Title: Becoming Pack
Description: ATTN: All wolves
Adelphus Beckett - August 28, 2007 04:23 AM (GMT)
Having directed his wolves to the place he had in mind, Adelphus parked his car a mile's walk away and started moving between the trees with an easy grace. His wolf was howling within him, face raised to the moon in greeting. He would wait to be let out, rather than try to test the man's control, but he still wanted to make noise.
Reaching the clearing, he sat down meditation-style in the very centre, eyes open but not seeing anything inparticular. It was in this position that the first wolves to find him would see him...
Katt Marshall - August 28, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
Katt makes her way through the trees, letting her hands move over the rough bark as she walks closer to the clearing. She had not been able to make it to breakfast at the pack's safe house, but after calling and letting Adelphus know that, he told her where to meet him if she truly did want to be part of the pack.
She knew this was something she wanted, even though it bothered her that Jake was deaddet against doing it himself. It took little to no time to make it to the clearing Adelphus had described. A small smile settles on her face as she sees him, apparently meditating, in the center of the clearing. "Good evening, Ulfric," she says with a smile, nodding her head in his direction.
Christopher Henley - August 29, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
Chris and his wolf decided a run around his acre and a half was not enough to satisfy either of them. After driving a few miles out of Miami city limits, farther than his house was, his wolf caught scent of something familiar come on the wind blowing through the windows of his car. The wolf perked his ears and raised his nose to the wind, someone like him. Pulling over at an open lot, he closed the door and locked it. Stopping a few feet from the car, Chris stopped and closed his eyes, trying to find the origin of the scent. It wouldn't be too bad to find a pack here in Miami.
As he began to walk, his eyes still closed, letting his wolf follow his nose. All of a sudden Chris opened his eyes and there was a man sitting down and a woman near him, standing. A little startled, he searched for words. "I am sorry, I did not mean to intrude." His wolf brushed his inside, telling him not to turn and leave. "I do not mean to sound foolish, I am Chris." Awaiting to see if either of the two reacted to him or his wolf.
Rowan - August 30, 2007 11:02 PM (GMT)
Rowan stepped out of the taxi, handing a few bils to the cab driver, and thanking him. He was giving her a very strange look. Must seem weird to drop someone off at the edge of a forest. She had refused Darla's offer to have the chauffer take her to the Lupanar. It seemed strange to arrive in a limosine.
As the tale-lights faded, she turned towards the trees and the scent of wolf. She ran with ease, following the scent until she came upon a clearing where Adelphus, Katt, and another man stood. She didn't recognize him, but her wolf was not affronted by his presence. He was another of her kind, and he seemed kind enough.
She smiled at him, and joined her Ulfric with a slight bow, demonstrating her respect for him.
Jacqueline Kapelos - August 31, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Jacy stopped her car a little ways up the road and got out. Wolf was in the air. She recongized the scent of the other members of the pack. Her wolf sniffed the air. She walked toward the Lupanar. She suddenly spelt a wolf she didn't know. As she arrived she spotted Adelphus mediating in the middle of the clearing. She smiled at Katt and Rowan. She smiled at the other man and watched him since she didn't know him but he was one of them.
Adelphus Beckett - September 1, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
Smiling as he scented Katt, the first of his wolves both to the meeting and his Pack, Adelphus turned to look at her and motioned for her to do whatver was most comfortable - stand or sit. He did not have long to wait or even start talking to the woman before a strange wolf appeared, one he did not know. Looking at Katt a moment incase she had invited him, he noticed the suprise and lack of recognition on the newcomer's face and nodded in welcome.
"What is foolish in apologising and saying your name Chris? I am Adelphus, and you are welcome to join us."
Still smiling, his eyes grew paler in his happiness as both Rowan and Jacy appeared. They were coming quickly now, the pull of the Pack was already starting to form it seemed.
"Good evening all...we are awaiting a few others, so do not worry about having to hold yourselves in much longer."
Richard Brent - September 1, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
Richard slowly walked through the forest, the clearing getting closer and closer. He breathed in deeply taking in the scents of the trees as the wind ran through them. Entering the clearing slowly, recognising Adelphus' scent imediately along with the others he gave a low bow to Adelphus and a smile to the others and then walked a bit more and sat down cross-legged on the floor breathing deeply.
Kelsi Whittle - September 1, 2007 04:29 PM (GMT)
It was only when Kelsi was trudging through the darkness of the forest night, trying to find the scent of the rest of her pack, and dying of a heat stroke that she realized that she could have taken a taxi for the first half of the drive until she found the scent. Now she was merely walking alone in the woods, sniffing the air for any sign of other lycanthropes. She sighed, though, not wanting to feel bad for herself in such a selfish manner.
Pulling her messenger bag up onto her shoulder (as it had been falling off for the passed fifteen minutes) she caught a scent. It was faint, but she knew it to be none other that the infamous leader of her pack: Adelphus Beckett. A smile formed on her face as she had finally found them, and walked a bit faster to the destination. She ended up in a small clearing. There were already many lycanthropes here. Six, she counted, in all. So either she was late, or this was a very popular get-together.
