was off.Her held her head down and seemed soft spoken for someone that had been born with their best.

"I have to ask.It might sounds stupid and vain but are you an Alpha?" Kestral asked still holding onto Megan's hand.The urge to send power though their clasped hands was strong but Kestral didn't want to seem pushy to the only other Tiger she had gotten to meet.

Megan shot a look at her hand still in Kestral's before she turned her attention back to the Tiger herself.She listened as Kestral talked about school and then she seemed to bust out a question that had nothing to do with that they were talking about.

Puzzled Megan nodded slowly."Yeah.Since i was born a Tiger I'm a Higher ranking Tiger.I guess you could call me a Alpha.Never had to fight anyone for rank though."

Kestral was holding her breath wishing she had atleast come across a few more tigers in her life.She knew that if they were Wolves a power struggle would be going down right about now.Since Cat Lycans were much rarer than their wolfy brethan not to many kitties made a fuss about being Top Cat as it were.Sure they had structure like The Pack did.The lions had their Rex,The Pard had thier Nirmir-Raj ann the Tigers had their Raja Yah.



Their were so few tigers that it was hard to build up enough to make a
Na-hsi.Kestral released Megan's hand and offered a half shrug causing her loose top to shift slightly.

"I've never meet another Tiger let along someone that was born a Lycan.Wasn't to sure.Are all Born Tigers Alpha's then?"
