Title: Arrival (continued)
Yurina - September 4, 2007 08:41 AM (GMT)
Then she elegantly jumped onto the indoor garden which was covered by glass, much like a green house and very slowly and carefully crawled along the glass until she came to the wall. From here she pulled out her sharp Ashiko foot spikes and put them on. She looked carefully for cracks and rammed the heat tempered, titanium Ashiko into the cracks and got a firm grip. Looking for hand holds she started to climb slowly up the side of the building, it wasn't that far a distance but ever now and then she had to slow to a snails crawl or even completely stop when a guard passed by on each side of the building and looked in her direction. Because of her lack of movement they never saw her. It took another hour to make her way into the nearby window. Which the room there was completely empty. She got in with not a sound and placed the Ashiko's rubber tips on to keep them from stabbing her as she placed them in her suit.
Looking around slowly she listened for a hint of sound and heard nothing. If she was correct in assuming, she knew that they would easily hear her and smell her. So she used the Kai symbol to slow her heart rate down to just barely functioning, which ment she had to be extreamly careful and concentrate on it as well as keep her body moving at an acceptable pace that will let her move quickly but not overstrain her slowly beating heart. Then she used the Hei symbol to mask her presance from the lesser beings that may be around, she of course knew though that Darla could sense her reguardless. Now that that was finished she needed to look for the door that was most elegant and seemed to be the most guarded. She pulled out a pack of sleeping darts just incase and got them ready as she started to sneak through the castle.
Avoiding anyone that came to near or simply putting them to sleep and hiding the bodies from view. Eventually she came to a large door, much better and elegant than the rest and opened it slowly. She saw a good sized bed with a high arching headboard. The pillows and covers neatly done up. To the left of it was a coat hanger and a item drawr that had a nice large mirror, a vase of flowers and a lamp. To the right was another dresser, with what looked like a stack of books. The couch infront of the bed was neatly done up and it looked like both windows were open nicely. The breeze felt good as the crack of the door pulled it through. But she didn't bother with that. She slipped through the door and crouched low. This had to be Darlas room, but then again she could be wrong as well.
Darla Strigoi - September 4, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Sitting in the library downstairs, Darla smiled with a hint of fang as she heard metal digging into the brickwork. That had to be none other than the ninja child, Yurina. Sending a tiny tendril of power through the house she followed the ever cautious girl, noting the hiding place of each of her manservants so that she could order them be recovered momentarily.
Watching in her mind's eye as Yurina stalked into her chambers and cast a look around, she stood and replaced the book she had been reading before walking to the foot of the grand staircase. With another small flick of power she called to her head of staff and told him where he could find the sleeping foms of some of the maids. The man showed no suprise but merely bowed and went to reclaim his fellow humans.
Not stopping to watch the man walk away, Darla herself stepped onto the staircase, lifting the hem of her sapphire blue silk gown so that her small matching slippers could be seen as she moved up the marble. She had changed into the dress upon arriving back at her Manor, wanting something cool and smooth against her skin instead of the slightly rougher linen she had worn to the beach. A few minutes of walking through the maze-like corridors led her to the flung-open doors of her room. Yurina was crouched low at the edge of the room, inspecting a neat stack of books that Darla had bought for Rowan to read whilst she was dead for the day. Leaning against the doorframe gracefully, she folded her arms in a rather more modern gesture and tilted her head with a slightly blank smile before speaking quietly, a whisper that would trill along the human's skin and make her shiver.
"Do you see something you like?"
Yurina - September 4, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
She shivered but managed to hide it quite well as she stood up and turned her head to look at her. "Not currently." She said quietly before turning and placing the sleeping darts in her suit and standing at attention. Her appearence a perfect image of what a ninja is. She'd known that Darla had been able to track her but that didn't mean she still wasn't stealthy as she let the spells she'd used drop and seemed to relax, her heartbeat returning to a normal pace and most likely catching the attention of any other undead that may be in the house.
Darla Strigoi - September 4, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Taking in the new clothing Yurina wore, Darla stalked into her room just as Yurina released the spells that had slowed her heart rate, the beat of it suddenly pounding back to life in the vampire's ears.
"Then you anticipate something of interest arriving at some stage in this conversation? I am intrigued..."