“Good evening, Adelphus,” she said, laying down on her stomach and pulling her laptop out of her messenger bag. She turned it on, eying all the other lycanthropes that had joined them in the festivities and making note of their appearances and attitudes. She would add them to the portfolio she had on her home computer tomorrow. Pulling up the internet and typing a few things in, Kelsi finally turned to Adelphus and smiled. “I do hope that you will appreciate the information that it is almost a two-hour walk from here to home,” she said, noting only a bit of annoyance, and yet still holding much respect in the comment.
Adelphus Beckett - September 1, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
Nodding in greeting to Richard, Adelphus stayed seated as he watched him take his own meditative position on the floor. Kelsi soon appeared carrying her laptop and characteristic odd behaviour. Smiling in greeting he looked around the clearing and noted that Charlie, Angel, Debs and Jace had yet to arrive.
"We shouldn't have long to wait and then we can get down to business my friends."
Christopher Henley - September 2, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
Not too long after he had spoken to the two wolves in front of him, another woman appeared. Smiling back in response to the offered smile to him. It seemed as soon as Chris would explain why he had intruded, another wolf would show up. Another woman who offered a smile as well, giving one in return, Chris was thinking of a sentence that would not sound stupid to the 3 women and man in front of him. A 'Uh I followed my nose where ever it goes' sounded like that bird on the cereal commercial.
His wolf brushed against him, Chris was reminded what he wanted when coming out here in the first place- a hunt. As the man spoke to him his wolf bowed his head slightly. His wolf would have smiled if he could have at the man in front of himself, he gave off such power, must be the Ulfric. “Adelphus, it is a pleasure to meet you, I am not sure exactly what I stumbled upon. I caught the scent of wolf as I was driving and, well my wolf is a very curious one.” Chris smiled “I was not aware of a pack formed in Miami of yet, I have just moved here for a job myself. It would be a pleasure for me, if you would allow, to observe your pack and gage whether I would be an asset to the pack or-” Chris didn't want to sound as if he was a bad man, which he wasn't, so just giving into the towards that first formed in his head, he continued, “whether the pack would be better off with out me.”
After he spoke, another wolf, this time a male, cam forth into the clearing. Chris was merely observing, standing back a little to watch all of the wolves coming. He had obviously stumbled on a meeting of some sort. Another female wolf came into view, she was a little exhausted from a hike here apparently as she pointed out how far it was om her home. Chris held a laugh in, apparently she wasn't a very athletic type.
Looking around at all the faces turned to Adelphus, he counted 5 females and 3 males including him. Adelphus spoke of more wolves who should arrive shortly, Chris couldn't help but wonder if they would be male or female. Knowing full well that gender had nothing to do with dominance, Chris tried to find which were the more dominant in the group. Remembering what Leonard taught him on how to gage it, Chris was taking every moment in. These may be my new family Chris thought to himself. His wolf brushed him, proving that idea suited him. Soon my friend. Lets see how we will fit in, so far so good. That seemed to calm the wolf, who sat regally awaiting the rest of his potential pack.
Adelphus Beckett - September 2, 2007 09:04 AM (GMT)
Rising to stand as Chris spoke to him, Adelphus stetched his back, arms above his head, and inside him his wolf stood up from his sitting position to stretch too. The pair then looked quietly at the newcomer as he continued to speak, Adelphus noting that the other wolf seemed happy to be there, ignoring the man's wise words of waiting to see if he was right for the Pack. This made Adelphus think he would be, but he wouldn't stress it.
"Curiosity is always an asset, even if it means you sometimes get bitten on the nose." Smiling at the man as he spoke, he had truly been addressing the wolf, adding to Chris' words. "The Pack is to be formed tonight, we have met to help one of our wolves through his first shift and then I plan to take us all on a hunt, to run as Pack and make it so. You are more than welcome to join us, as it is the perfect chance to see if you are indeed 'useful' as you put it."
Now he just hoped that Jace would show up soon, or they would have a very unhappy wolf running amok through Miami without his Pack to keep him in check.
Katt Marshall - September 3, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
Katt watches as a myriad of other wolves begin to appear int he clearing, some she knew and others she didn't. She smiles a bit at the male as he introduces himself, nodding her head in his direction. At least he was being polite, as opposed to the strange girl who appeared and only managed to complain about the long trek it was out to the lunapar.
Turning her gaze back to Adelphus, she offers him a smile before sitting down on the ground to wait for the others, leaning back a bit on her hands and stretching her legs out in front of her.
Kelsi Whittle - September 4, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
As she finished glancing at the people that had so far arrived, she had noticed that the one that they were actually there for was absent. From previous encounters, she had found Jace to be a bit of a proud creature, but not proud enough to miss out on someone helping him with something he truly needed. Then, realizing that she had been staring into the sky thinking of him, she cursed herself under her breath and added to his part of the portfolio: ‘A complete and total imbecile that needs to stay out of my thoughts, less he becomes minced meat in the future.’
