Title: Movie Night #2
Description: ATTN: Katt

Christopher Henley - November 3, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
Chris was practcally throwing his head into the cement wall of his office as he glanced down at his phone seeing he missed a call from Katt. Checking the voicemail he practically jumped out of excitement for seeing her again. It had been quite a while since he had seen her.

It seemed that between her new job and Chris contributing to three different cases was a killer for a love life. Who knew? As soon as he finished the summary of the serial killer who enjoyed hunting lycanthropes, which still turned Chris's stomach, he was out of the office and in his truck in the blink of an eye.

Checking his watch, it was 4:30 and it took an hour with traffic to get home...he calculated the amount of time it would take to shower, pick up the house, and get the popcorn and drinks ready.

It was a nice day outside so Chris had the windows down and he was blaring Hinder's CD. Not many people see a pick up truck and think rock music, but that was Chris, a rich country boy who rocked when he could. His wolf was trying to urge him to hang his head out the window, Chris even laughed out loud getting him weird looks from a blonde haired girl at a red light.

Pulling into the drive, he jumped out of the truck and ran into the bathroom to take a quick shower. Jumping out, he tucked the towel around his waist as he began picking up his boxers and his clothes from that day and placed them in the hamper. Heading into the kitchen, he stuck the two dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turned back to get dressed.

A small thought crossed his mind to stay just as he was, but the better half of his mind prevailed. Chris slipped into a pair of stonewashed jeans and a Rolling Stones t shirt his dad had given him after a concert he and his mom went to.

Chris went into the theater room, which he was thinking about renaming the Chris and Katt date room. He went and grabbed a little ice to put into the bucket along with 4 beers as well as a couple sodas. Now he just had to pass the next hour. Going into the living room he grabbed a book on ghouls and turned on the lamp to start reading.

It had been a long day, but the thought of meeting Chris kept her going. Between her starting at the shop, and the mass of cases that had been thrown on Chris’ desk, they hadn’t seen each other in a while, something Katt was more than happy to remedy tonight. Heading out to her car with a spring in her step that most would say was very unlike her, she made her way through the mass of traffic downtown and over to Happy Palace. It just seemed fitting to show up at Chris’ house with Chinese food.

10 minutes later, she walked out with a double order of sesame chicken with white rice and steamed broccoli, a large order of crab rangoons, and a six pack of Killians. It wasn’t too long of a drive after that, and before she knew it, Katt was pulling into the driveway.

With food and beer in hand, Katt made her way to the front door and gave it a quick knock before hitting the doorbell. With a smile on her face, Katt waited for Chris to let her in.

Chris was a little more than engulfed in his booked, ghouls was something he didn't dwell too much on in college, but he was remedying that with a little more studying. He was already a quarter of the way into the book when a knock at the door jolted him out of it.

He glanced up to the clock, damn that hour flew by, he thought. He jumped up and walked, thought briskly, to the door. He opened it to the beautiful Katt. With a smile he said "Glad you made it as he reached out to her and gave her a hug and a kiss.

"Come on in, I have everything ready for after dinner. The food smells delicious." Chris walked her into the dining room which was basically an extension of the kitchen. Helping her put the bags down he walked back into the kitchen to grab two plates for them.

Chris smiled as he came back with the plates and two glasses for them. "So how has your job been treating you?"

Katt Marshall - November 4, 2007 01:23 PM (GMT)
The door in front of her opened and Katt smiled as Chris smiled right back at her. He reached out and Katt met him halfway, stepping in and with food and beer still in hand, she wrapped her arms around his muddle and hugged him back. The kiss ended far too quickly for her, but she was sure that would be remedied soon enough. Still smiling as he pulled away, Katt followed Chris into the house, closing the door behind her.

“I’m glad I made it too. I only wish we could have found a way for me to make it out here sooner.” Chris helped her with the bags, setting them on the table before turning and heading into the kitchen. Katt opened the bags of food, setting every on the table and turning around just in time to see Chris walking back to her. Taking the plates and glasses from him, she set them down on the table before turning back to him with a smile.

“Work has been fantastic. They sent out a flier to announce me starting there and I have been getting work almost faster than I can ink the people up.” Katt grinned, truly happy with her job.

Chris saw the disappointment flash on Katt's face before he turned to let her in, he smiled knowing she wanted a better greeting than the one he gave her.

"I am just happy you made it at all. I love the seclusion out here, but for travel time its hell sometimes" he said with a smile as he talked to her while gathering the dishes. As she took them from his hands he smiled as she spoke about work.

Walking back into the kitchen to get some silverware and digging in one of the drawers knowing he had a couple pairs of chopsticks that his mother used, he found them. "Thats great! You look so happy, I was kind of hoping it was because of me..." he laughed. Grabbing the matching pair of matching chopsticks.

He walked back in quietly and snuck in behind Katt placing a kiss on her neck. Placing the utensils down on the table, he wrapped his arms around her and placed another kiss on her cheek. He didn't move his mouth from her neck as he spoke, wanting her to feel his breath on her skin. "So I found these chopsticks my mother had and I decided I could try and teach you how to use them" he smiled against her skin, "I remember how you chose the fork last time so I have been practicing."

Katt Marshall - November 4, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
The smile on Chris’ face was very telling. He saw that quick flash of disappointment cross over her features, and liked the fact that she wanted more. “Personally, I think the travel time was well worth it.” Katt smiled in Chris’ direction as he rummaged around in the kitchen before heading back her way. She raised an eyebrow at the chopsticks in his hand, shaking her head and laughing softly.