Yurina - September 4, 2007 10:21 PM (GMT)
"Maybe i do my Master." She bowed her head lightly and closed her eyes, her waist bowing slightly with her head before she stood up streight. "But i will say that i am willing to serve you in any way as you wish of me Master Darla." She stood quietly at attention and looked at her. Her weapons gleaming in the dim light.
Darla Strigoi - September 4, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
"You already preume I am your Master, rather than the Master of this City. What makes you so confident you are already within my employ?"
Still standing just inside her room, Darla turned to her side slightly, eyes away from Yurina as she instead looked out of the window to view the moon. Rowan was at this moment with Gerard....she knew she was alright but she was still eagerly anticipating her beloved wolf's return.
Yurina - September 4, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Yuri smiled behind her mask. "If that is what you wish. Then you are the master of the city and no more." She nodded her head slightly and walked to the door. She wasn't going to argue with the vampire. It would be pointless as she slipped quietly out the door and walked down the hall. Pulling the silver rubber band holding her hair up, out and letting it flow down her back. She placed it in her inner top pocket before closing it once more. She pulled her mask down and wipped the sweat off her lips and cheeks. All that running was, for nothing so to speak. Taking the time to track the vampire down, sneaking through the house and knocking out the servents. Darla had tested her abilities and obviously found them unsatisfactory so she wouldn't waste her time anymore. From the sounds of it, in all honesty, her mission was pointless as well. From just talking to Darla for the short period she had, she'd realized that Wolfrevan was not a threat and was not going to try to kill him. It hit her that this is what her masters wanted. To see just how good at judging people she was. She made her way through the maze like place. Searching for a way out.
Darla Strigoi - September 5, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)
Smiling as the human walked past her, Darla let Yurina walk to the front doors then flicked out her power, activating the protections she had set up upon her arrival to the city. Invisible walls of power sprang up around the entire estate, locking the doors and windows, every last possible exit for man or beast. Nothing could get in or out without her allowing it. Now, what would the ninja child do in response to this?
Yurina - September 6, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Yurina only tried the door once before knowing what was going on. She turned slightly and walked quietly to the living room. It only took her a few minutes to find it as she sat down in one of the chairs and crossed one leg over the other. At this point she simply waited. She wasn't going to run around in a panic over something she knew she couldn't beat. She was quite sure the self control and lack of panic would impress the vampire more than her fussing and getting anxious anyways.
Darla Strigoi - September 6, 2007 06:47 AM (GMT)
Watching Yurina with a slight smile, Darla waited for her to take her seat before walking slowly back downstairs to the living room, entering the room without a word until she was seated opposite the human.
"Very good - now we may talk further of what you wish to give."
Yurina - September 8, 2007 03:31 AM (GMT)
She refrained from smiling. Knowing that this was the vampires plan. Tilting her head slightly she thought quietly before speaking to her. "I wish to serve you. In any way you please." She made sure to stress the meaning towards ANY. Her arms crossed lightly as she leaned forward to stare into the vampires eyes.
Darla Strigoi - September 8, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
Staring back at Yurina, Darla smiled just enough to bare the points of her fangs and let her power fill her eyes just enough to semi-roll the human. It would feel to Yurina that she was suddenly so hot she couldn't stand it, then cold as ice. A low blanket of confusion laced with fear would settle around her and Darla's form would blurr slightly. With a whisper she spoke through the power she was directing at Yurina.
"And would you be able to do anything for me whilst being attacked, or lost?"
Yurina - September 12, 2007 05:36 AM (GMT)
She raised her eyebrow slightly and had to process the question couple of times. She placed her hands in her lap and thought before answering. "It depends on the situation m'lady." She licked her lips lightly. "But i've been fighting my whole life, been hunting vampires and lycans my whole life. It is up to you if i'd be use to you or not m'lady." She bowed her head slightly and placed her hands on her stomach and stared quietly into her eyes.
Darla Strigoi - September 12, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
Satisifed with Yurina's answer, Darla cut off the power she had been using instantly, her form and the room temperature returning to normal for the human.
"Very good Yurina. Now, I have but one more test of you and this shall decide if you are to stay here."