She sighed and looked back up as Adelphus as he stretched and stood. Her eyes glanced toward the newcomer, whose name she had found out (and had already made a part of the portfolio dedicated to) was Chris. This, she thought, was surely a form of Christopher. He seemed kind and polite in the way that he acted. He, also, seemed strong, but gave off the impression that he worthed brains over brawn. Which, also, meant him to be much easier to handle than Jace. Kelsi cursed. There she went again.
As another one of the female werewolves looked over to her, she felt as if she was being mocked. She blinked and looked down at her computer again, seeing that it had gone on to the screen saver from her idleness. She had set it to come on after three minutes. She couldn’t have possibly have been idle for that long. She’s never idle for that long on the computer. Sighing, she sat up, crossing her legs and took her hair down, only to clip it back up messily. It was coming undone anyway, and Kelsi didn’t want hair hanging down in her face while she took information from the pack.
Rowan - September 5, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
Rowan watched as the other pack members appeared. Her own wolf was yipping playfully with her. The scent of so many others of her kind was comforting, the moon was rising, and she could feel the pale fur brushing up inside every part of her. It filled her until she felt like she was inside-out. She couldn't wait for the change.
She was pretty sure they were only waiting for Jace.
Richard Brent - September 5, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)
Richard looked up at the moon and rolled up his sleves, stretching his legs and slowly lying down on the grass.
Apollo - September 6, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
Apollo walked through the woods in his own quiet grace, an unnatural one born of the immeasurale time span of evolution in the jungles of South-East Asia, perfected and then transfered to a human in a single innocent jab of a needle that was meant to keep it from ever happening. For, one most see, Apollo was not a man, or at least, not just a man, but a lycanthrope, a wolf of the dingo subspecies, and the canid was pacing inside him, waiting for the time it knew was coming, when its form would be the one of their symbiosis, and they would move and hunt as a predator was meant to.
Coming to the edge of a clearing, he smiled as he felt the familiar power of Adelphus coming from within it. Undoubtably the Ulfric would have sensed him, if he was, as normal, meditating and waiting for the right time for the pack to unleash its beasts and take its food from the land. Smiling he stepped into the clearing and addressed the alpha wolf, "Greetings Adelphus Beckett of the Puteulanus Luna Clan of Lukoi, for wherever is the Ulfric is the Pack. Have you room for one more old friend amongst you?"
Adelphus Beckett - September 6, 2007 02:30 PM (GMT)
If wolves could smile, that would be what Adelphus' Japanese wolf would be doing. Sitting beneath the full moon, surrounded by Pack, HIS Pack, not far from the change. Tonight was a good night - the sky was clear, the air still save for the occasional breeze. The ground was firm under-paw, not soft after rain or hard after frost. It was perfect. Now they only needed Jace to show up and get him through his first change so that they could utilise these perfect hunting conditions, to run as one, as family.
He was bought out of his thoughts as to the location of Jace by the familiar scent of dingo and man conmbined - Apollo had shown up in Miami. Smiling, he waited for his friend to appear between the trees and listened to him speak before clapping his hand to the man's back in welcome.
"Apollo - it is good to see you again my friend, there is always room for another wolf in our family."
JaceDeitor - September 6, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
His mind and heart raced, he had to will his legs to keep lifting and falling in front of him. You couldn't call what he was doing walking, it was to unnatural, his arm wrapped tightly around his stomach, his free hand finding trees and large rocks and anything that would support him as he stumbled on. His knees bent and gave once or twice, sending him sprawling to the dirty earth.
'Give up' he heard, 'Let it happen, don't be afraid anymore' He wanted to cry. To wrap himself in the tightest ball he could and wish this whole thing away. But he was more afraid of being in this place alone, of dieing alone. He just wanted to see there faces past the next tree, to fall at there feet and just let them take care of him.
'Quite the man you are, you know they wont want you. Sniveling child...' now he was angry, he cursed inwardly and slammed his now balled fist into his stomach. "Go knob yourself."
Face twisted in uncomfortable, unnatural pain. He pushed himself on. Though the taxi had dropped him off near a half hour earlier, when the pain began to strike harder he had lost his way. The forest and his mind played its tricks, what he thought was the right path was nothing more then a few gaps between trees.
He pitched over a fallen log and rolled onto his side, groaning and writhing as he imagined several claws pushing slowly out from his stomach, pulling his skin apart so the head of the monstrous wolf inside of him could escape into the night.
Laying his head back, unable to fight forever, he closed his eyes and pretended he was back in Adelphus's home. He looked around in the room of his mind, seeing his 'packs' faces. Seeing them smile sweetly, gruffly, and not at all even when they wanted to. So many different personality's. but he knew them all, or at least he thought he did.
the deep guttural voice in his mind returned. 'Almost time.' it laughed steadily, its tone hastening, pitching and rolling. 'Soon we'll have it'
Adelphus Beckett - September 6, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
Adelphus' words to Apollo had barely left his mouth when both wolf and man swung their faces towards the trees. The wolf growled, nose in the air as it scented, the man frowned and started moving away from the Pack, moving towards the noise and scent they had detected.
Talking in a firm tone, all business, he motioned for the Pack to wait where they were.
"Wait here, I will be back in a moment."
