Walking into the office of the Master of the City, Adelphus frowned as he smelt one of his wolves. Upon a second more of scenting the air, he identified the scent as being that of Rowan's. What had his second most submissive wolf been doing in the office of Darla Strigoi? He would have to ask about that....

Settling himself in for what he felt would be an unhappy meeting for him, he sighed and stood by the window, peering out at the waxing moon. Not long now until Jace's first shift...another important matter for the new Ulfric.

Guy frowned inwardly as he moved towards Darla's office. The Ulfric of the Werewolves was an important visitor, and since Darla had been delayed ever so slightly, it fell to him to entertain their important guest. Still, he wished he had Darla's abilities for deailing with wolves, but he had taken the time to be a little prepared.

The témoin of the city stepped into the office quietly and shut the door to get the wolf's attention. Once there he bowed gracefully to the wolf before adressing him, "Konbanwa Beckett Adelphus. Watashi no namae wa Galeno desu. O genki desu ka?" He said, exhausting the sum total of the Japanese he'd learned in the five minutes of prep time he had. He continued in english, "I apologize for the inconvenience but Lady Strigoi has been momentarily detained. I'm her second. Is there anything I can have gotten for you?"

Rising at the sound of a vampire entering the room, Adelphus bowed in response to Guy's greeting, pleasantly suprised by the use of Japanese. Even if the accent wasn't perfect the attempt was appreciated.

"Konbanwa Galeno. Hai genki desu."

Rising from his bow, Adelphus smiled and switched back to English too, knowing that Guy had extinguished his Japanese in that greeting from his reversion back to his native tongue.

"I thank you for that thoughtful greeting Guy, it is wonderful to know that some still exist who are so considerate. It is no inconveniance at all. Lady Strigoi is, I am sure, a busy woman. I am in need of nothing at present, but wish to congratulate you on reaching the position of second to the Master. I am correct in thinking that you did not hold this position when last we met at the bar?"

Darla walked quickly through the front door of her estate and shed her cloak into the arms of the waiting butler without stopping. Tonight, of all nights, and she had been called to one of her clubs to settle a fight between some vampires and bikers. She had vented her anger at having been called away on the night she was to meet the Ulfric, and was now just outside her office. She could hear Guy and whom she presumed to be Adelphus talking and she squared her shoulders before entering the room. Giving a slight bow to the Ulfric, she nodded to Guy in welcome then took a seat so that they could all sit rather than stand through the meeting.

"I apologise for my late arrival Ulfric, I was called to settle a dispute at one of my businesses. I trust my temoin has made you comfortable?"

The vampire nodded couteously at the wolf, "You would be correct, Ulfric. At the time I had but just entered this city myself at the time, and was still unsure of my own welcome here. Vampires are a notoriously twisty-tunry underhanded lot, of course." The vampire smiled at his own slight jab to vampiredom. "I believe, I feel the mistress approaching, Adelphus."

The Florentian vampire turned and bowed politely to Darla as she entered. He smiled at her, "I could hardly ask for a more pleasant task my mistress, as I have had the pleasure of meeting the Ulfric before, as you know. At any rate, mistress, I present to you Adelphus Beckett Ulfric of the Miami werewolves."

Adelphus chuckled along with the joke then just as suddenly stopped at the mention of the mistress being there. Now to business, not jokes. He bowed to Darla as she entered and stayed standing until she was seated.

"Lady Strigoi, it is a pleasure to meet you at last. The Putelanus Luna Pack extends its greetings to you and yours."

"Konbanwa Adelphus, Ulfric of Putelanus Luna. Thank you, the Kiss of Miami also extends its greetings to you and your wolves."

Taking in the Ulfric's appearance quickly, Darla took note of the style of his kimono and his bearing, then smiled at his accent. He was from the same part of Japan in which she met Wolfrevan in the 16th century...a beautiful city. Perhaps Wolf would be interested in talking with him some day, one a former wolf the other the Ulfric, both having roots in the same part of Japan...

"So then Ulfric, you wished to have a meeting with me and I am here. What would you ask of me?"

"I would ask nothing Lady Darla, but of your plans. I know that you can call the wolf, and I wished to discuss with you your intentions in terms of that power. I would much rather we form a partnership that both can benefit from rather than working on the assumption that we shall come whenever you call."

Listening quietly, she waited until she was sure that Adelphus had finished before responding.

"I have formed no plans as to the use of my power over the wolves Ulfric, indeed I was planning on inviting you here to discuss this. You simply got to the matter first..."

Smiling softly, she tilted her head to view him a moment before continuing.

"I too prefer that relationship. I honour you and your wolves, and hope to form an alliance rather than a slave and master bond. I would merely ask that should I require assistance from you or your Pack, that you will give it. If a show of power is needed, then you would be valuable. If bodyguards are needed I would ask if any of you are willing. Things of that vein. In return you may ask the same of me."
