History:Father MacNamara is third generation American Irish born and bred in Miami Florida. Although he has never visited Ireland, being brought up in a large Catholic family has resulted in him maintaining a hint of the accent in his gently spoken voice.
During a family get together to celebrate his 6th birthday that an unfortunate barbecue accident left him requiring a skin graft after 3rd degree burns to his hand. It was during the operation that he became infected.
Although academically minded, MacNamara's true passions lay in football. His dream was to one day play the game on a professionally basis. This dream was shattered during the big college play-off of 1980. It was during a reckless challenge that MacNamara left an opponent wheelchair bound. His lycan strength and speed that allowed him to play the game at such a high level had also been responsible for paralysing a young man. MacNamara promised himself to never play again as penance.
Father MacNamara went on to study architecture at university, but upon finishing his education decided instead to become a man of the cloth. He has been at St. Mary's for 20 years where he runs a friendly and popular parish appealing to both humans and lycanthropes alike. His choice to become a priest was largely contributed by his being infected with lycanthropy.

As the last parishioner left for the night, Father MacNamara pulled closed the heavy wooden double doors to the house of God. The shadows in the depths of the church reached out with their dark grasping fingers only to be fought back by the dim glow of candle light. MacNamara lit another candle feeling strangely connected to the small stick of wax.
Light and Dark.
Black and White.
Good and Bad.
Although MacNamara had to admit to himself that he was a little more greyer than white theses days, but then no one was perfect.
The moon had risen high enough in the night sky that its soft blue glow now shone through the tall and impressive stained glass windows. Tomorrow would bring with it the full moon and the irresistible urge to change. As the flame from the wick began to die MacNamara lit one last candle. “This one’s for me.” He mumbled quietly to himself with a gentle sigh.