Slipping through the trees gracefully, moving in a slight blur, he reached the fallen form of Jace within minutes. Kneeling beside the moaning man, he listened for a few moments as Jace and his wolf battled each other then slipped his hands beneath Jace's back and lifted him effortlessly. Returning to the clearing, he walked to the centre and placed the now shuddering man on the ground. Glancing around his Pack, his eyes setlled on Katt a moment, then Apollo, before looking back to Jace.
"Gather around, he needs our help now."
Now, the plan was in action. All of the Pack but himself would shift to be around Jace as fellow wolves. He himself would stay human to talk Jace through it, to let his human mind be comforted, then, when everybody was ready, he would shift too and they could hunt. He just hoped it would all work out that way...
Kelsi Whittle - September 7, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
Kelsi was merely typing up a few things on the new character that had just entered the clearing when Adelphus motioned for them to stay in their spots. Kelsi quickly flipped off her laptop and stood, eyeing the other members of the new pack to see if they had any idea of what was going on. Not one of them showed any signs of knowing, and so she looked back.
Within minutes of the leader leaving, Kelsi seemed to start getting a bit worried. She was just about to talk into the forest after him when she spotted Adelphus coming back with a form in his arms. Be brought the body into the middle of the clearing for everyone to see and laid him down there. He then asked everyone to gather around. Doing as she was told, Kelsi walked closer only to realize that it was the man that she had met at home.
She kneeled down beside him and Adelphus and looked him over. He looked as if he was in extreme pain and on the brink of changing into his wolf form. “His breathing’s erratic. There’s most likely no way for him to stop now that his wolf has started the change,” she said, trying her best to help, but ending up acting in a negative way. The only way to help would, most likely, be to change along with him and deal with how he acted in wolf form. If worse came to worse, Adelphus could put him down until he changed back.
Christopher Henley - September 8, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Christopher looked around the Lupanar, for that was only what this could be and it could only be the fates that led him here on his run. There were so many different types of people here, from the tattooed woman who caught his eye in more ways than one- and his wolf's- to the geeky girl who brought a laptop into a forest. Taking a page out of the other wolves he took a seat in the grass and toke a deep breath smelling forest and wolf.
Apparently an old friend of the Ulfric's had shown up, a wolf but a special wolf, Chris had never had this particular smell hit his nostrils. His wolf turned his head in puzzlement, knowing he was a canine but which one? Their attention was quickly taken by Adelphus rushing off for an unknown reason. Although he told everyone to stay, but that didn't mean he couldn't stand up. Looking around where Adelphus disappeared concerned at what may have happen to him, his wolf gazed up through his eyes as soon as Adelphus cam tumbling into the clearing with another wolf.
The geeky wolf actually put down her laptop and ran to help him, pretty much stating the obvious. He wanted to shout at her 'No shit sherlock! Want a cookie?' but he held his tongue. Moving close to the sickly wolf, he moved his hand forward slowly to brush along his skin the scent of pack, believing that was what Adelphus meant. Wondering if this newly turned wolf would run at the sight of a shift, Chris stepped back. "Adelphus, I hope you dont mind..." he left the sentence unfinished and walked away from the group as to not have- well the only word Chris ever used for it was 'goop'- plastered all over the unturned wolf. "I know its painful, I went through the same pain on my first change, but it gets easier, and with your pack surrounding you it will only get better."
His wolf brushed his insides, not clawing to get out like the wolf infront of him.
Yes my friend, you may take over, thank you for being so patient. In the blink of an eye where there once stood a man was now a beautiful
light brown wolf. Walking toward the downed wolf, Chris made his movements carefully, still partially in control- for thats what they agreed upon and equal power relationship. Making sure to sit close enough to the man to not frighten him, but close enough he could be near wolf. Merely looking at the man with out any true thought in his mind, Chris hoped it did not freak him out.
Apollo - September 9, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Apollo raised a brow at Adelphus as he moved into the clearing and and knelt down as part of the circle forming. He caught a male wolf looking oddly at him and quirked his head at him in invitation before he remembered he'd not ontroduced himself to the pack. Quickly he remedied that small indesrection. He raised his voice carefull to carry over the clearing, "I apologize for disturbing the lupanar of the Blue Moon pack. I am Apollinaire, or Apollo if it's easier to pronounce."
He stopped as he heard a noise in the forest and quirked his head sideways at Adelphus who got up and soon returned carrying a, diminuitive would be a bad term, but assuredly new wolf, who had apparently trying to reach the clearing on his own. He returned Adelphus' gaze, the question unspoken.
The dingo returned ot his feet sliding forms into his half-man form in the process as he moved towards Jace. He sighed as he reached out with his own forn of power into the whimpering wolf, an infinite pool of serenity and calm. He looked at Adelphus with a clear 'I'll tell you later' look.
Jacqueline Kapelos - September 9, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
Jacy watched Apollo change. She took a step back from the circle that was forming around Jace so as not to get any goop on anyone. She felt her eyes go first. Over the years her control had gotten so good she basically had to contrate on letting go. It didn't even hurt. One minute she was standing a few from everyone and the next she was a large black wolf with amber eyes. She glided back up and sat down on the other side of Chris but not close enough to freak Jace out.
