Through his will, the world's crimes have become a thing of the past. Evil doers live in constant terror that the gaze of the God of the New World will be upon them.

But from the ashes of this "New World" rises a legendary detective known only as L. He works without rest to stop the monster known as Kira and end the man's rampage. To L, killing is still killing, no matter how noble the intentions. To L, Kira is just another psychotic serial killer. But is Kira closer to L than the detecive assumes?

Which side shall you take? Aide L and end the tyranny of Kira? Or become one of Kira's followers and worship the new God? Light or Dark? Life or Death? The choice is entirely yours.