“Well, as happy as work is making me, I am smiling for an entirely different reason right now.” The smile stay on Katt’s face as Chris slipped in behind her, wrapping his arms around her middle and settling a kiss on the back of her neck. Katt shivered and leaned a bit back against Chris as he moved and placed another kiss on her cheek before speaking.

“Well, it’s a good thing you have been practicing, because I am terrible with those damn things,” she said with a soft chuckle. Chris’ mouth moved over her neck as he spoke, making her shiver again. “You know, if you keep that up, the food will be forgotten, as well as the movie. Not that I’m complaining at all, mind you.”

Christopher Henley - November 6, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
Still standing behind her, he picked the chopsticks back up and took her hand in his, moving in to snuggle in closer to her. It was hard, but he wanted to make it through dinner and at least the previous before he got distracted, of course his actions weren't helping his thoughts.

He smiled as he placed her hand open. "Ok so here is how I learned" he said with a smile leaning over her shoulder still breathing on her skin. She smelled wonderful, a mixture of wolf and a feminine smell to her. Concentrate Chris... "You take your open palm and place the stick up here" he placed the stick on the crease of her thumb.

"Ok now don't move" he laughed as he picked up the other stick. "Now this one" he placed it in between her index and middle finger "goes here. Now," he reluctantly moved from behind her to grab his own set. Then moved back to his exact spot not wanting to be away from Katt any longer. Their couple weeks apart had been enough for him.

"See this is how I learned" Chris said with a grin on his face as he put a stick in each hand and pointed them inward. "Ok ok maybe not..." he held the sticks just as he had shown her and wiggled them apart and together. "Impressive?" he asked with innocent eyes, though they were clearly the opposite thought behind those eyes.

Katt Marshall - November 11, 2007 01:45 PM (GMT)
Katt grinned as Chris only snuggled in closer in reply to her words. This was definitely going to be one of the most difficult dinners to get through if he kept sniggling up to her like that. Then again, it would be totally worth it. She hadn’t wanted to admit it, even to herself, just how much she had missed seeing Chris since their last date. But, there was no denying it now, even to her own stubborn mind.

Chris reached over, picking up a pair of the chopsticks and opening her hand, breathing on her neck as he set the first stick in place. Katt grinned, biting a bit at her lip as she looked back behind her shoulder at him. His body shook at her back as he laughed, admonishing her not to move as he set the other stick in place. He then moved, reaching for his own set before coming back to her and grinning as he took a stick in each hand and held them like mini spears. Katt laughed, shaking her head. “Well, now I can do that.”

Still grinning, Chris moved the chopsticks back to one hand, deftly wiggling them back and forth like a pro. Raising an eyebrow, she chuckled a bit and let her eyes move back to the sticks in her hand. She attempted to move them, only to have them click together at the top and tumble out of her grip until she held them in her now closed fist.

Laughing, she shook her head. “Screw this. Just give me a fork.”

Christopher Henley - November 12, 2007 12:03 AM (GMT)
Chris burst out into laughter at Katt, "Giving up so easily?" he teased as he placed a gentle kiss on the bend of her neck. He walked back into the kitchen and got 2 forks, in case he got tired of using the sticks.

"Your wish is my command" he said placing the fork on the table in front of her. "That is enough of a lesson anyways, I am pretty hungry since I forgot to eat lunch as I wrapped up the case today."

He took Katt's hand and pulled out the chair for her with his free hand. Placing the plate in front of her, he looked at all the boxes and shrugged not knowing exactly what was what.

Taking his own seat across from her at the small table, he smiled as he reached for one of the boxes and spooned out some white rice. He then spotted a box that said 'CR' on it. He smiled, just like their date a box of crab ragoons. "Just like before but no hassle of driving and fighting traffic to get to the movie" he smiled.

Katt Marshall - November 19, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
“You’re damn right I’m giving up. If the powers that be wanted me to use chopsticks, they wouldn’t have made plastic forks and knives so readily available,” Katt said with a nod as she laughed again. Giving a soft sigh as Chris kissed her neck, Katt leaned back against him for a moment before he left her to make his way back into the kitchen.

“If it’s that easy to get a wish granted, I need to try that more often.” Katt grinned, sitting down in the offered chair. She gave Chris’ hand a light squeeze before he left her, taking his own seat across from her. Katt picked up one of the boxes, spooning out some of the chicken before setting the box in front of Chris. Doing the same with the rice when he was done with it, Katt just smiled. “Sounds like a perfect night to me.”

Christopher Henley - November 25, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Chris smiled at Katt as he took the box of chicken she placed in front of him. “This was a great idea” he smiled as he began scooping out the food onto his own plate. Picking up his chopsticks he tried to pick up a piece of chicken and failed miserably.

Looking a bit embarrassed, he smiled again, “I haven’t actually practiced with food yet” he said bashfully. Placing the sticks down, he picked up the fork. “I think you are right about the powers that be.”

“You can try anytime with me. I am sure you will get everything you want and more.” Looking at all the boxes he made sure he had everything on his plate before he realized he was missing the best part-crab ragoons. Putting a couple on his plate, he picked up a beer and offered one to Katt.

“I don’t think I have told you this yet, but you look absolutely beautiful.” Popping the top off, he took a sip and placed it back down on the table. “So I take I didn’t hold up my end of the bargain. I wasn’t the first person you worked on? I assume so because you have been awful busy. I am sure you had people lined out on the street from you to work on them.