JaceDeitor - September 9, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
As each new person stepped around him and changed, the pain lessoned to a dull ache, his mind on the other hand was split, anger and the need to be free, and the fear and need for comfort. His wolf was winning this fight, the mood saw to that. His metaphysical powers flared and rose up in him, his body swelling with his animal, making his muscles thick and brawnier then what they normally had been. His eyes were gleaming blacker then the night sky, making them seem like empty pits in the darkness.
He laughed silently, letting it roll from his throat, mixed with an agonizing groan, though the pain was less and he was in a far better place, what was happening could not be stopped and nor could the discomfort. His dull empty eyes searched the faces around him, and his lips curled into his well practiced smirk, the edges of his lips, drawing back up his jaw line as he slowly began the change.
As his eyes caught everyones he began to speak in a foreign and rough tone, staring at Apollo his voice spat out. "Look at the pretty boy come to calm me down, a regular down under monster. Like what you see?" he laughed quietly again, this time deeper and a bit more sadistic sounding. Next he glanced over at Kelsi, speaking in what can only be described as a half assed attempt at a bedroom coo "Hey book worm, when you get done writing out everything, I have something you can...take down."
Another laugh dribbled from his lips, his chest barreled out, splitting his shirt open, revealing pale flesh stretched thin over what was beneath,
Next he looked to Jacy, someone he had no contact with, not able to come up with any scornful remark, he simply spat an insult at her. "Bitch..." he writhed on his back, the change was coming full on now, soon he would be just a giant animal on its back.
finally he looked to his Ulfric, smiling happily up at him. "The man who wants to help me...? Big boss, the guy in charge..." he snorted and coughed, his throat was beginning to shift beneath his skin, making his voice more rough and deep. "Tell me something tough guy, you think your going a good job?" he forcefully lifted his arm up at an alarmingly fast speed, showing his fingers elongating, palms turning into padded paws, and fingernails being replaced by long black claws.
After a few moments, his face sank and he gave a deep look of fear, his eyes begging for the end of his suffering, the voice in his head was gone, now it was in his throat and chest, willing itself onto him. They were fighting for control, the animal and the man, melding into one another, struggling to speak, cry out, insult and shift.
With a choked rasp and a terrible scream, his body exploded in a mass of flesh and wet thick goop.
Katt Marshall - September 9, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
Katt lounged back against the grass, thoroughly ignoring the attempt at a glare sent to her from the girl with her laptop. She really wasn't in the mood to teach the girl a lesson in manner, especially when it came to being snotty to the Ulfric. If it came down to it, that would wait for another day. If Adelphus could ignore her attitude, then so could Katt. Instead, her eyes move to the newcomer. Had she just noticed him checking her out? Well, that was interesting to say the least.
With an internal grin, her eyes moved back to Adelphus as he stood. The scent of something different hit her nose. Wolf, but not wolf. Then, what appeared to be an old friend of Adelphus' appeared in the clearing, the Ulfric standing and welcoming him. Katt stood as well, offering a small smile and a nod at the man. That was when everything changed.
A strangled cry came from off in the distance, and Adelphus moved after it. Katt stood, moving forward as he reappeared with a man in his arms, a man that could only be the one that they were all here for. She said nothing as everyone began to move forward and began to change, the man screaming insults at everyone in turn. That was when she recognized him as Jace. Adelphus had told her that he was who they were to help with their first change, but the pained expression settled on his body had made him look very different than she remembered.
Without a word, Katt closed her eyes and let her head fall back. Her wolf paced behind her skin, aching for its release. Katt let her wolf know that now was the time. Not needing to be told twice, her wolf moved to take over, slipping through Katt's skin effortlessly. Rather than exploding, her skin seemed to melt away, dark black fur taking its place. Effortlessly walking away from her torn clothes, now on four feet, Jace's ragged scream settled in her ears, followed by a wet sound that could only mean one thing. Jace's beast had finally won.
Katt stopped, letting her head fall back and sending a houl up and into the night air. She then moved forward to join the circle of others surrounding him, prepared to hold Jace back if necessary. She knew what he would need more than anything else. A good hunt.
Adelphus Beckett - September 9, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Holding onto Jace with unyielding hands as he felt the man's body shifting beneath him, Adelphus sensed his other wolves starting to shift one by one until it was just Jace and himself still in human form. He kept holding him down as he insulted everybody, and merely smiled back as the insults were directed to him. He knew it wasn't Jace but his wolf, and as soon as that wolf was out then he would get put into his place, not before.
He turned his face away from Jace as he sensed the final part of the shift start, half of his face splattered with clear liquid and flesh moments later. He was now holding down a struggling wolf and despite his strength in human form and with help from his own wolf he was finding it slightly more difficult. Springing back from him with an easy grace, he was in his wolf form before his back paws hit the ground again. As a Japanese wolf he was slightly larger than the others naturally, but even so it was a large difference. He stood in the middle of the circle of his Pack and watched Jace a moment before lifting his head to the moon and letting loose the mourning notes of a Pack song, knowing that the others would soon join him as was nature. They were about to hunt.