Yurina - September 12, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
Yuri blinked and listened before nodding to her. "And what would that be m'lady?" She stood with her hands on her hips. Her eyes watching Darla, she would do anything to prove that she would be of use to the vampiress. (Sorry it's so short XD)
Darla Strigoi - September 14, 2007 03:38 PM (GMT)
Not answering, Darla in a blinding movement unsheathed her greatsword and was behind Yurina, clouding her mind and using her speed so that she simply vanished and reappeared pressed to the human's back, close enough to feel the girl's pulse against her cool skin. One palm flat to her back shoved Yurina away from her as she raised the sword, advancing on the human as though to attack.
Yurina - September 15, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
Yurina blinked a bit as she saw the vampire dissapear before she felt t he blade in her back and frowned, more in annoyance but also in understanding as she was shoved. Rather than lose her balance she let herself fall forward and did a hand spring over the couch infront of her. Pulling out her sword at the same time and throwing a shuriken at Darla simply to distract her before jumping back just far enough to get the wall barely a foot away from her back, eliminating darla's ability to appear behind her again. Her periphrial vision keeping a look on each side of her as she mumbled a few of the hand magics to increase her senses to at least give the vampiress a challenge.
Darla Strigoi - September 16, 2007 10:38 AM (GMT)
Darla dodged the shuriken without removing her eyes from Yurina, her sword emitting a faint whistle as the air moved over the edge of the blade, her speed as she moved towards the human enough to make the noise. At the last moment before colliding with Yurina she felt the brush of the girl's unnusual magic as she twirled away to stand beside her, sword beneath her chin.
"Very good Yurina, but are you going easy for my sake? Perhaps you wish me to truly try?"
Yurina - September 17, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
Yurina's blade was up and at Darlas stomach as a split second before she felt the steel on her neck. "That's a matter of personal opinion really Darla." She turned her head, the movement making the blade slide along her neck and leave a small cut. Though no pain was showing in her eyes, they seemed dull and emotionless at the time.
Darla Strigoi - September 17, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
Looking into Yurina's eyes steadily, ignoring the blade at her stomach as she knew it would cause minimal damage in the scheme of things - something the blade at the human's throat would not do. - Darla inhaled noticeably as the blood started to trickle down Yurina's neck slowly. Rather than exercise her control, she let her body react to the scent and sight of blood, her eyes turning from brown to blue and her fangs becoming more noticeable beneath her lips.
Yurina - September 17, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
She stood absolutly still. Not moving a muscle, but it wasn't from fright, it was from the amount of calm her mind was set in. She didn't know the meaning of fear right now. All she knew was that it was her, and Darla in this room and a blade was held at each others bodies. Oddly erotic for some reason she didn't know why as she watched the change come over Darla. Her head turning a bit and her tongue snaking out to lick at the blood on the blade.
Darla Strigoi - September 18, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
Mimicking the tilt of Yurina's head, Darla's icy eyes bored into the human's face. She had no power rising, she had simply let the smell of the blood cause natural changes, like that of salivating for people in the presence of food. Her eyes moved to follow Yurina's tongue as it slid along the blade and as it slid back to the human's mouth, the tip a deep crimson against the paler flesh, she smiled predatorialy.
"Good girl, now it seems we are at a stalemate, both blades at another's body. Or are we?"
Still smiling, she held the blade at Yurina's throat still but walked away and around to be at her front, the reach of her greatsword far longer than that of Yurina's blade. The point of her sword was now digging into the dip at the center of the collarbone, one solid push and Yurina would die instantly, decapitated. As good as fear would be to smell, the lack of emotion coming from the human except the barest hint of desire intrigued her and made her want to see how far the child would go to get hurt.
Yurina - September 18, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
Yuri watched her movements and lowered her sword, sheathing it and lightly reaching up with a hand to clasp the blade. SHe moved it aside, getting another line of blood drawn up before kissing along the blade of the greatsword. Her hand stroking along it and lightly cutting her palm but each cut brought no reaction of pain, mearly more pleasure as she litterally caressed and rubbed what ever part of her she could against the great sword.
Darla Strigoi - September 18, 2007 10:55 PM (GMT)
Tilting her head to watch Yurina, no effort at keeping the 5foot long sword level, Darla licked one fang slowly as she watched the human. Her eyes picked out tiny flecks of blood sticking in the corners of the engravings along the blade, and she knew she would have to use a special cleaner on it later, but it was worth it to watch a human willingly slide along a knife-edge of non metaphorical origin.
"You may be my bodyguard Yurina."
