Marcus' mind had long stopped musing on his earlier meeting with his new Rex, but he was far from relaxed. During the entire encounter at the bar with the bikers, and then his joining of the new Pride, Marcus had kept his lion firmly out of his mind, and was paying for it. Usually, when he had no need to think like a human, he didn't. His lion was as much a controlling force in his body as his human brain, if not more sometimes. Whilst talking to Francisco, his lion had not stopped pacing, trying to get him to let him back in, and now that Marcus had let him take over again, he was paying for it. The lion was grumbling at him, pissed at the enforced seperation, and was now trying his best to shift in the hummer. The thought of having to clean the hummer was the only thing keeping Marcus from obliging, and as he finally pulled to a stop, he was barely out of the door when he shifted.
He had always been a fast shifter, right from the first change, but with time it had gotten to the point where it took mere seconds with barely any effort. Standing on all fours in full lion form, he shook his mane in the breeze and let out a happy roar before starting to pad into the forest, tail swinging behind him as he scented the air. Picking up the scent of rabbits and birds, he wrinkled his nose and kept going deeper, hoping for deer or even better bear. He wanted a good hunt, and only the big things could put up a fight like he wanted. He was rewarded minutes later at the scent and sound of a male bear foraging up ahead, and with a fanged grin and pleased growl, he slunk lower to the ground and started advancing quietly.