JaceDeitor - September 9, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Slowly getting onto shaky legs, His body still long and humanistic, slowly slipping into a full wolf like state. His chest heaved and his stomach sank in on itself as he whimpered again and again. Blinking threw new eyes he gave himself a hard shake, his fur straightening out as the heavy goop flew free from the hair.
His eyes stared down at his hands, they were so foreign and different then what he thought they would be, and yet so familiar, like he had seen them a million times before in some dream. He guessed the wolf knew itself as well as he knew himself. They were one now in this state, the wolf and man. Both wanting and fighting for control and willing themselves this way and that.
He slowly stood up onto his back legs, slipping forward back onto his hands. 'This is gonna take some getting use to.' he mused to himself.
Apollo - September 9, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
Apollo stepped back from Jace as he shifted. However, as soon as the new wolf was done, he moved back up to Jace, letting his wolf instinct take over. He placed one of his clawed hands on the wolf and shoving him towards the ground, hard, digging in his claws. He snarled through his half-man mouth, "I'm pretty, and a boy, but watch who you insult."
His point he moved back form Jace making the yipping nosie of a dingo in resposne to the howl, not generally capable of truly howling like his brother wolves. He looked at Adelphus and jerked his head towards the tree tops, indicating he'd run through the trees above the pack.
Christopher Henley - September 9, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
Watching the pack shift around him filled Chris with happiness, then he knew that he could not turn down Adelphus and his pack, he already felt so at home with the wolves around him. The new wolf seemed to be filled with rage, Chris knew all to well those feelings, but that was long ago. Adelphus seemed to take the insults in stride along with the rest of the pack, no one seemed to take it too bad- or so Chris thought.
After Adelphus and the sickly wolf had fully changed, Apollo came up to him and stepped snarling at him through a half formed mouth. Chris walked forward as to be closer to both Apollo and the newly shifted wolf. A low growl seeped out of his mouth at the Dingo. Chris thought that he should know better, his actions were the effects of his rage filled wolf not being able to break out earlier. The Ulfric will see that his wolf will be put in his place, but Apollo was not the Ulfric.
Watching the new turned wolf not looking so sickly now a little wobbly on four feet. Hearing Adelphus howl, Chris could not help but join in the chorus. Moving closer to Adelphus, but near enough to the newcomer that Apollo still got his message, he sat beside the leader.
The only other wolf to truly catch his eye at the Lupanar was still the tattooed woman, now a beautiful wolf, if his wolf could his breath would have been stolen away. Turning his attention away form her and taking in each face as they were a brother or sister and filing away the human picture in his mind with their wolf counterpart. His mind wandered from the faces to his more instinctual wants, a hunt- food. Awaiting to be led by the Ulfric, Chris sat beside him awaiting direction.

Thrown back a little from Apollo's shove, his control broke and with a deep growl, he lowered himself instinctively to the ground and dug his back legs into the earth, squaring his muscles he shoved forward. using his long muscles to spring forward hard, wrapping his arms around Apollo's chest and throat, his jaws wrapping around the point where his shoulder and neck met, he bit and snarled, moving his head from side to side trying to tear flesh from bone in a destructive mind numbingly lost rage.
Adelphus Beckett - September 10, 2007 11:09 PM (GMT)
Adelphus' lips curled back in a wolf smile at the sight of Apollo and Jace, Apollo's words making him give a growling laugh to himself, and he had started to turn around to see if the entire Pack was indeed ready for the hunt when he heard the low growl start from Jace, could hear paws shifting into the earth.
Turning to face Apollo and Jace as Jace locked himself around the dingo, Adelphus lept towards the two and shifted as he went so that he landed in Jace's side in his 10 foot tall wolfman form, knocking the new wolf from the dingo with little effort. After a brief moment he was standing over Jace, snarling into his face with one clawed hand at the new wolf's throat, the other hovering over his stomach, claws positioned to disembowel him at a moment's notice.
"Are you willing to submit or am I going to have to teach you a lesson, pup?"
JaceDeitor - September 10, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
Jaces' rage had gotten the best of him, though he did not see the movement if he had, perhaps he could of reacted better, his limbs flailed at air as he was struck and when his Ulfrics claws positioned themselves, he gave a low whining growl of frustration. All this pent up power and no place to let it loose. He gave a small curt nod to his leader and slapped his hands away as he got back onto shaky legs, the adrenaline was now pulsing in his ears, and he felt like nothing more then just running.
"Just tell the pretty boy to keep his hands OFF of me and I'll play nice." he spat in the dingo's direction. Walking off to join and scent the other wolves of the pack.
Kelsi Whittle - September 11, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
Soon before Kelsi could even muster another word, the rest of the pack started to change into their wolf forms. Soon she would be forced to join them, and to change into her own form. Kelsi soon felt the first breaths of her change blow over her like a newfound power. She closed her eyes, feeling her wolf under her skin that demanded that it be let out to play. Suddenly, though, hearing the comment from Jace, she wanted to stop the change for a split second and smack him, but her power took over much too fast, and soon she was in her wolf form.
Standing only a mere two feet, Kelsi now took on the form of a female gray wolf. Not long after her change, her wolf ears picked up a ripping sound and a scream. Jace had, apparently, changed into his wolf form. With slow, small steps, Kelsi made her way over to Jace, sitting down a few feet away from him. He stood up with shaky legs, but seemed to topple over only seconds later. Cocking her head to the side and turning her ears to face the boy, she snickered at the fact that he could not stand on his own two legs anymore.
Then, the one called Apollo moved toward him and pushed him over, giving him a warning. In rage, the new wolf got up and attacked the weredingo. Kelsi was about to go up there and break up the notion (which, of course, wouldn’t have helped at all), but she only made a step when Adelphus jumped in. He gave Jace a warning, and the newer wolf merely brushed him off. She shook her head sat down again with the rest of the pack, eyeing Jace warily.
Rowan - September 13, 2007 11:26 PM (GMT)
Rowan watched with delight as everone began to change. She joined them, letting the wolf stretch her bones, the pale fur flowing over her skin. The change was swift, and nearly painless for her, though the momentary pain only made her happier. She shook off the icky goop and with a yip, she hopped a bit on the spot, ready to play with her new...family.
Then she heard Jace's comments and stood still staring at him. She wasn't sure if she should slap him to make him shut up, nudge him to show that his animosity was unnecessary, or just ignore him and keep her distance. however, the fight he got into with the dingo was hard to ignore. When it was over, she decided to pad over to him. She just stared at him for a moment, making it apparent that she was frustrated with him. Then she nudged his neck, a form of saying, "We'll all forgive you if you try to calm down."
She was a submissive, but it didn't mean she couldn't offer friendship. It didn't mean he would accept the help of a submissive either. She only hoped he would see she was not a threat and had no intention of being a threat. She hoped he would understand that a pack and everyone in it are made stronger by friendship and trust. They could only help him if he let them.

JaceDeitor - September 14, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
Padding away from all others, teeth barred as he hissed at the pain in his side caused by his Ulfric removing him from the fight. He was still angry and stress had begun to get the best of him, even now his mind felt fragmented, bits and pieces of coherent thought both from his wolf and his humanity began swimming together, forming newer less coherent wording. He shut his eyes tightly, drawing in a deep breath, hearing a few ribs popping back into place as he did he let it out.
Examining a puddle on the ground, he expected to be able to see himself like some movie character examining himself for the first time, but found it murky and blacker then his fur. If it were clear he would of seen a half man half wolf hybrid, tall in stature and built like a statue of a minotaur. Fur Black as can be, shining purple in the light of the moon with eyes like empty sockets, shimmering pools of black nothingness taking in all around him very quickly.
finally noticing someone's approach, he assumed a defensive position, his long ears back, mouth half parted expecting a blow and preparing for a strike. Not recognizing who the wolf was at first, he was abit suprised to find this creature, clearly female, nuzzling his neck.
Blinking rapidly he placed a hand onto her stomach and pushed her back firmly, letting out a low rumble from his chest. His words came fast and not from his conscience mind but that part that was still driven by baser anger and fear. "Never without my permission! Don't you.." he looked at everyone now, raising his voice so all could hear him "Don't any of you ever touch me without my permission!" He glared down at the girl now, recognizing her scent as that girl Rowan. He had never truly met her so he had no qualms about insulting her. "And you...unless your by me to put that backside of yours in the air and make good use of it, then get the hell away from me...."
He wasn't joking about his remark, he could take her right then and there, throw her down and howl at the moon as he rode her again and again, and the more he thought about it, the more he could see himself with the men as well. He suddenly found he enjoyed this thought, a pile of them all, even that dingo, all laying together, fur and muscles wrapped together, howling and fucking. Man did that scare him...
Rowan - September 14, 2007 11:29 AM (GMT)
Rowan almost lost her balance when he shoved her away, but regained it quickly. She had expected this. Although she tensed at his words, the images making their way to her mind before she could stop them, she tried her best to ignore it and only gave him a sad smile.
"Why do you feel the need to hurt those who want to help you?"
His comment recalled memories of her old pack, and how that had been one of the only things she was good for, the only way she could assuage and protect herself from a dominant. Give in, it will be over sooner. She stared up at Jace, the sight of him fusing with the memories, fear creeping into her. She spoke her thoughts.
"I think you would have liked my old pack, Jace. There were so many like you. There was no difference between Eros and Bolverk, an encounter with one meant experiencing the other as well."
Even if he didn't think he needed their help, he'd never survive in this world without it. He had no idea how powerful he could be if he tried. She turned away from him slightly, and spoke over her shoulder.
"As for your other comment, I would do it if it would make you any less violent. As I said, you'd like my other pack. They taught me to be used to that kind of thing."
She walked away then, not really caring if he responded. She was hurt, the memories were hurting her, but she could cry later. This was no reason to let a Full Moon Hunt turn sour.
Adelphus Beckett - September 14, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
Letting Jace move from beneath him with a low growl of warning incase he tried anything again, Adelphus stepped back and shifted back into his pure wolf form, padding over to the Pack and walking amongst them, exchanging scents and getting to know them all. Turning to watch as Rowan and Jace had their 'talk' but not interrupting this time, he bared his fangs in a snarl and stalked up to the pair, rubbing up against Rowan comfortingly before turning back to Jace, the whole Pack behind him and the newest wolf before him.
"Jace, if you wish to have any hope of staying in this Pack, or of learning to control your beast and have some peace, you will show respect and friendship to your Pack. I do not wish to fight you, or anybody in this Pack, for it is far better to live peacefully then be at civil war. Now, let us hunt."
Lifting his nose to scent the air, he gave a wolf smile and started to lope off into the trees, following the scent of stag, trusting the Pack to be behind him, Jace included in that group or not...
Christopher Henley - September 14, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
Watching the newcomer and Apollo fight Chris sighed inwardly. Within a Pack not all was peaceful and harmonious, but it seemed they were butting heads to just butt heads. Watching the timid wolf come up to the newly shifted half man form, he watched with intensity. If the wolf's actions toward the dingo and the Ulfric were any indication he would not spare his hatred for her.
His body tensed at him shoving the female, Chris could not stand violence toward women and immediately wanted to hurt him and run to her side. He stood there steadfast as ever, the Pack did not know Chris as they seemed to know one another as they met before. He may be perceived as an outsider to them and he did not want to push his luck with it.
Christopher couldn't help it, but padded off to the female that was pushed away. Making sure she knew he was not going to harm her, for the words she had spoken had hit a string on his heart that a pack could do that to its own members. Giving a small nuzzle to her that didn't last very long, for his ears perked at Adelphus's words and he began following the Ulfric-his Ulfric. Watching as the wolves began following, Chris decided he needed names to go along with the huan and wolf counterparts he had in his head.
JaceDeitor - September 14, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Jace bit his lip, again as in there little gathering at there Ulfrics home he was the center of attention and not in the good way. He felt remorse for how he was treating everyone, never in his life did he insult, threaten, and curse people like he was doing now. 'Maybe I do need control' he thought to himself, running his hand over his thickly muscled chest, brushing the hair over his padded palms.
His wolf spoke back now, a soothing dull roar inside his ears 'Control is overrated, there just shackles you know, things to keep you tied to what other people want you to do. Just think of how in that moment of when you were on the pretty dingo's back, biting, how free you felt. Think of how when the woman offered herself to you, how happy you were...Look at them all'
His eyes searched them all, they were all one side, him on the other. 'You wanna be like them, cowering behind someone, "respected" but treated like a child, you wanna go back to how your father treated you?' he was losing an inward argument with his beast, his eyes began to sink, glare at the ground, he hated the thought of being controlled by anyone, and believed whole heartedly respect is earned and should not be given until you have earned it.
"...No." he spoke loudly, standing up straighter then before, barring his fangs to them all, pointing a long clawed finger at his Ulfric. "Your the leader here why? Cause your the strongest? That makes you best to lead? And because your the strongest I should respect you and all these other people? TO help them as an Eros? Which I don't even know how to do! Rules, respect, pack, who's dominant who's submissive....its all pointless and stupid.
His body began to swell up, filling with the rampant energy of his wolf, unable to control it, it flared up and sparked behind his eyes, throwing back his head he let out a roar, wanting to howl but unable to completely. Backing down he lowered himself into a crouch, turning his head away in a half submissive posture.
No matter how much he complained about how things were, he knew he couldn't change them. But going quietly into the night was not something he was prepared to do, at least not the first time. "I'm sorry but....this can't be it..."
Kelsi Whittle - September 16, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
Kelsi watch everything happen before her with an intense glare. It seemed as if everything here was ripping apart at the seams. They now had a wolf in their pack that was rebellious, and didn’t know what to do at this point in time. If they merely let him waltz around, he would cause trouble, no doubt about it. And trouble was the very last thing this pack needed.
Kelsi turned her head back to make sure she hadn’t left her laptop on or in a position that it could be crushed by either Jace or someone that Jace shoved. Then a thought came to her. She wondered that the odds would be of her being able to type in something on her computer with her paws like they are now. She knew she wouldn’t be able to keep all the information of the pack on their hunt in her head for a very long time.
Turning back, Kelsi saw Jace push Rowan back and heard her reply to his… interesting request. She would have blushed herself, and most likely ignored him, but this other female wolf merely agreed with him, and walked off with as much pride as she had stood up to him with. Kelsi shook her head, unable to fathom what this pack was going to do about anything that went wrong. Adelphus’s pack was that of a China doll. It was so beautiful in its statueous physique, yet it would break with the weakest pressure put upon it. Kelsi sighed.
As Jace threw his head back in a screeching howl, more like a lion’s roar than anything else, Kelsi realized how weak he was. Not in physical strength, but in his mental stability. This new wolf was becoming increasingly interesting to Kelsi, almost like a new species of animal that she could study and figure out every little detail of. She wanted to know him, and she had no idea why.
Then Jace crouched again, a turned his head away. Without even thinking of what would happen, Kelsi padded over to where he was now. She sniffed his neck and lay down in front of him, tilting her head halfway into the grass in a questioning gaze. After such a burst of energy and rebellion, why was this new one acting submissive all of a sudden? It just didn’t seem right.
